The St. Regis Detroit hotel was a nice stay. The hotel was located just a few miles from midtown which was very convenient. While the hotel wasn't especially fancy it was clean and we'll priced. Also the staff was were all very nice and Gabe a great breakfast recommendation! Overall it was a great stay and would recommend it to everyone!

This is an older, but nice hotel. Rooms are modern with flat screens and amenities. The whole hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly. It's right next to the Q line so getting to the main down town area was easy. The only parking is valet at a cost. But it was still cheaper then parking in a garage over night. This is a nice hotel at a reasonable price.

I don't know about the hotel as I've never stayed there but La Musique, the restaurant, has some really good food. The gumbo is spot on and the catfish poboy is amazing. The servers are friendly though not the fastest service. I'll take slow service for great food. The atmosphere is kind of a jazzy old gin room feel. There's a baby grand piano in middle of the restaurant that plays beautifully. Anytime I'm in town I have to go get a bowl of gumbo!

I stayed 2 nights here while at a conference downtown. The front desk was kind enough to let me check in early on Friday, which I greatly appreciated. Valet is a joke, $20 to park 20 feet from the door. The walls are paper thin, street noise is very loud, my heat never turned warm, had my heat up to 90 but it never warmed up over 65. My shower did not get hot. I lived in a historic house, I understand water traveling a long way but other historical buildings put hot water heaters on each floor or even each room! No working ice makers on floors, which I was not made aware of until I checked two floors and then went to the main floor with my ice bucket. No microwave, no fridge. My ice bucket bag was not switched out. Nothing but a sheet and comforter on the bed, with no heat it's quite chilly in late October. Upon a 15 minute wait at checkout, I find I can't leave my car in the lot even though before checking in I asked if I could leave my car. I had to scramble to find parking and missed my first session at my conference. No, I won't be coming back, nor will I recommend this place to fellow conference attenders.

This review is only for the bar as we did not stay in the hotel. The bar is a really nice choice if you are looking for a drink before a show at the Fisher Theater. We liked the bartender and he made a special drink for me without charging a SPECIAL price. Very nice and easy to get to the theater.

The room was nice by it being my first time reserving here. But the simple fact when I called to make sure that’s all they were taking out of account she told me yes that which were $130.00. Now today I look at my account and it $164.00 that was tooken I was surprised to what’s going on. So I called talked to someone. The lady (Manager) told me I was billed for valet which I asked VALET if I was going to be charged and how much was it he told me NO. So I was completely blindsided. From jump. I won’t be coming here anytime soon. So unprofessional and tacky.

My room #516 was extremely COLD! I had my goddaughter call to the front desk and we were told that 1/2 the hotel was heated and the other 1/2 had no heat! They said all we can do is send you a space heater which didn't heat the room at all, just one little section of the room! When it was time to check out it was others complaining about their COLD rooms. My total including valet parking was $198 for 1 night (that's not cheap) so when the hotel agent ask for payment I said, 'Can you speak to the manager about a discount for the inconvenience we had to endure'. I have osteoarthritis in my knee and arthritis in my back and being in the cold makes the pain worst which I explained to them. When the agent came back he said the Mrg said they can only take the valet amount off which was only $20!! I was very dissatisfied and if I would've had the time, I would've stayed and argued until I got reimbursed ALL or 1/2 of my money. Sorry for such a long response but this is actually what happened on Oct 1, 2017 11am in Detroit MI.

One star is being generous! Homeless approach you at the door asking for money then you see them sitting in the lobby? Had no air conditioning in our room. When just couldn't stand it, called the front desk and they brought us a fan! Now we had a hot room with a loud fan. They never offered to switch rooms or comp! You think paying over $200 a night you'd have air conditioning! No one at the property could do anything about it. The water in the shower hot to cold. Have fun trying to find warm! Wall paper peeling off the wall wood counter comes apart I take many trips to Detroit.. I'll NEVER COME HERE AGAIN.

I visited a family member at Henry Ford and we were recommended this hotel by the staff at the hospital. The front desk associates were nice and accommodated us okay which is the only reason they have any stars. The large lamp in our room didn't have a working bulb, there were crumbs on the floor that were left from the previous people and it had bed bugs! I didn't realize until the next day when I returned home and noticed that both arms were full of itchy bumps. I'd never experienced this before so I did some research and saw a Dr and sure enough that's what it was. Avoid this place. Although the staff is nice and the place has that beautiful ancient feel to it, it's not worth it.

The building and rooms are immaculate. I only wish there would have been more warning about that you must use valet service since there is no other option to park. So basically your room will always be 20+ whatever rate you are quoted. Besides that part, which was only an issue because of my budget, it was a great experience. Staff is friendly especially the evening staff!

The customer service was acceptable, however, the hotel is very old and not worth the price per night. The room was very cold, and due to the hotel being so aged, there was no way to get heat. The heating system was off for the season. They were generous to provide a SMALL space heater, which did absolutely nothing for the size of the room. I did not enjoy my stay, my night was very cold and my stay was below satisfaction. They did provide a small courteous discount, which in my opinion didn't compensate for sleeping through the night shivering. Had I not checked in around 11:45 pm, and knew my way around Detroit I would have went elsewhere

I had read some of the reviews before staying here for one night during a work meeting, and I was pleasantly surprised by the enjoyable stay! Chelsea at the front desk is very warm, welcoming, and prompt. Eric the evening manager was really helpful with directions to local venues and other hotel amenities, and the valet staff was prompt and helpful. The mattress was a little soft, but I still slept really well with their nice sheets and pillows. Overall a reasonable place to rest up before the next day.

I'll keep it short and sweet, by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. This hotel either has heat or air conditioning, but not both. The HVAC system is so out dated it can only offer one function at a time. I informed Eric Bernstein) the front desk employee of the matter. He told me it wasn't hot enough outside to need AC and that I could open my window. Mr. Bernstein informed me that he really didn't care about my issue because he was starting a new job soon. Keep in mind it was 80 degrees in my room. Upon checking out the next day I made several attempts to reach the GM, Daniel Duffy. I left several messages and several emails for Mr. Duffy. To this day I am yet to receive any response from Mr. Duffy. I also had Priceline try and reach out to Mr. Duffy, 5 times to be exact, Mr. Duffy again failed to get in touch. Thumbs down to Mr. Duffy and Hotel St. Regis. I do not recommend this property to anyone.

Booked on the app Hotel Tonight, so I wasn't sure what room I'd get based on the pictures. They apparently renovated because my room was super chic. Wound up getting a king size bed and a suite with a living room area. Everything was clean. You can hear the people in the room above/below you when in the bathroom, but that wasn't problematic. The front desk staff were fast and friendly, as were the valets
