This school changed my life! Hopefully they'll add healthcare informatics or admin to the adult programs!
This publicly funded school discriminates based on sexual orientation with regard to instructors.
I was discriminated against because of my service dog by the principal of EVIT school in Mesa. I was embarrassed by him asking me what my service dog was for in front of people, he told me he doesn't let dogs in his school. I told him it was a federal law for me to have my dog in school. He said he will have to check the school rules I once again said that it was a federal law for me to have my service dog in school. He continued to argue with me and ask me what I even needed him for. I told him that I have him for multiple reasons and that I had a seizure in class the week before. He said well I still need to check our rules. I explained that if his rules say that I can't have my dog then I want a full refund. He said well then go get your money. I was really upset and embarrassed. I feel he could have as the principal taken me to the office. I notified the school upon signing up for class allowing them to make copies of my dog's service licence. I spend over 4,000 cash for this class. Not to mention this money was monry my dad left me when he passed away from cancer. All I wanted was to be a photographer and I was working really hard but because of this principle embarrassingme I don't feel comfortable continuing at this school Now I will have to start over at another school from the beginning. I feel the principal made it extremely clear that he does not want dogs in his school service dogs or any other dogs
He needs to answer for this.
Great instructors! I personally went to this school for Firefighting.
I graduated from his class Steve Grosz radio broadcasting class in 2004 he is such an Awesome teacher
If I could rate 0 stars I would. I took the programming course and it was the biggest waste of time and money. Not only did I not learn a damned thing, but in fact I am 99% sure I lost braincells. The computer department is INCREDIBLY underfunded, to the point I had to work with teachers to petition to get better internet for my class! The teacher was an absolute bafoon, who had no knowledge in computers, or robotics and was just out of his mind. When we talked to the VP of the school, her plans were just as stupid! If you are wanting a good education in computers, with good teachers and support this is not the place to go! You will regret it!
I had a teacher who lost our finals but he left I hear this year the hvac was pretty good and saw the set up looked 10 times better than when I went unfortunately
I studied Multimedia/Graphic Design from in 2014-2016.
Eric Perez is an amazing teacher. I worked closely with the radio program as well. All of the staff were so helpful and encouraging. At EVIT, all a student has to do is work hard and opportunities to succeed will present themselves.
