I think it's one of the best motels in the Ann Arbor area we go there a lot whenever I have to go to University of Michigan hospital we usually check in and spend the night before the night after we've spent time there when I've had surgery they're very courteous easy to get along with and the price is right they're clean and well-kept rooms and we've never been unhappy yet thank you so much for helping us

They are always very accommodating to us when we visit our grandson during surgery, at a very affordable rate!! And free breakfast with good coffee.the rooms are nice and easily fit our family of 5.

The hotel was great very quiet and the front desk staff was awesome as well as all the other staff. The price was very resonable considering the hotels in the same parking lot was twice the price. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything was pleasant, besides the fact that the room want clean when we were supposed to check in. We switched rooms, though, so it didn't ruin our schedule.

Room was functional, and even though near an elevator was still relatively quiet. Breakfast was ok, the waffles were probably the best thing, but the lack of variety was a little disappointing (most of the options were grains like cereal, waffles, danish so no eggs, yogurt, meat options). But the price was good and it serves it's purpose as a rest stop.

I was in town because a family member was having a surgical procedure performed at the U of M hospital and I had booked a room at Microtel in advance. The room and bath room were clean, but I ended up spending most of the night in the hospital, so I didn't really get a chance to stay there. For the remainder of my stay, through the hospital, I was able to book a room at the Holiday Inn next door, which I really liked. Not sure if the hospital can book a room for you at Microtel, but when they booked it for me at the Holiday Inn, they were able to get me a rate that was $20 less than Microtel. Again, the hospital only makes these reservations at cheaper rates for family of patients at the hospital. With out the hospitals better rate, Microtel was less expensive than the Holiday Inn. Overal, Microtel was nice enough and clean enough for the price.

I just left the hotel. I let them know that I found a used band aid stuck to my 4 year-old's blanket, as I was tucking her in. This suggests that they don't wash their blankets, otherwise a used band aid wouldn't have been stuck to the blanket. I let them know and the clerk asked if I had informed the front desk when I made the discovery. A good question, but no I didn't let them know because their front desk clerk wasn't very helpful at check in, no smile, no greeting (something that is common in most hotels where I've stayed). Just a, "can I help you (more of a comment than question)." The same attitude from the morning clerk. He never even apologized for the incident.

My father was in the ICU at the hospital on campus and the hotel was able to get us in at 2/3 of the original cost that night! My mom and I were a little nervous about how cheap it was! We were pleasantly surprised to enter to a clean lobby and a nice staff. The outside looked appealing and with great curb appeal! The room was a bit small but definitely what you pay for. It had a fridge and microwave and it was clean! The bed was not Super but do able! You also have free breakfast in the morning! My only recommendation is ask for another blanket at night!

The price is cheap, or I would say reasonable. The room is clean and spacious. It has all necessary items

Very clean rooms, mostly friendly service with the exception of one girl who complained during checkout about how horrible her job was and her bosses. Breakfast was nice, area was cleaned in a timely manner and stocked even though it was busy.
They give a discount if you have family in the hospital too.response / report this review -

This is such a perfect place to stay. Super friendly staff. Clean room, clean hallways, nice lobby area. Nothing fancy for breakfast, if you want that, go to any of the nearby restaurants. No pool, hot tub, fitness room. It is less expensive that the other nearby places to stay except perhaps Red Roof Inn but it is much nicer than RRI.
This place is comfortable but clearly not designed for someone who wants to hang out in their room. This is just a place to change your clothes, shower, watch TV in bed. Rooms are kinda small but clean and comfortable. Ours had a fridge and microwave too but I don't know if that is standard. Just a couple minutes to walk to a close grocery (Busch's) store. No complaints at all. Everything was great. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need. Very strong wifi, great breakfast too. Great lit parking area and staff. Will definitely stay again. Price was way below what you expect for a motel of this quality. All in all just a great place to stay, short or long term.
