Great location. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. The dwellings are small but for an older NYC hotel, that is to be expected. The only downside is the noise from outside. I know that it's the city and of course one will always hear some level of traffic but I felt like this was probably the noisiest NYC hotel I've ever stayed in, at 1am I finally got up and found my headphones to drown it out. I'm sure it's the fact of this being an older building, the insulation and such just isn't the same as one built in the last 20 years. Part of the appeal is that it's an iconic building (Marilyn Monroe and all that), alas, it's charm is also it's downfall. I'm not sure I'd stay here again but I do not regret my stay.

I stayed overnight with my boyfriend at this hotel. The room was small, which was to be expected. It was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. However, the heat in the room didn't seem to work unless it was pushed up to almost 80 degrees. Despite the issue with the heat, the hot water worked perfectly. We also had an issue with the television in our room. Half of the screens coloring was tinted grey. Lastly, the lobby had an overpowering smell that smelt like somebody had sprayed 20 bottles of cologne all around which was pretty irritating. I would not let these things discourage you from using this hotel, as the staff was very helpful and kind. I would just keep in mind that your stay may not be perfect. Overall, I would return to this hotel again.

Great location for this hotel with affordable prices. All the staff were friendly and the front desk was exceptionally accommodating.
We got to our room and much like every hotel budget room it was small. Well we kind of expected that so no biggie. The room we got was right next to the elevators. Ugh this is obnoxious. You can hear everything, especially what sounded like a bachelorette party getting off the elevators at 2am. Also throughout the night it sounded like we had a rat in our heater vent. It was constant scratching for about 2 minutes, would subside for about 15min and start back up. I looked for the source with a flashlight and was not able to locate it. It kept us up all night that first night.
I spoke with the front desk and they were very understanding and accommodating. They upgraded us free of charge however we were still next to elevator but on the upper floors it wasn't bad at all. Not as much traffic.
Overall we had a great time and the room we got in the end was well worth our time. Staff was friendly and seemed to be well maintained. I would recommend this place and I would stay here again!response / report this review -

The Lexington is in a nice old building with a vintage Hollywood vibe. Some of the rooms are "compact" with tiny bathrooms, but that's to be expected in NYC. If you're staying for more than a couple of nights, you may want to consider a bigger room. It's important to note that the building has a quiet side and a loud side, depending on the location of your room. This was my second stay here and I was definitely on the loud side this time. Ambulance sirens and car horns honking late on Sunday night until around 3AM Monday morning. Then it started back up again at 6AM. For your convenience, the hotel provides earplugs, which you will find in the nightstand drawer. If you have smallish ears like I do, they won't fit, so BYOE (bring your own earplugs) just in case. However, I'm a very light sleeper, so the noise may not even be an issue for some people. Fortunately, I always travel with a white noise machine. In addition to that, I changed the room's default fan setting from 'auto' to 'high' so it ran all night, which helped mask the city noise a little bit. But you know what they say about New York—It's the city that never sleeps. I sure didn't. Next time I'll be sure to ask for a room on the quiet side.

Staff are super friendly and great at what they do. Lounge here is awesome with a small jazz band playing live at weekends as you come in. Drinks are a bit pricey at the bar but as expected for hotels in midtown Manhattan. Really enjoyed a comfortable stay here and heard very little outside noise when sleeping at night.

Excellent hotel, close to all attractions and central for sightseeing. The hotel is clean and staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. The 'Cozy Queen' room was a little small but adequate for a four night stay. There is no tea/coffee making facility in the room but this was available in the reception area as was iced water or bottles of water upon request. The bed was very comfy. Overall this was an excellent choice and would stay here again.

Good location. Rooms are a little bit small, worn and dusty (at least for the value and Marriott standards), but good enough to crash for a couple of nights. Had a situation where I went to ask for a bottle of sparkling water (which says in the welcome documentation that is available as part of the fees they charge you), but the concegiere just suggested me to go to the Starbucks next door when asked at the front desk they pointed me to a water fountain, but no bottles were available. When I asked again to other employee at the Elite Members front desk, she said they have bottles of still water for the Elite members. She gave me one, I asked for a second bottle and she gave it to me not in the best attitude. Just a small thing, but enough to make us feel a little uncomfortablein a hotel of this category I dont think is necessary be showing off you Platinum credentials to get a second bottle of water.

This is a great Marriott location in a very convenient spot of city, and if you hit it on the right day you can get a great price for the room (close to $100). Very nice up to date accommodations, nice bar and breakfast area, some nice amenities, including free water, lemonade, cookies and a welcome drink from the bar. They also have a happy hour reception in the evening.

Small, but nice room axomofations. Nice, deep bath tub for soaking after a long day of touring the city. Bed is comfortable. Air conditioner works well and is not too loud. City street noise is at a minimum and they brew a pretty good cup of free coffee! Bottled water is commentary too.

Very nice hotel with an excellent location. Easy walking to Grand Central Station, Times Square, and tons of great food options. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. Only small complaint was the towel warmer in the bathroom was kind of in the way.

Hotel is only a few blocks from Grand central making it super convenient. The feels a bit small but are well taken care of. Service from the bellhop was very good. Service at the bar could be a bit better. Front desk for an elite member wasn't exactly what we expected, courteous but not elite member level.

My visits have been with my Daughter and a family friend, and we have loved it The Hotel is in a great location, its quite Central within walking distance you have Macy,s which is a must if you like shopping: and the Statue of Liberty, Madison Square Garden, and Penn Station just on the corner of the hotel.. The Hotel its self is lovely, it is Art Deco in design, the rooms that we have had have all been of a good size and very comfortable. the staff we found to be very helpfull and friendly, I could go on and on but I hope this goes some way in helping you with your choices ENJOY,,,,

The Lexington is a solid hotel with adequate rooms and a convenient location. If you're not from NYC, you may find the rooms to be small, but they are well kept and cozy, with free Coffee and bottled water in the lobby. There is a Starbucks and Raffles Bistro accessible from the hotel lobby, and it's only a few blocks from 5th avenue and Grand Central Station. Centrally located, we found it a perfect spot with plenty of food in the area and subway lines within a few blocks walk. We spent a weekend here. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt. No complaints!

This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.Just stepping out of my car I was immediately greeted and welcomed into the hotel. Upon check in though the person who was helping us had a very very strong accent making it hard to understand but other than that check in was a breeze and we had checked in 2 hours without any issues. They also gave our daughter an activity back pack which she enjoyed during our entire visit. The bell men were exceptional and were happy to guide us to all the right directions and we were always greeted by our names! Will definitely look into OMANI Hotels for future travels
