I can't speak the ER experiences, but I had my daughter at Kennestone two years ago almost and we couldn't have been happier with the overall experience. Everyone was friendly and supportive. I rated at a 4 because the rooms weren't the most up-to-date rooms, but they were private and allowed us to spend time heal and enjoy our new one without worries. Security for the newborn area was great. I am going back next year to have another one.

My wife and I just had our first child at kennestone. Wonderful experience for the both of us! Wife was very well taken care of through dilvery and when she had to go to the OR after for a bleeding issue. She felt very comfortable and I was kept well informed whenever new information was available. Amazing job by all staff, nurses and the doctor!

Be careful with any procedure or test at this place. They will assure you that something is covered by insurance and then it winds up not being covered. They take no accountability for this. I would go elsewhere.

I was recommended to this hospital after I was being taken care of at a Well Star urgent care. After checking in I was immediately charged 400 dollars just to be triage. I then left BEFORE seeing the doctor. I decided to leave since I felt better. Wait a month or so and receive a bill the hospital bill which was 400 JUST for signing in at the hospital. Since the hospitals billing is completely separate. I then received a bill from the nurse/doctors who i never saw. I requested by medical records to try and dispute the charge and they changed me 6 dollars (which included a 3 dollar shipping fee even though I picked it up in person). NEVER go to this hospital or any Well Star hospital EVER. They will find different ways to just charge you money. I have ended up pay >600 plus for my visit to pretty much only get my blood pressure taken. I REPEAT NEVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. ALL WellStar Hospitals are a nightmare, I am convinced they are con-artists in disguise.

I was admitted on Tues. 9/26/17 and discharged 9/28/17. I was a patient in the green tower (G531). The nurses, charge nurses, techs, docs., etc. were all amazing in making sure all of my needs (and even some special requests) were taken care of. Thank you Kennestone staff for being such an awesome team!

The place is very clean and everyone is nice and does a fantastic job. But, also one of my favorite things about this place is the men that work here. Like. where did they come from??? Heaven??? Literally godesses. I love it here.

I was born in Ethiopia and went through some of the tuffest things life has to throw at you like starvation. What I experienced at this hospital as I am typing this message is far and above any of this experiences. I have never felt so disgusted by other human beans as I have with these people that have no idea what the heck they are doing. If you want to live and be respected or dignified run away from this place. We waited for 5 hours after the doctor told us that we were moving into our room. He kept giving us the run around with absolute disrespect.

My wife, newborn and I just left Kennestone and I can say that we would without a doubt recommend it as a birthing center for any future parents.
The staff were amazing. Everyone, doctors, nurses, security guard, cafeteria cashier, food delivery, etc. treated us so kindly during our stay. We were extremely nervous having never done this before but the staff at Kennestone made us feel calm and relaxed always explaining everything to us very clearly.
The facilities themselves are in excellent shape with a clear path to everything on the first floor, maps everywhere and plenty of (paid) parking. I'm sure my family appreciated the interesting historical exhibit, cafeteria and bistro while they were waiting for our baby to be born.
The Mother/Baby room was perfect for us and a few visitors. They host a maternity tour if you want to see what they look like.
I'm not a fan of going tot he doctor or hospital, but this experience was great enough for me to stop and write a review, if that tells you anything!

My mom went here for a breathing emergency, first to the Green tower then the Blue, where she stayed for 2 weeks. All positive experiences. The Blue tower is where I met for so i can only review that portion. She received great care in a big room and all personnel were knowledgeable and friendly. I was very impressed with everyone. I did not know the questions to ask so I feel they could have been more forth coming with information, instead of "what questions do you have," but that is only a comment for improvement.

Kennestone is an old hospital, and for many their only option in an emergency. It has a lot of potential to be great, but seems to be a work in progress. Facilities on the newer wings seem better than the older parts of the hospital so YMMV

Pros:
On the positive side, the nurses in the ICU and IMCU are amazing. Physicians also pretty good. Outpatient care is great.

Cons:
Nurses on the general floors are overworked and not helpful. Doesn't seem safe to leave family members here without someone staying over. Lots of the departments (like Physical Therapy) seem understaffed and it can take a while to see someone. On the cardiac (non ICU) floors the patients are managed my Physician's Assistants instead of Cardiologists.

The ER is great, but they get backed up really fast, and it can take forever to be seen. If its really not an emergency, consider urgent care or one of the other hospitals in the metro area.

No grab bars in the patient room bathrooms, making it difficult for fall prone patients to use the bathrooms safely. Really was surprised at the lack of grab bars.

Most of the time when I visit people the hospital, the hand sanitizer in the rooms is empty. Kind of a problem when sanitization is important.

I delivered two out of three babies at Kennestone, and we just had the best labor and delivery experience possible there. The nurses and staff were all amazing, and our after care was peaceful and comforting for my husband, baby and me. I give Kennestone Hospital the highest rating because they really know how to take excellent care of their patients and their families. Thank you, Kennestone!!

The nurses were nice but holy crap was this a huge inconvenience. I was admitted for what was essentially observation, which I understand and agree with. But after that all I did was wait, not once was I told anything was wrong but "we should just run one more test." Even after I was told I should be discharged they wanted to consult one more doctor who took so long they had to keep me another night! And after getting the results of that test, I had to wait another 6 hours just for a doctor to sign off on that. I hope you are not in an emergency situation and can stay away from this place, all they want is to waste your time and suck money out of you.

I was admitted to this hospital with a kidney infection and it went down hill from there. Every day I was in pain and the nurses acted like I was just a problem child to them. After 2 nights and 3 days I finally had enough.

1. I woke up having problems breathing and they said they would get oxygen. It's 11:18pm now and they still never did.

2. I never received breakfast or lunch on my last day either. When I asked about my food they still did nothing, but got upset when I said I didn't take my iron pills. (Can't take them on an empty stomach)

3. The doctor came to see me and I complained about being in pain and he said well do you feel better than when you got here. I said yes and he said then you're fine. Then, he walked away.

4. When the night nurse came in to hook up more fluids I felt the fluid running down my arm. He said the vein probably burst and he would come back in a minute and put a new IV in. An hour later he still had not come back. At this point I was then later to get my antibiotic.

This hospital has the rudest and most lazy nurses I have ever had to deal with. They have no bed side manner and will not give a rats a** if you are in pain. I highly recommend going to Cobb or any other hospital except Kennestone.

I had nothing but a great experience. From the time I was admitted around 11:30 pm 1/27 until I was wheeled to my car after being discharged, 3 days later. All the nurse staff & nurse assistants were amazing. Even the lady who brought me my meals was so pleasant. The staff that helped me deliver my baby natural was awesome and helpful. Treat others how you want to be treated and you will see the difference.
