Dirty Room. Dirty dusty box spring matted with hairs. Dirty dusty baseboard full of hairs under the bed. Dirty fan blades. Used soap bar left in the shower. Dirty carpeting.
Great night time snacks and wine. Good Breakfast. Kelly at the front desk was great.
Overall a sad anniversary gift for my wife.
After 11 days, unable to reach the Inn Keeper for a solution to the dirty issue.
Very sad for the next guests to this room.response / report this review -

This was the best b&b I've ever been to.
We came in at 830pm and Kelly was so helpful. She gave us a tour of the house, and took us to our room. She was absolutely wonderful. I believe that she is what made the stay so great. All of the staff were so kind.
The room was clean, and beautiful. The garden was gorgeous. I loved the fountain. I was so happy to get to hear it every morning. It was soothing.
The parking is a pain, but what can you do? It didn't cause any pain (except the fact that we got towed, but that was our fault, it's just something for the future guests to think about).
My husband enjoyed a night cap one evening, and we had desserts sent to our room because we missed them. Kelly just sent them to our room.
This was our honeymoon, and my brother-in-law sent candy and champagne to our room. They had an excellent selection. Just wonderful.
We will always come back. Hopefully next time, it won't be during a marathon race weekend.response / report this review -

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Eliza Thompson house. The building is stunning and the staff is extremely friendly and hospitable. They offer complimentary breakfast (delicious) as well as wine and dessert in the evening. We would absolutely stay there again!

The feel of the house is authentic, and it's very beautiful. Their breakfast was very yummy and the wine hour was just fun. You get to sit around and talk to the fellow guests and get to know them. It's in the middle of everything, walking distance from everything. I will definitely stay there again.

Absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Staff is wonderful! The wine/cheese and coffee/dessert hours are such a neat idea and are a fun way to meet other travellers. We visited during our honeymoon and we were greeted with rose petals, Champagne, and strawberries in our room. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Strong recommendation and kudos for Eliza Thompson House. This B&B lived up to highest expectations Rare these days that you say, "i couldn't have asked for more" Very nice room, Great breakfast, late afternoon wine and cheese, evening desserts, staff always friendly and upbeat Great location will definitely go back and enthusiastically recommend!

The staff made truly made our stay the memorable anniversary it was. Kelly, Nell, and Jamie (I think that's her name- she works third shift) went above and beyond to make our stay what it was. From providing wine to giving information about local events, they truly exhibited "southern charm" at its best. So much so we even tried booking next years annivarsary as we have no desire to stay anywhere else. Thank you for a wonderful stay- I can't think of any aspect of our stay left wanting.

My mom and I went on a spontaneous trip to GA. When we arrived at Savannah, we were unsure at what specific hotel to stay at in town. We were used to Hilton's, but we found this place and fell purely in love with the location, rooms, and history. Kelly is such an amazing concierge and the staff is very kind. They answer any questions and make you feel like family. I am definitely going back as much as I can to stay here and revisit the city. Everything was in walking distance. We ate at Corleone's, visited the river, and had a overnight investigation at the Sorrel-Weed house. The rooms give an older aura, but they are NOT outdated (some of the old wooden floors still remain). The breakfast is delicious and can be eaten in the courtyard or taken up to the room. They have a time for free wine and crackers as well as dessert. The safety of the place is also tight. From night to early morning, the doors are all locked. When we got done with our 2.5 hour investigation at 2 AM, we used one of the 2 keys that they gave us to get into the building. And even then, some staff was around to check on who it was. For parking, there are meters outside that go up to 2 hours for ($2.00). They start at 8 AM and go until 5 PM, but the place offers 48 hours parking passes for a certain amount if you're staying for awhile.

The sweetest thing about my stay was this b&b. Great food, evening drinks in the parlor. Small but very nice rooms. Best staff, super helpful and friendly.

The Eliza Thompson House accommodations and staff are simply wonderful. We found everyone to be helpful and very engaged in the service. The whole experience was A+ and we will certainly return. I would especially like to thank the cook who made the best grits I have ever had.

We stayed here for one night last winter while on a road trip from Pennsylvania to Florida. Big mistakewe needed more than one night to take advantage of all Savannah has to offer! The Eliza Thompson House was perfect we showed up without a reservation (pretty gutsy for us) and were thrilled with our choice. Jones Street is THE prettiest and very convenient to everything we could cram into less than 24 hours! Our room was small but decorated so attractively and very comfy. My favorite was the beautiful patio courtyardwe sat out there for a glass of wine and then again for breakfast. This B&B exudes charm at every turn!

This was my first B&B stay in Savannah with my Fiance. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and a little quirky. The room we stayed in was not a part of the main house and was more newly renovated. The room was a bit underwhelming especially for the price. I recommend spending the extra to stay in the main house. Complementary wine and sherry in the evenings which is always welcomed, and complementary desert and snacks (really delicious crab dip). The location is prime, as it is not far from any restaurant and is right on Bull street, so that means an easy walk straight to the river (unless it's in the summer and scorching hot). The breakfast was served in the courtyard, featuring pancakes, sausage links, fruit, cereal (typical continental breakfast). This defeats the purpose of a B&B, but I suppose this is technically called a hotel. The location, history of the house, and staff make this place worth it!
