Not happy with the view at firstsaw only buildings not Times Square. We were pleasantly surprised just how quiet it was outside, not the hustle and bustle of Times Square - turned out to be a good view after all!!!!! Furniture was dated but bed was most wonderfulpillows and duvet. Bar sink was stopped up and never was fixed after being reported. They may have tried but it wasn't fixed. I would stay there again. Super location!
Fantastic hotel. Service was extraordinary. Room was huge. Clean and well maintained. Excellent location! You won't be disappointed staying here.
Suite was big enough for us. Rooms and bathroom were clean and maintained. Beds are comfortable. Staff is nice and helpful. The place is at the best, right in the middle of times square. We enjoyed our stay there.
Really enjoyed our stay. Yes it was a noisy place but what do you expect it's on Times Square. Ear plugs and a sleep mask are needed.
Ideally situated and didn't need to get two rooms because it had a fold out bed.
If I could make a suggestion it would be to get an area where people waiting to leave could relax or play arcade games. Perhaps also drop bar prices and people may spend more.
The view out of my high floor room was amazing. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Times square is right outside the door of this hotel so we were able to walk around the shops and street vendors and then drop things off at the hotel as we went. The Subway is also right outside the hotel. We were also able to drop our luggage off before check in the day we arrived and they held it for us until late the night we left so we didn't have to carry our luggage around the final day after checkout. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy times square or explore manhattan by subway.
Me and my mom stayed there when we went to NY for our birthdays and had the best time. The concierge was so funny and very helpful with telling us which subways to take and a particular play not to see. The gentleman at the front desk gave us excellent restaurant recommendations while we were there. The rooms were awesome! It was great because if my mom wanted to sleep I could go into the living room area and watch tv. My mom had trouble figuring out the shower so if you stay and are having trouble like my mom did the lever on the bottom that goes back and forth controls the pressure, and the shower knob that turns the water on has three prongs on it. The longest of the three prongs is what controls the temperature. So you just have it pointing on the temperature Hot/Cold or in between Hot/Cold to control temperature. From reading some other reviews it looked like people had that issue so maybe if the hotel had a little lamented card saying how to use shower knob so people aren’t thinking it’s the hotels faulty showers when it’s just improper usage. We were both so incredibly thrilled with our stay there. Everyone that we came across that worked there went out of their way to help us. Also, you can’t beat the location and spacious room. Thanks you guys! It was our first time to NY and you made an a awesome and memorable part of our trip.
If you are looking for a hotel in times square, this is an excellent choice. Located right in the heart of times square, you'll be right in the midst of everything, although this means that if you have an outward facing room, you will want to bring a sleeping mask and earplugs. The rooms are very nice, although the beds could be a bit more comfortable, and the pillows seem to have seen better days
It was our first time in NYC and we were planning to stay in jersey but got a great deal on this place and decided to go here instead. I'm so glad we didn't stay in jersey. The location of this place can't be beat. Its right in the heart of times square. Had everything we needed except for breakfast which was fine because there were places where you could eat all over the place ( I suggest Best Bagels and Coffee, its awesome). The hotel itself is really nice as well. We were five people and the room had pleanty of space and the two doors to the washroom is a nice touch as well. All in all great stay. We will be back.
You absolutely cannot beat the location. This is a great Hotel but the last remodel is starting to show its age. The staff is very very nice. Beware of the morning Buffet. If you are not a Hilton gold or elite member, the typical Hilton Buffet will cost you $33 a person. Save your money and go next door and get an Egg McMuffin.
This hotel had a great view from the top floors, nice modern lobby, a great location, and it was a hit or miss with the staff. Things went downhill when we checked in. It took us about a half an hour to check in. We got free cookies, but it was still a pain checking in. Our room, 3112, had dated furniture, carpet, and bathroom fixtures. Someone in our group opened a cabinet door on the TV stand and the top hinge fell off. Staff was quick to fix it, but they were not quick about getting an extra towel. We were a group of five, in a room with a capacity of six, but there were only four towels. It took over an hour to get the extra towel. The shower was also bad in our room. It leaked and there was a stiff chain at the bottom of the drain, making it hard to open and close. Despite these things, it wasn't a horrible four-night stay and there were some good things about this hotel that I mentioned above, bringing this up to a two star.
The hotel is located in northern end of Times Square. There was a short line to check in but was moving fairly quickly. Received a warm cookie after I got my room key. Digital key was not available at this location. The harbor view room on the 38th floor offered nice views towards the Hudson River and limited view of Times Square right below. The room was small but comfy and clean. There's a desk, safe, ironing board, coffee machine. TV service included several HBO channels.
I booked this for my 6 year wedding anniversary. It was our first night out without the kids so it was a big deal for us. I was so disappointed with my stay. Everything was great up until the night of check in. The hot water went out and fast forward to the next morning, the hot water was still out. We were never notified of the issue. I've stayed at other hotels that if they've had some time of issue, an associate or even an automated message would notify us by phone. Anyway, when I called, I was told that it would be back shortly but it was not. Not being able to shower was horrible. We had to boil hot water in the coffee machine to wash our faces and brush our teeth because the water was extremely cold. I feel like it ruined our special night.
I was recently in NYC for our honeymoon and enjoyed our stay. Staff was real nice, Rhonda was really helpful she was able to check us in early and got us a room with a great view of times square! The hotel is literally right on times square and we were able to walk to almost anything pretty quickly. definitely recommend this hotel.
If travelling to New York and you want to stay in a beautiful boutique hotel which is right in the centre of Times Square then you cannot go past Casablanca. The rooms are fantastic, the staff are so helpful and friendly and it is great value considering the location. And the all inclusive continental breakfast and wine / cheese tastings are an added bonus. A special mention for Gene, one of the doormen. Very helpful and a very nice guy. My daughter and I enjoyed our 9 night stay at Casablanca and look forward to returning in the not too distant future.
Very happy with my stay at Doubletree. Came down to enjoy a few nights in new york. Was a simple fast check in revived a wonderful cookie and a beautiful clean room. Did not encounter any issues during my stay and the staff was very kind. Located right in the middle of time square made going to a play as well as shopping simple. Will be staying here for sure next time I come to visit!
