Real nice place, nice employees, pretty good breakfast for being included in stay, but they were out of milk for my cereal. The rooms and hallways were clean compared to my reviews I read, only bad thing, you could tell upstairs didn't believe in shower curtains for our room had a horribly strong odor of mold. (Fortunately after 45 minutes your nose a just and you except your young adult broke life and just live on with the mold for the one night I was there). The mold is probably the only reason for 3 stars for my room was clean. Towels, bed sheets floors and all.
Hole in the ceiling. Dripping all night. Middle of the bed was folded in the middle. Several tv stations not working. Pillow cases had yellow stains. Coffee pot not working. I could go on, but you get the picture.
COCKROACHES!!!! Place was disgusting. Room smelled like cigarettes, there was an empty skoal can and change on the floor (like the floor wasn’t vacuumed). The one hallway was blocked off by a sheet, like a bed sheet. The deadbolt to the door didn’t work, was scared all night long. Only staying for a quick night while traveling but i barely slept and got out as soon as possible. They wouldn’t refund me when left and had all my things packed up after seeing the roaches. Disgusting do not stay here
I personally would not like to give it any stars. It is not keep up. Shower tile were falling off. Pool is shared between two hotels. Never enough towels in pool or in room. The mattress was still in original plastic with sheets over it. Do not recommend. Not worth spending money here for room.
I have left 6 messages for the general manager as well as emails. He has not returned one call. When I spoke to a desk agent a month ago he said that he never returns calls, boy was he right! As a former hospitality executive this is not acceptable. We booked a room for one of our employees for the summer, they increased the price after three months of staying and have charged for tax when he was there for almost 4 months. The previous general manager was awesome! We have had our employee stay here for years and have never had a problem. It is a shame that the new general manager does not possess hospitality skills especially when he is in the business. Extremely disappointed!!
This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Smells so bad everywhere you walk. Rooms look like a basement with plastic on the beds that are not comfortable. There were bugs in the room. Even the outlits don't work. Worst hotel ever. I recommend that you don't stay there. Cheep price but a terrible hotel. Period..
It's clean and cheap, but the property itself is not overly well-maintained. They recently replaced the carpet and mattresses. The staff is friendly. The location is close to shopping and fast food. There is a pool shared with the Comfort Inn next door.
This is my first time ever writing a review. The only reason I'm doing so, is to warn other people from stepping foot into this place. Here are a few reasons: 1. The rooms were absolutely disgusting, i.e. smells bad, dirty carpets, cracking walls and wallpaper, cigarette butts all over the balcony, moldy bathrooms with cracks and holes in the shower stall, hair in the bathtub, air conditioner didn't work, every channel on the T.V. was fuzzy.
2. The service was just as bad as the condition of the hotel. Upon arrival they had our block of rooms mixed up. The ended up over charging one person in our group, kept the ID of another person in our group, couldn't split the rooms up for billing, and the staff was about as friendly as a rabid raccoon.
3. The price for one night was $169.00. Granted it was a game weekend but to charge someone $169.00 a night to stay in a roach motel is shameful. This price included a continental breakfast which upon one look at the spread, will make you reconsider instantly and head across the street to the Bob Evans.
The only reason this place should still even be standing is to film horror movies in it that require a scary location. Otherwise, it needs to be demolished. I'm thinking of calling Days Inn Corporate office and seeing if they would be willing to comp my Hepatitis shot that I went and got after my stay.
Desk attendant, didn't catch his name, helped us out a lot by holding our bags for us while we were at the UofM game. We took the train in and didn't have a place to keep them. Glad he was able to help. Rooms were sub part quality but to be expected for the price. I'd stay again, but probably wouldn't be my #1 pick
Honestly the worst place you could ever decide to stay at. This might be the place for you if you love bugs crawling around all night, horrible workers, and having to use a pool that's not even part of Days Inn. The employees were very inconsiderate and stuck up. Tried to over charge us after we payed already. Would not recommend to anyone absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. Shame on this company and shame on management. If I could I'd take that 1 star rating away, they don't deserve it.
Filthy breakfast area, burn holes in the sheets and blankets ,( in a non smoking room) front desk lady was rude, bed felt like a cement slab. Breakfast selection was awful. When staff was notified about conditions, no attempt to try and get a satisfied customer was made. Don't go here unless you want to throw away money and get no sleep
The whole hotel smelled like weed. They were out of coffee, waffle mix, and other breakfast items in the morning. There wasn't any soap in the room. The double bed room was pretty big, though. And there was a pullout couch. Some rooms have a balcony or walkout patio. There is a pool and hot tub.
We were there March 3-10, 2017. There was a wind storm that knocked power out for 3 of those days. While we know the hotel has no control over acts of nature, they barely accommodated us for the inconvenience. There is a sign in the room that says customer satisfaction and comfort is their number 1 priority. What a joke! When my husband asked them about anything, their response was "you can just leave now." Excuse me? We were PAYING CUSTOMERS. We would have gone to another hotel but 1) our room was paid for already for the week, and 2) almost all surrounding hotels were booked solid from accommodating locals who lost power. They refused to set out the Continental breakfast. Do you really need power to set out danishes and donuts? One of the reasons the hotel was chosen was so we didn't have to worry about breakfast. We had 2 small children with us and that period of time was cold. They only gave us 1 extra blanket for them. The entire stay was a horrible experience, for their lack of empathy and accommodations for paying customers. Too bad because we're in Ann Arbor a lot, visiting family. We won't be staying there again.
I'll also add that first they tried to put us in Siberia the very very last room on the first floor. The TV didn't work properly and something I can't remember didn't work so they DID move us after the first night. But that was as far as we got with any hospitality whatsoever.
Was pretty decent. The hot tub was nice. Only con I noticed was one pop machine wasn't stocked correctly, but more the vending company's issue rather than the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and I had no issues. So, overall it was a good stay
