So far we have been here for 9 days and counting down. At first we had a wonderful team helping us, Dr. Cooley was by far the best human/Doctor to exist he didn't parent shame us for asking a million questions or shame us when we questioned certain medications that were administered to him. I'm sorry, but we want to know what the the warnings, and the side effects are for anything our child is given. The weekend staff in this location seemed to lack passion in their career, and sympathy with their patients. My husband and I were blessed to be here with him the whole time so far, and we can't imagine how they treat the children when the parents aren't here The weekend nurses, kept forgetting the formula volume or what type of formula they had designated with higher calories for our son, (they had to pre make it) most of them didn't know that. They kept forgetting to come in and shut off the alarms that beeped non stop ,and or the feeding system for the NGT tube feeding. They didn't know how to suction his little nose and would tell us we had to wait for the respiratory nurses to do it, which would sometimes take hours for them to come see us. (We Found out that the nurses are trained to do it as well- depending on their comfort level) Lets just say my husband ended up figuring out how to maneuver all the machines in this room so far. It was just really annoying when we would have to tell the nurses how much formula or tell them to suction him because he was drowning in mucus, we HAD to tell them to do things they should be doing. But the part that really broke my heart was when Dr Sanders, had a little "team rally" out side our door telling her staff in the most annoyed voice, "we've told them 17 times this was going to take time!" So when she came in our room to do the daily check up she seemed very abrasive with us. Now let me explain to whom ever reads this, we have made this clear to all the staff that step into this room, We don't care if we have to be here for months, we want him to get better and if us asking questions translates to, ("we want to go home now,! We don't care what you say;)" ---Then shame on you.
Basically from the standpoint that was interpreted to us was that, IF your child is being "taken care of" here, your an ass hole for leaving your kid here alone. Your a dick if you're on your phone when they come in and you don't ask questions, but you will be completely shunned if you stay with your child, ask questions about his health,and ask what they are doing when they are moving things around him. In conclusion we hope to never come back here. I feel sorry for the kids who are here alone, and feel sorry for the parents who want to be part of helping heal there kids here, because apparently they don't care. I can only think of 2 nurses & 2doctors who did a phenomenal job in caring for our little one and cared about our questions and took our demeanor as trying to help and didn't take it offensive.

The place has to b God sent to Atlanta we were treated so nice on 11/12/17 by everyone. They were the same almost 21years ago when my oldest grandson had surgery around 4/15/1997 thanks so much& may God bless u all.

They saved my daughter's life !!!!! She was in ICU and barely hanging on. I could never repay them for what they have done for my daughter and family!!! Amazing from beginning to end!!!!! Only hospital I trust with my children !!!!!

Be careful they sent me a bill that did not reflect what was agreed to at the time of service with my insurance next thing I knew they increased my bill by $600. Brandi called me and explained they sold their practice and they are now part of a hospital and that parents were sent letters. What letter? This was my first time they didn't even have my address how could i get a letter? Bunch of lies to take my $$ when all I'm trying to do is get my daughter a good physician instead I get money scams

She WAS ENCOURAGING SHE WAS ALSO THE MOST RESPECTFUL PERSON IVE EVER MET. SHE WAITED ON ME. SHE ENCOURAGED Me TO GET OUT OF BED AND WHEN I NEEDED TO WALK. AND I DID SO SHE WAS BY My SIDE AS LONG AS I NEEDED HER. SHE WAS LIKE MY GOD MOTHER . SHE UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING THAT I WAS GOING THROUGH. AND SHE WAS INSPIRATIONAL. SHE WAS THE MOST BEST NURSE IVE EVER HAD SHE ALWAYS HELPED ME TO GET OUT OF BED WHEN I WANTED TO GO WALKING AROUND THE NURSING STATION JUST TO GET OUT OF THE BED.SHE WAS JUST THE BEST NURSE POSSIBLE.

My son really gets spoiled when he comes here he really likes it he's only been 2 the ER so whatever they are doing keep up the good work. I the mother have sickle cell and have seen a lot of children's hospital and this hospital would be my second choice my 1st pick would be Scottish Rite

I will forever be thankful for the wonderful staff in the picu that saved my 10 month olds life. They are the reason my baby girl is smiling today ! I didn't know if I'd ever see that smile again. They treated my baby as if she were their child and I could never thank them enough for that.

If I could give them 100 stars I would. I've been going here ever since I was 9 years old up until I was 20 years old when I transferred to Emory 4 years ago. As a patient here during that time was amazing. They have the best staff I've ever experienced, the building is super clean and always looking nice, and the people there are super friendly. While me having to stay overnight for weeks throughout those years Children's became my second home. Almost everybody there knew who my mom and I were. I had some bad times here (not due to the staff just personal things) and a lot of good times here. I know when I do have children some day this is the place that I will be bring them if something ever happens to them.

My 2 1/2 day experience here was OUTSTANDING. I'm not saying that just because someone told me to. I may be young, but I know a great staff when I see it. The nurses and doctors make you feel very comfortable. Before I came here, I hated going to the doctor/hospital because it always gave me anxiety. This experience changed my mindset COMPLETELY. I really think it's the best Children's Hospital right now in this day and time. The nurses, doctors, and surgians are really awesome, funny, and kind. And you really need something/someone to lift your spirits while in pain. They definitely won me over. Best experience!! Thank you Ms. Sophie, Ms. Maranda, and Mrs. Emily C.😊

Saved my little Zaydons life
I am so thankfull to each and every one in their staff..from the time I walked in my 19month was unconsious with 104°c fever..30 seconds later he was moved to a room and treated
Doctor Lindsey young beautiful mother and a excellent Healthcare provider and other doctors took care of me and my baby
A very nice gentlemen from child services came and gave me support and made sure I was ok! In simple words every single person I came across was highly qualified to take care of kids (nurse amy) was so helpful
I will never go anywhere else EXCEPT HERE specially the crappiest hospital in the world which is near my house EASTSIDE MEDICAL IN SNELLVILLE
I traveled here because of all the awesome reviews ..
NO ONE CAN TREAT YOU AND YOUR KIDS BETTER THAN THEM.

The staff at Egleston Children's hospital is the most fantastic bunch of heros ever. They tended to my 1yr with such care. It was like she was their child also. My son was with us and even though he was not being tended to for anything they treated him so awesome.Thank you so much Everyone. Especially Dr DE and Nurse Doris.

Everyone was very nice!! My 3 week old son caught the flu back in 2014. We had been out the country for a 2 weeks due to Extraordinary reasons and I hadn't had much sleep. My son was super fussy and wouldn't sleep at all at night due to him being sick. Finally, the second night we were there,( he was admitted for a couple of days), I didn't have energy and I thought I was going crazy. I asked the nurse to please help me with him. She was super sweet and told me not to worry and sleep, ( mind you, it was 4 am). Our stay was very comfortable due to the Medical team. I love this hospital. I always bring my kids here whenever they don't feel well. Keep it up!!
