Great visit on December 17 2017 - light crowd due to season / hurricane. Still recovering from hurricane but still awesome. Staff was excellent - it's great how close you can get to and observe these fantastic creatures! Great detail and engagement from all the staff.

One of the greatest experience anyone young or old can imagine. Very informative and polite staff you can find in grassy key. I recommend this as the greatest hot spots when visiting the fabulous Florida keys.

I have been here twice in the past 10 years and I really love the dolphin research center. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the dolphins and other sea animals are well cared for and happy. Most of the dolphins cannot safely return to the wild and so this is their new home. They are not forced to perform , in fact they seem so happy to be playing and interacting with their trainers. Even when there are no scheduled programs its nice to sit in the shade and watch the dolphins swim and play with their friends , and they like to watch you as well and frequently come to the surface to check you out or talk to you. I look forward to coming back in the future and contributing to the care of this majestic and intelligent mammals.

You can get a good education in a very fun way by visiting the dolphins and the humans here as well. It took us about 3 hours to go through, but you can see it on your own time table. Choose a more personal encounter if you wish, depending on how much you want to spend. Gift shop as well.

Wonderful place! Always something to do or see. We couldn't afford the swimming or meeting the dolphins but that was just fine. All dolphins are interactive with guest. It's an all day pass once you pay so if you need a break you could come back later. Staff was excellent and even while working they took time to answer questions. Spent around four hours watching different training sessions because there is always something going on. Well worth the $22.

Research my ass. Killing and abusing dolphins for profit is the real description of these kind of places. Google and learn about the process of catching and maintaining these lovely creatures people! You will never want to visit them again!

We visited on a rainy Wednesday morning and had the place to ourselves. We really enjoyed watching one of the trainers work with three dolphins. When we paid our admission the ladies at the front desk promised that announcements would be made announcing activities. (They don't hand out maps or schedules.Which makes sense since they don't want stray paper in the water.) we, however, neverheard any announcements and after it started to downpour we opted to leave instead of hanging out in the gift hop. I think it would have been too crowded on a nice sunny day for our toddler to stay interested and engaged.

I love the dolphin research center so much its a great family oriented place ❤it has wonderful sweet dolphins a splash area for people to rinse off after a program and many more animals to see. It's great to go into the dolphin theater and listen to the educators tell you more about what they do and what it's all about

Loved this place! Plenty of "shows" where you can learn about the dolphins and seals as well as see some of the research they do and learn a ton about these amazing creatures. A lot of benches in front of different parts of the cover so you can visit the dolphins who seem very happy and healthy there. I did the swimming with the dolphins experience which was great and it's a non-profit so I don't mind paying so much for it.

Beautiful facility very easy to see how passionate the staff are about this program. This is a way of life for the people that work here and it is easy to see it's not just their job it's their Passion. The prices are right in line with such a nice facility, and it is not cheap to take care of these wonderful creatures. These folks aren't in this to get rich, they do this out of love and compassion.
