Loved my stay at this hotel! Very helpful and friendly staff! Very clean and comfy beds. Love staying in hotels where animals are not welcome. So much cleaner place to stay. Breakfast was awesome!

Spotty place.
First, the rooms. Mine was Room 111, on the first floor. It was as quiet and intimate as the waiting room at the Greyhound Bus station. The rugs were dingy and old, so was the 1980's discount furniture. The sofa was threadbare and lumpy, the office chair was peeling and falling apart. It looked like a Mexican flop joint on a good day. The only good thing was the bed and new table lamps. The shower head was one of those that you have to be a SMALL MIDGET to get under. These aspects receive ZERO stars.
The remaining two stars are, one for the staff members, including the bubbly manager, 'Donna,' and equally nice supporting staff, and the second star is the only thing that truly redeems this car wreck from the trash bin, the absolutely FREE shuttle service that will actually take all hotel residents to and from any store, venue, or restaurant that you want. This single service is the only thing that places this place apart from all the rest. But the aged and worn condition of the place is truly pitiful. So if you're looking to impress someone with your choice of rooms, look elsewhere.response / report this review -

The best measure of our satisfaction is that we will choose Comfort Suites, historic district, when we visit again--and that is likely to be a frequent event since we're just 1 hr 45 min away and there is more Savannah than one can wrap their mind around in just a few days. We say this having stayed another facility about a year or so ago and it was well located and highly rated. For us Comfort Suite is a far better value and has features not available at that location.

The manager, Rashad, was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle drivers were also very friendly and helpful. They gave us information of the best places to visit during our stay. The shuttle was very convenient and picked us up in a timely manner. The room was okay. I had issues with it being very dusty and when checking the mattress, I did notice a spring coming out the side. I also noticed some black marks around the seams of the mattress (sure sign of bed bugs). I didn't see any bed bugs but I didn't sleep well being that I saw those marks. Hopefully that issue has been handled or will be. Some zippered mattress covers is definitely an investment they should make. This hotel is not in the historic district but it is about 3 minutes to River Street and some great restaurants.

They saved us! What a lovely hotel and staff! After calling over 10 hotels on our evacuation route through GA, we finally decided to drive further to Savannah and they had available rooms! I was desperate so we would have accepted ANYTHING but they far exceeded out expectations! The woman who helped us last night was so sweet and accommodating (I forgot her name). She really made us feel welcome, showed so much compassion for us from a discount on our room to waiving the parking fee. That helped so much on our already expensive evacuation trip. The room was immaculate and so comfortable. We just needed sleep and those beds were so comfy and soft and clean! We enjoyed a complimentary buffet style breakfast with sausage eggs and waffles. Also had fresh bagels and apples and cereal options in a spacious and clean dining room. It was a much needed break that gave us peace of mind and refreshment. We will definitely keep them in mind for any future visit to Savannah. We would highly recommend them for their service and very clean, luxurious hotel. Thank you so much! Oh and did I mention it was 5am that we showed up and the room was ready for us when I had called an hour before form another town that everything was sold out. Lifesavers!

My past experiences have been awesome at this hotel. But, not so much this tripI was with a party of 4, but had to call to front desk each night to get an adequate number of towels and washcloths for the room. It made no sense! On our last night, the room keys were deactivated and front desk staff couldn't get them working again. It was definitely an off week for Comfort Suites Historic District.

Stayed here for a birthday trip and very much enjoyed the rooms. It was clean and neat with comfortable beds. We had plenty of outlets to plug all our chargers in to. Walking distance to River St and City Market but you won't do much walking with their free shuttle service to take you around. I will stay here next time I go back to Savannah.

Great staff and very accommodating hotel! The concierge and manager, Jeanne and Guillermo, are very active in the Savannah community and can give you some great local suggestions. The Location is just steps away from three Savannah College of Art and Design facilities (one of the best art/design schools in the world), an amazing craft brewery, and distillery!
If you love beer, visit Service Brewing Co! If you love spirits visit Ghost Coast Distillery! I highly recommend this hotel!response / report this review -

Odd odor throughout hotel, like a cheap type of cleaner. Dated, dark, worn decor. Marked walls. Bathroom countertops not wiped completely clean. Scratched, rusted commode. Adjacent to historic district. Couldn't cancel our reservation or I would have gotten the heck out of here. Plus, why the need to pay $20 parking.

Clean hotel and great location near the Savannah Historic District. Close enough to walk there but also have a free shuttle option. Concierge desk has discounts for the Old Savannah Trolley Tour, highly recommended. Great stay and good all-around value.

Shuttle service and concierge service was excellent. Really enjoyed Military parking spots in front. That was greatly appreciated. Continental breakfast was awesome.

I never want good customer service to go unappreciated, so I'm writing this review. We had a bit of a screw-up with our room. Not the kind of thing that really ruins a vacation, but it was an inconvenient half hour after a day of walking around the city, with a hungry baby we were eager to take care of. Well, after finally giving us a room and key that actually worked (third time's the charm), they also gave us a very significant price cut. So in the end, they absolutely made up for the inconvenience, above and beyond what they needed to do. That's customer service!

Very comfortable rooms, helpful staff. Pool is tiny, smaller than a backyard aboveground pool. Continental breakfast is not good. Powdered eggs, sausages that must be microwaved to be so soft, and both are served out of a chafing tray with about 2 inches of water in the bottom making a gross soup as it soaks the lower half of both. Waffle batter somehow produced a chewy-yet-soggy batter, and no real maple syrup, only the fake corn syrup. Coffee is decent.
