Great location. Was some construction when I got there and meet working but the wrapped it up by 3pm. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.

The rooms were great and the staff was very helpful especially with me being there with a bunch of kids on a field trip. Great overall experience. Only down side was the breakfast but it was still good just not great.

Beds were comfortable, large room and large bathroom and the shower was relaxing. They offer a full breakfast with a little something for everyone. The majority of the staff were helpful and friendly. I just wish they had a pool but hey everything else is spot on

Stayed here for the 2017 USMC Marathon. Had a 2 King suite, which was plenty of room for 5 people. It's extremely close to the Metro station, and the breakfast in the morning was great. Decor is a little dated, but the hotel is perfect for location and function.

The room is quite large and has a kitchen complete with dishes, fridge/freezer, and microwave. It even has a stove and dishwasher! I've only been here one night but breakfast was quite good and they have cookies on Thursday nights! A lot of small things add up to make it feel like home while away. My only complaint really is that the sink doesn't have a counter so there's nowhere to put toiletries etc except on tables in the other room.

The stay at the Clarion was comfortable with disappointments. The room was large and more than expected with all the comforts of home. Large full kitchen with wonderful granite counter tops and a living/dinning room. Great for a family stay. Everything was wonderful, until I walked into the shower that had blue tape holding the baseboard tile to the wall. The shower insert surround was sloppily installed and silicone dirty and cockeyed. Took the wonderful looking room down a notch to a mediocre scale hotel. Then I went to breakfast the next morning thinking it was going to be up to par of the name and price that projected a quality hotel. To may dismay, the pancakes were hard and crispy from being in the warmer to long. The potatoes were dry and lacked flavor. The eggs were cold and the Pace Picante sauce spoke of the quality of the service. Just speaks to the fact that because you have the name, large spacious rooms and put a price tag on it, does not mean the quality is there.

nice hotel, good location; could use a refresh as furniture was aging/worn/stained. Rooms were clean otherwise. I'd stay here again. Staff was great, giving us directions and recommendations, realizing we were tourist. Super nice and helpful!

Nice renovated older hotel. Loved the vintage feel of the lobby, hall ways, and room doors while still having a modern room with stone countertops, nice bed, kitchenette, and large bathroom. Great breakfast with real eggs, bacon, country potatoes, pancakes and more that were all made on site in their kitchen. You can really tell the difference between their breakfast and ones served at other hotels where everything is frozen and just reheated. They also have a lite dinner buffet on Wednesday nights which is a great bonus. I travel to Arlington monthly and this hotel is now part of my regular rotation at this price point.

The hotel is under a fair amount of renovation right now so there are certain issues that could be expected to be not as pleasant as one might want. My room lined up being fairly interesting in that it was not very well lit even with all of the lights on. The secondary bed which was positioned in the main room of the suite did not have any blankets on it. The couch was stained and the corners of some walls had a fair amount of paint chipping probably due to previous tenants hitting them while turning corners.

I accidentally (scatterbrain !) left my laptop bag in the lobby when we checked in. I didn't even realize it was missing when we left for a couple hours. When we got back, I saw it sitting in the same chair and was so embarrassed I left it. But was so thrilled that it was still there. Honest employees (the girl at the desk was AMAZING !) and in a very trusted area near DC !

Spent hours calling around to find a last minute hotel with rooms available, finally found Clarion, was worried we'd have a downgraded room, especially when the price was so low, but oh my goodness, we got a queen suite & it is perfect! Very clean, very welcoming! Kitchen included & living room as well, bedroom was in a separate room, two queen size with plenty room to walk around. TVs in both rooms & huge closet space! Bathroom was very clean as well! So pleased with our stay!

The room was large and inexpensive but not worth staying here again. Old, smelly food was left in the room - much of which was scattered in the sink and through the kitchen. When we told the front desk about it, they said they didn't have anyone on staff to clean it up and they couldn't put us in another room. So essentially we had to either deal with it on our own, or sleep with it there - which we did NOT want to do. It literally smelt like throw up in there. In general, everything else in the room was older. Elevators, hallways, all older. We'll be paying about $40 more/night from now on and will just stay at the newer hotels down the road.

Rooms were clean but average, nothing luxurious. Pillows were cotton sacks filled with cotton balls. We had a two bedroom suite. The TV was on the small side and had no DVD player, the furniture was outdated. The breakfast buffet was average. It was acceptable, but really not noteworthy in any way. Perhaps the price was good for the area, but you get what you pay for.
