I had to check in here at 3am and Mike was wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean but a little weird. For instance there was no suitcase stand and only two small drawers. The television was also facing away from the bed but I didn't use it, it might have been able to swing out. The bathroom and sink area were very Spartan but clean. The couch didn't look inviting at all to sit in but it looked very hip while it held my clothes and shopping bags. Wish they had the breakfast bar many Courtyards do. Since you have to pay for breakfast anyway at Courtyards I'd rather pay for the fresh, eclectic selection of a breakfast bar. I appreciated the Starbucks but they weren't open all day and it would have been nice if they offered regular coffee and infused water in the lobby like many Courtyards.

Are use this property recently to spend the night, and also conduct meetings. I found the property easy to find, the GPS and easy to spot from the road. The staff is very friendly from the back of staff, to the desk personnel, to the people you operate the bistro. The property is very well-maintained. The food in the bistro is very well-made. I would definitely use this property again.

I had my doubts about staying at this Courtyard simply because we just checked out of the VIP Suite at the Cleveland Grand Hyatt. What an outstanding surprise! This hotel was spotless, beautifully decorated and had an amazingly courteous staff who went out of their way to make us feel right at home. Our room was immaculate and exactly what Courtyard by Marriott advertises. Very nice television with tons of channels, functional work area where I got a ton of work done and all of the furniture was more than comfortable. Way to go Courtyard! We'll be back!

NO MICROWAVE - I refuse to give any hotel anything better than 2 stars if the room costs over $100. Additionally, the Bistro/Bar was out of a lot of the food and ran out of most domestic beer. Stay at the Holiday Inn down the road. Fitness room had a couple of treadmills, and a StairMaster. Nothing to write home about. The rooms were unusually dark, when you enter the room and flip on the light switch you have to meander in the dark to find a light switch next to the bed which is in an odd place, so is the one near the TV (because they don't look like light switches). The one positive was that the AC/Heat was easier to use than most other hotels.

I spent two weeks at the hotel and can't say enough positive things about the people and place. Eli in the coffee shop had a joke for us every morning. There was a group of us and he remembered everyone's name and always had a smile on his face. I highly recommend this place.

The room was very nice. A queen size bed and a pull out couch, since we had 3 people. Nice cafe in the lobby with friendly service.

The Courtyard by Marriott in Independence Ohio is an amazing Hotel! I love that is centrally located to Downtown Cleveland and surrounding attractions. The hotel itself is very modern with plenty of amenities inside. The staff is very friendly and attentive. My last day there I had the romance experience package. Really enjoyed my stay there I will definitely go back!

Convenient to downtown. In a nice area with many restaurants. Clean, updated rooms. Comfy bed. Private setting. Accommodating, friendly staff. Would definitely stay here if in area.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in independence for a friends wedding. The entrance of the hotel is so nice the staffed was very accommodating. We needed a upgrade at the last moment and they helped us with no problems. The rooms are nice and clean and updated.

I loved this hotel. Clean rooms, comfy beds, beautiful indoor pool, nice exercise room, pretty showers. There should be a mirror in the bedroom though.

Great Hotel! All the staff were so friendly and kind! Everything was very clean. We had family in town and stayed for four days while going out in Cleveland, and everyone had a great time! The kids loved the pool. The employees went above and beyond to accommodate us during our staythank you (especially Zoran)!

I was denied my cash deposit because the room smelled like smoke. I've been staying at Marriott for 10 plus yrs. So I know better than to even burn a thread off of a shirt in a Marriott hotel. The general manager refused to go and double check. "I'm confident in my staff. " she said. Long story short. I was robbed for my hundred dollar deposit and was threaten to have the police called on me. The west side of Atlanta in me almost came out but I spared her for the sake of me having somewhere else to be. Very bad vibe from the check in and it only got worse on check out. Courtyard Marriott of Independence will never be able to rob me. They didn't even have a gun and got in my pocket. Shame on you Miss Laura.

Great room. The staff was very friendly and always available. I was there for a party and all the guests had a great experience. The pool was clean.
