Had a very tasty lunch and a couple of strong cocktails. Good food, good waitress. One star off because we had to search for someone to seat us.
Great food, a little on the up price for some of it, other items were a little interesting but not of my taste preference. I would visit again as I did thoroughly enjoy my food and the service.
We had dinner and have been to two wedding receptions here as well. Good management to work with when planning an event and reasonable pricing for the catering as well. Meals here are good and affordable and has participated with Groupon for even better meal deals. Then to top it off the model trains that keep traveling around with the real ones passing by makes for very nice dining atmosphere.
Highly recommend this restaurant. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The service was quick. I had the French dip sandwich, a small bowl of chowder and two beers for $22. It was money well spent.
Wonderful! The restaurant was busy but conversation was easy, not a lot of background noise. Our server was perfect, timely, helpful, and gave great suggestions for our dinners. Her name is Ginger. We each chose the prime rib special, and it was perfectly cooked. Ate it ALL!
Thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
We're coming back!
This was a wonderful restaurant. The food was incredible, and the service was impeccable. I wish they had a little better dessert menu, but i had a great experience here.
Decent waiter. Buffet is a joke and they force you to order from it. Which would be fine if you like food half as good as golden corral at twice the cost.
My mistake will try again when it's not buffet.
Let's start from the end, I am definitely going back. We had a reservation for 6.30 pm on Thursday. Not a busy night usually. However, we waited over an hour for our food to come, The kitchen didn't functioned this night.
Server was VERY professional, she did great to make sure we are ok and got us some appetizers. After food came we were happy with the food and the dishes size.
At the end, manager cut desserts other part of the bill, and lower the bill by almost 20%.
Again, I would go back just for the effort they all put for us.
It took 3 times longer than the hostess told us it would to be seated. That isn't the issue, things happen. Once we were seated, it took 15 minutes to even get a glass of water. The breadsticks were bland (and weren't given to us until 35 minutes after we were seated). They were out of soup. My girlfriend's chicken was bland. My "Reuben" was bland. I asked for mustard when we were brought our food, knowing full well it wouldn't be delivered. It wasn't. We couldn't get out fast enough. I had my coat on before the check came.
I could understand if the restaurant was packed, but it wasn't particularly busy. People have off-nights as well. But the food wasn't good enough to convince me to come back.
This is the first review I have ever gone out of my way to write. Let that speak for itself.
The food was cooked to perfection. My "medium" burger was actually medium. Waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. My glass was never left empty (pet peeve). Prices were not unreasonable ($50.00 for two of us). Nice atmosphere.
We went for their overpriced Easter dinner. The selection was underwhelming: dry turkey, lumpy gravy, mostaccioli that you'd get in a school cafeteria, lukewarm home fries, sad lasagna, chicken that wasn't half bad, macaroni and cheese that was congealed by the time I sat down, green beans and woefully undercooked baby carrots, and some sort of roast beef that was too rare and the carver was serving shavings off of. My mom made a reservation for six people because she was not sure if my kids would be joining us as my ex has frequently had to travel at the last minute. At any rate our party of six became a party of four which we told them as soon as we arrived. The host said "that's ok" and proceeded to seat us. We got the bill after our paltry dessert of bananas foster in ice cream soup and whatever dessert morsels we could find (I won't even acknowledge the disgusting "chocolate" fountain). They charged us half the price of the two people who were not even there. For four people we were charged $127.15. Plus the recommended $23 tip to have plates removed and a refill of our tea and soda. Never. Again.
We live by Jackson, Mich and wound up coming here for the first time a couple months ago. We have been back twice since - great restaurant, very friendly staff, good food, and fair prices. This restaurant has been here for 25 years for a reason.
The service for one was top notch. My food was just ok and the burger my wife had was really tasty. In my conversation with the waiter in the restroom of all places, since it was our first time there ask about our experience. For all the positives I mentioned I would never order what I had again but it wasn't bad enough to send back. He took care of it and gave us dessert when he didn't have to. That itself put the cherry on top and I will be going back to try some other things. Its a little dark in there so not as many photos as I would like.nice place.
