Great family friendly restaurant with people friendly staff and a home like atmosphere! My all time favorite place to grab a bite to eat!!

Classic family owned corner bar but nicely run, fairly clean and very friendly staff. Definitely a locals favorite. Awesome turkey pretzal club sandwich & decent offering of local brews.
Bad news, it just burnt down. Being such a local icon, we're all sure they will rebuild. From what I hear the catering is still running.
Best wishes to our friends at the corner bar.

The hot dogs, the root beer. Perfect.
Me and my boys (friend boys not offspring boys) came here after a 24 mile hiking trip, it was grueling but our minds were set on chili dogs and root beer, so we made it through. When we arrived we were limping and it hurt to even walk there, but we sat down. And we ordered. We cared not for moderation, we ordered whatever our hearts desired, And you know What? It was everything we dreamed of, everything we had hoped for on that long trail.

This is a nice little bar and restaurant with friendly service and awsome chili dogs. If you are feeling brave you can try to get your name on the wall, all you have to do is eat 12sounds easy right? Some nights of the week it gets busy and you may be standing in line a while, so choose wisely!

True gem of a place. Very good food, service, etc. I was really pleased by the quality and level of service received. I had the chili dog plate and it was great. Highly recommend it. Overall, it was a great bar and great restaurant. It also is kid/family friendly. Overall, there was not one bad thing about it. Highly recommend!

Great beer, well known Hot Dogs, Fried Vegies and delicious Artichoke Dip. Bartenders are very friendly and have great conversations about the town of Rockford. All in all great and beautiful place to grab a drink and food.

I rate this place five stars for tradition and atmosphere. My dad took me to the Corner for dogs and I've taken my son to the Corner for the same dogs.in a few years, my boy will take his kids to the Corner for a dog :) Beautiful downtown Rockford wouldn't be the same without the Corner Bar.

The Corner Bar is one of our favorite places to eat when we are in Rockford! Great location right in the heart of the downtown shopping district. Plenty of seating available. Wide selection of craft beer available on tap. Excellent menu - typical american style menu with pub food. Their specialty is hot dogs and they claim to be the Hot Dog Capital of Michigan. The hot dog menu is very good and their hot dogs are excellent. I have only ever eaten hot dogs when I have been there since that's their specialty and their claim to fame. Take advantage of the option to upgrade your order to full beef hot dogs, it's worth it! Free parking around the block behind the building in the city parking lot and street-side parking available out front along the main street. The front entrance is a bit narrow, but I believe it is handicap accessible. Side entrance is not handicap accessible - small set of steps to get in from the side. Definitely family friendly (they do offer a kids menu). We have taken our kids there with us and they have enjoyed it. There is also a walk up window out front where you can order from the sidewalk.

We arrived 5 minutes before they opened, but they got us in and fed super fast. Staff was friendly and very few people during lunch. They did offer a military discount when I came in.
