Beautiful views are the key to this hotel. Balcony either has views over the city or of the amazing mountains. Location is higher than most of the other hotels. This does make it unable to walk to the busy area of the town but well worth it. Staff is very accommodating and the restaurants and bar area is a great place to eat. No need to leave the hotel. Outside fire pit is cozy. Indoor water area is big enough for many people. Two slides and area for adults too!

Room, view, and location were absolutely fantastic. We made the reservation months ago, and were told check-in was at 4:00 p.m. We arrived at 4:30, waited in line for 20 minutes, and then were told our room wasn't ready and were given very vague answers when we asked when it would be ready. "Go on to town and get ya' something to eat and then check back." is what we got. Once it was finally ready, we asked for some sort of compensation for the delay. "No." was the response we received. Other than that, fantastic experience.

We have stayed at the Vista before and had such a wonderful experience. So we decided to book our stay again at the Vista this year. However this experience was not very pleasant. I am very unhappy with how the staff handled our situation. When I called to book the room, I asked if the indoor pool was open, since we were booking same day as our check in. I was told yes that the indoor pool was open and would be till midnight. So the family and I checked in, went to our room and the kids immediately wanted to go to the pool. So the family headed to the pool to find out that it was closed. It had been for quite some time, so it was no unexpected incident that occurred just a bit ago. When we asked about getting some sort of refund, we were told we could check out and not be charged. Well, I hope if we check out and leave that we wouldn't be charged since we didn't stay. There was no I'm sorry, no offer of a discount since we paid 303.00 a night. As much as we paid, there should have been some offer as to a discount or something. No empathy from the staff at all. So we packed up the kids and left. I will never stay at the Vista again b/c of this. It's not the whole fact the pool was not working, but how the staff treated us. One, we asked before we booked and were told one thing and when we went to the pool it was closed. No one told us even when we checked in. I felt lied too. I felt like they were hoping we would over look the fact. We were able to go down the street and find a hotel with an indoor pool that worked and were welcomed with open arms. They even told us sorry that we had that experience, and they don't even work at the Vista!!

My wife and I stayed here over Christmas and loved it! Our whole vacation in Gatlinburg was incredible, and we owe much of that to The Park Vista. We had the breakfast buffet every morning, which was delicious. We also got drinks at the hotel bar, Firefly's. The king size bed was so comfortable that we had trouble leaving it each morning. The hotel has about 15 floors, and there are phenomenal views from each one, as the hotel itself sits atop a mountain overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains and the city of Gatlinburg. There is an indoor pool with slides; it really seems like a fun place for children and adults to relax. My only complaint is that my food order was wrong when we ordered room service. But all in all, this hotel is great, and it's only about an 8-minute drive into town. (You can see the hotel from downtown Gatlinburg streets.)

Nice and clean remodelled (probably from the 70s) hotel with friendly staff and pretty good food. The pool was fun and the hot tub was big enough to have several people comfortably fit. The pool was heavily chlorinated, but hey that's better than filthy! The trolley to downtown Gatlinburg stops right outside the door, which is definitely the way you'll want to get around there. Parking for the hotel was plentiful, and the view (picture below with the fall leaves) from our hotel room was really pretty. Fun and comfortable for kids and adults!

Nice hotel fantastic views. The hotel has been updated but still shows its age in some areas. Courteous staff and overall a pleasant experience. Biggest gripe is getting to and from the hotel. There is no safe walking path and the hill is too difficult and narrow for anyone to walk w daytime traffic. Parking is ample at the hotel lot but in a town where you can't park anywhere service on and off "the hill" is limited to trolleys from the city. If I had my way I would request a walking path for those energetic of us or at least a golf cart on call to get up and down the hill when the trolley isn't around. Having said that many people just wait for the trolley to do its thing.

The hotel had a very appealing lobby. The room was a good size and very neat. The balcony was not what I expected. It was only a walk out and not one to sit on and enjoy the views. I appreciate the fact they allow pets. However, they say pet friendly and I say pet tolerant. Pets are not allowed on patio with you and they were not even sure if they could go on the shuttle to town. I am thinking that if you allow pets it can be assumed that people will ask these questions and you should know the answer. That is just something that would account for good customer service. Overall, the hotel was very nice with lots of outdoor space. I would recommend it and I would stay there again.

Nice property. Up the hill from the strip, a neat getaway in itself. The Park Vista has enough on property that you wouldn't have to leave. But, when you do venture to the Gatlinburg hustle and bustle the trolley picks up right at the front door. This is invaluable because the road up to the hotel is steep and would be a fair walk. The all day trolley passes are available at the front desk and are inexpensive. Our two King bed room was plenty spacious and comfortable. Everything we've come to expect from Hilton. The breakfast was exceptional, and service good. Definitely recommend, and would stay here again

Amazing layout, even better views. This hotel is very nice. Beds are soft and comfortable. Bathroom is very tight, but only need that room for two things. Balcony is small but the view makes up for it. Overall love this stay. Has and outdoor patio with fire pit. Indoor and outdoor pools with a Jacuzzi.

Beautiful location atop a hill at the base of the Smokey mountains. Overlooking the town of Gatlinburg. Little tricky to find but well worth it. Plenty of parking for the most part. Front desk staff was great, check in went smoothly. Lobby area is awesome. It's a round structure so there are many unique aspects to experience. Housekeeping does a great job. My room was clean, comfortable, and the mountain view was awesome. Highly recommend.

We was not very happy with our stay. Booked from 7/8-7/12/2017 room 1416. For the price of the rooms there was no bang for your buck at all. Long walk to your carfood was not that good and fryer was down or they was out of what you order. Breakfast was good but not much to go wrong with. Could not enjoy pool lots of kidscheerleader was in most of the hotel. Could not enjoy seating in lobby or bar. Was not what we thought it would be for a Hilton Hotel. My boyfriend booked this room and believe me when I say he knows his hotels and he was not happy. Will not be back!

Beautiful view, staff very friendly, welcome cookies. They have a store, if you forgot something. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Lots of things in lobby. Pool area was big 2 pools and slides. There was a little game room and work out room in pool area. The only thing I had a problem with is you have to go down a lot of stairs. That didn't seem safe to me and I wasnt even swimming.

Clean no one bothered us. Remote didn't work, but called front desk and they sent someone up immediately. My kid loved the water slide at the pool. Overall nice spot.

The Park Vista is a beautifully designed 15-story tall hotel on the outskirts of downtown, Gatlinburg, TN. The hotel sits atop a large hill, which aesthetically is kind of nice, but it also gives you a bit of a disconnected feeling from the rest of Gatlinburg, as it's inadvisable to walk down the large hill and walk into the downtown. Instead, you can wait for a trolley to that comes every half hour to bring you to the downtown area (about a 5-10 minute drive), or you can drive, but there is no free parking in Gatlinburg, which makes things a bit frustrating. Location aside, this is a beautiful, beautiful hotel, and the views can't be beat. All rooms come with a balcony, so the higher up you are the more visual splendor you'll see. My father and I stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a little bit pricey, but it's worth the price for a short stay. Proximity to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and downtown Gatlinburg is excellent.

We love the area. The hotel is at the edge of town on mountain, so not in the thick of crowds. The mountain view rooms are our favorites. Fabulous to be in bed and see the Smokies towering over you or the famous mist/"smoke" hovering just outside. The special indoor swimming area is a favorite of our kids and the trolley coming to the door of the hotel means you don't have to worry about finding parking or paying fees in town. We've stayed at other hotels in town, but only because this wasn't available! It's always our first choice.
