We love staying here anytime we visit Gatlinburg. Within walking distance from the middle of downtown. We enjoy the two hot tubs while our daughters swim in the heated indoor pool. Staff is always friendly and go above and beyond.
A favorite in Gatlinburg when visiting, which is at least annually. The rooms are always clean, the service is consistently excellent. Breakfast free and above that of what most hotels offer. This hotel is surrounded by great places to visit, coffee shops, restaurants - both fast food and sit down type.
The hotel was great. You can walk to the attractions in Gatlinburg easily. Shop and drop purchases off in your room. Breakfast was great. There is coffee 24/7 which is excellent. Nice front desk people. There is a river that ran below our balcony as we looked out at Gatlinburg.
Staff 5 stars. Super nice and accommodating.
Room 2 stars. Old, small, very cramped bathroom, our faucet dripped. It us in need of a major refresh.
Pool 5 stars. Our kids loved the pool. Only 5ft at the deepest, has a slide and nice hot tubs.
It was a great hotel and great place to hold meetings. I loved the river in front of the hotel. I am a Mary Kay girl and this was my first fall retreat and it was great. The breakfast was pretty good too.
Very nice hotel with great views. Clean and well maintained. The pool is indoor and outdoor and plenty of fun. Staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good for a Continental breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
Great value! The rooms are clean and spacious. It was enjoyable to have a hot breakfast buffet in the morning hosted by your friendly staff. We enjoyed the updated pool with mini water slide, jacuzzis, overall decor, and the cozy fire pit. Thanks for the no-hassle check in and check out. **Please change the font color on your website as it's currently next to impossible to read.**
I booked this hotel as kind of a last minute thing as the other hotel we booked was under construction. Let me start off with, we loved this hotel. It has a 2 tier parking garage. Great breakfast. Friendly workers and nicely clean rooms. The pool is super nice as well. As a small water slide indoor and you can even swim from the outdoor pool to the indoor pool. We will definitely book this hotel again.
Only thing we didn't like was the people's parking in the garage cause most didn't know how to park so finding a parking space to fit into was a little difficult. And the elevators are kind of slow.
Sadly, this place has such potential but the rooms drastically need updating.the staff works tirelessly to keep it presentable but filthy carpet is filthy carpet! They need more elevators, better parkingtheir signs of van parking only are not enforced
It says it is a non-smoking facility but that is not enforced.even had smokers around outside pool. Breakfast was bland, bland, bland. I just believe the owners are content and I regret this because we have stayed here for years but we are finding newer facilities for the fall and Christmas visits.
Place is decent, close to major attractions and well kept. Parking and elevators are the biggest pain. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
The only special feature, which is very important is, the staff. They're very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area and area events. Thanks Guys and Gals!
I'd recommend and would stay at this hotel again, just don't expect to be wowed. The rooms were ok; they could be a tad cleaner and larger, there are functional balconies but small, the beds were fairly comfortable (I slept just fine), coffee maker, microwave, and a good size fridge .
I wasn't a fan of the exposure of the ice machines. The parking structure is really really tight. Edgewater is, however; centrally located to all of the action, with a slow flowing shallow moat, which surrounds the property, which produces a soothing sound in the background.
Hotel needs some serious updates. The rooms are small and very dated. There are some rooms overlooking the creek but the hotel said they were all sold out event hough half of them appeared to be empty. The pool and game room were both closed due to smoke from the fires, and the rooms still had an odor of smoke. The breakfast area was nicely done, but the quality of the food was almost disgusting. There are better hotels in the area, and I would recommend going elsewhere for a better experience while in town.
We always enjoy staying at the Edgewater. The indoor pool has been renovated, with a water slide added. I like that the continental breakfast offers sausage, eggs, and waffles. The decor is average, but the mattresses are nice and that's more important than looks, to me. It's just a quick walk to the Aquarium or the Parkway and they offer free wifi.
