We could only book a room with 1 king bed for a family of 5 at time of booking over the phone. The reservation specialist suggested she could put us down for a roll away bed. When we got to the hotel to check in they said roll aways are first come first serve and they had none left check back tomorrow. Same thing the next day. We had to sleep 2 nights in a 1 king bed room with a family of 5 and all the hotel could say was sorry. No offer to do anything else, just sleep on the floor. Also the $12/night for parking at the garage across the street is sham. It is cheaper to just pay the parking garage rate than the hotel $12/night. If we would have known this up front we would have found a different hotel to stay at, but there were no vacancies at other hotels due to the large regional gymnastics meet. Very disappointing!
Nice hotel but the Cedar plants mean train horns at all hours and the entry from the parking garages is a little weird. Only option that is nice in the heart of downtown.
Pool only, no hot tub.
The hotel kept in line with the high standards that we've come to appreciate from Double Tree hotels. The staff was excellent and very prompt when we needed extra towels. They even put a mini fridge in the room when we asked if the time came with them, that was a plus. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the train whistles blew all night and made sleeping difficult.
Quick~Simple~Easy describes staying here. Convenient parking. Friendly staff. We are repeat guests, this is our go to place to stay in Cedar Rapids!
Connected to US Cellular Center. Great to see a show and walk through the doors to go to your hotel room.
A few bars/restaurants nearby for a drink or a bite to eat.
Oh and don't forget the delicious warm cookie, it's always a welcome treat!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was so nice having the US Cellular right there. Once we was checked in there was no reason to leave. Valet parking was excellent, room service and the 350 restaurant was great! Rooms clean, quiet and a great over all experience. For any future events at the US Cellular center we will definitely be staying here!
As always, the Hilton Double tree in Cedar Rapids helps make our professional events something special. The facilities are clean, beautiful, and well-appointed. The food was very good, and variety was beyond what one normally finds at conference-style events. The staff was courteous, professional and went out of their way to serve us well. Overall great experience. If you're looking for a facility to host an event, definitely consider this.
This is a very nice hotel. The staff is proactive and does a great job making sure guests are taken care of. It's also an extremely convenient place to stay if you're attending a convention that is hosted downstairs. The restaurant on the 16th floor was great (they have $10 lunch deals, that includes food, drink, and tax) and their staff was also amazing. I would give 5 stars, but rooms did not come with a microwave or fridge so you are pretty much forced to buy food or get room service . Otherwise, I completely recommend.
Rooms were immaculate. Room service prompt and courteous. Staff at the 350 very attentive, food looked and tasted great. Best valet team. Overall great experience at this hotel.
Also able to run in the downtown area- felt safe and cute dining within walking distance.
A quick night spent in downtown Cedar Rapids. Booked last minute and they had a good weekend rate.
Comfortable, friendly and lovely view of the city. The hotel is located directly next to an active train line, and train horns blow late into the night and early in the morning.
Warm cookie, friendly staff - and some train noise.
Beautiful hotel in downtown Cedar Rapids. The staff was great and the rooms were nice. Definitely one of the best Doubletrees I've stayed at. Plenty of great places to eat within walking distance. They only issue I had was the hotel is right next to the train yard. Lots of train horns at all hours.
We had a nice room on the 11th floor. Beds & rooms seemed small, but typical of a downtown hotel. Pretty long walk to the hotel from the parking deck, but there is a loading area to pull up and drop off luggage. We opted to carry our items from the deck, which we regretted as we passed through what seemed like a dozen pull handled doors with arms full of stuff. As we actually arrived in the hotel part of the complex, however, a staff member helped us with doors and all of our stuff, even waiting for us to check in to continue carrying our items. It was very nice. Parking was easy, including the voucher system from the hotel for free parking. I am not going to lie, I was very happy to get the warm cookie at check in.
Place is very clean with great service. I've always been a fan of double tree hotels and this one keeps up with everything I've come to expect. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Can't wait for my next stay. The breakfast is awesome!
DoubleTree is never a disappointment it seems, and this downtown Cedar Rapids high-rise is no exception. Elegant hotel with spacious rooms, location is perfect for walking around downtown or over to the Cedar River, no driving necessary. "The Cookie" is an unavoidable staple of the DoubleTree experience & the hotel had plenty of them. Great stay, would love to come back anytime I'm in Cedar Rapids again!
The room was nice. Great view. There was trash left in the bathroom trash can from previous occupant I presume. Glasses were dirty on the counter as well. I wipe everything down with sanitizing wipes so I know all that was clean. Train was near by but didn't disturb us sleeping. Pool was cool but fine for as long as we stayed. Definitely not warm!
Nice hotel with clean room and nice staff. Easy to book through the Hilton app. Location is easy to get to but the parking slightly confusing if you are looking for a Hilton labeled parking ramp. Valet parking available for $24. Only downside is hearing the train go off throughout the night and I'm pretty sure I heard the guest above or next to my room use the bathroom. Overall it was a nice stay for the night.
The bar was overlooking a mediocre city that I grew up in, though the business itself was very clean and modern. Service was very polite, conversational, and informative. Dinner was delicious though higher priced. Drinks were excellent.
Attended the Pretty Princess Ball in the Grand Ballroom. We had to walk through the lobby of the hotel to get there. The Hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful, held all our doors and made sure we found our destination on time.
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times for various conferences and always have had a wonderful experience, with friendly staff, clean rooms, and great amenities.
However, I had booked a room as part of attending a conference. The day of the conference I was pretty ill and was given a bronchitis diagnosis from my doctor and told not to attend. I called to cancel my reservation, and all they could do was follow their "standard" policy, which is to charge me for the full night. I can't believe this is the level of flexibility they have with someone who is ill and has stayed at their location multiple times. I will see if I can find someplace else to stay next year for the conferences that I attend in Cedar Rapids.

I'll start off with the Pros:
-Extremely friendly and helpful staff
-Warm chocolate chip cookie at check in (and pretty much whenever you politely ask for one)
-Super clean
- Very nice pool area with comfy area to sit at. Handicap accommodating
-Comfortable room
Now the Cons:
- You have to pay for parking- $12.00 a day or 0.75/ hour
- NO free breakfast
