Small thai joint off of the side streets of downtown Birmingham. Parking can be a problem in busy times, might have to walk from a couple blocks. You will most likely have to pay for parking as well.
The inside is cozy and has nice booths and tables. The atmosphere is quiet, with a nice ambience and attention to Asian culture.
Service was excellent, and we got our bill promptly which let us enjoy our time talking.
Food selection is very good, with many different choices from standard pad Thai to classic Thai entrees. Also allow the choice of many different meats and seafood to accompany the dishes.
Price was great for the amount of food received. Will definitely be returning. They also allow for carryout.
Great place for Thai food. Nice cozy setting and highly recommend the basil fried rice and the curry fried rice. If you ask for extra hotyou've been warned.
Delicious fare, friendly staff, affordable and cozy!
The food here is a very americanized Thai cuisine, complete with dishes featuring WAY too much sauce (Pad Se-euw, peanut noodles). The crab wontons were almost entirely cream cheese, no crab to be seen or tasted.
Solid food great service. Keep up the good work
Good food with limited ambience. Located in nice place in downtown area. Parking is not readily available.
Great food and pricing! The Sy's Mussels were just $12.xx for 13 of them all delicious. Minus one star for huge rip in the last booth's seat and the server was kind of rough and slammed everything down onto the table.
Try there crab cheese wonton with berry sauce.. just simply too good.
They sauce is sweet obvi. But I m sure u ll enjoy till the last bit. I also had the Thai curry , didn't really like that. Though the chicken fried rice was pretty good
My favorite place to eat in birmingham. The food is delicious and affordable. Plus the service is friendly and fast. I would give 10 stars if i could.
This place is great, but be aware that lunch time can get busy and you CAN wait up to 25 minutes. And at that point, the spice levels vary by the cook. I would go more mild than hot to be on the safe side. And trust me, I love hot food. Other than that, fantastic place! Highly suggest trying it :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE THEIR FOOD. One of the best Thai food I have tasted and I MUST MUST recommend their chicken Pad Thai. The sauce is sweet, but not too sweet. It's so mouth watering! The people there are so friendly as well!! They provide great customer service :) Definitely a must go to!!!!
Great Thai food and is the original Sy Thai (and is better than the one in Troy). My favorite items are the Chicken Pad Thai, Pad Prik with Shrimp, the Crab Rangoon (not sure if that is what they are called but they are perfectly crispy and the duck sauce that comes with them is great), the fried shrimp appetizer is great too (dough fried shrimp). The service here is great, but I really wish they would make the place bigger because if it gets busy it will take a while to get you a seat.
