Summertime stop in the mountains for some refreshing Space Juice. Ask for it. It will change your life. Great food too, not just the drinks, I always love it when I get to stop in.

Food is ok, greasy, nothing special but the hours are what kills me. Closed Sunday and Monday. Don't call and ask for breakfast after 11. It isn't happening. No flexibility. Not how you succeed in a small town but I guess were desperate up here for something even remotely good. Still waiting

I rarely leave comments on the internet, but this is the best Cafe I visited in California! On a long trip from France, I tasted here the best and biggest pancakes I've ever had. But here Cindy and Bill have much more to offer than food. Their heart warming hospitality will fill up your batteries for a while. They also play great music. The place is comfortable and atmosphere is really welcoming.

Been to Cafe Cindy's twice now. It's a fair drive for me from Apple Valley, so I usually only stop by when the interstate is backed up going down the hill, and I feel like going a different route other than south on 138 out of Summit Valley. The first stop was several years ago, that was for lunch and it was good, but too long ago for any juciy details. Breakfast was just a week ago, and I'll say that the pancakes and sausage were the best I've ever had. I don't eat eggs so I was given fruit that was actually ripe, sweet and ever so tasty. In reading the other reviews, I'll be headed back up to try the bacon cheeseburger real soon. I wonder if Chef Cindy will fix that for my breakfast? Can't wait to find out.

Cindy is an amazing cook and Bill (her husband) covers the dinning room. They are both wonderfully pleasant and are happy to offer recommendations to newcomers.
The chicken noodle soup is home made and thick. The biscuits run out quick (with good reason) as they are made fresh daily so go early if you want one. The fried zucchini appetizer is also great (smothered in cheese and bacon with a side of ranch). Dessert nachos are a must if you have room.response / report this review -

Unless they have changed, we had a horrible breakfast there. The special crispy waffle pancake had to be wrung out to be edible. The gravy that was bragged about seamed packaged and not made by a " chef"

Every time I go up to Cindys Cafe I am amazed. The service and hospitality is warm and inviting. The food is delicious and my 12 year old son swears she makes the best bacon burger he has ever had. Visiting Chef Cindys is a special treat every visit we make.

I ate breakfast here once. Lots of comfort food I was a little disappointed that potatoes and biscuits and gravy were a little extra greasy and dark The hours are unusual, breakfast and lunch mainly. Prices average ($10 and up, which is typical on the mountains). I would definitely try the home style cooking again.

I loved the Jack Daniel burger. One of the best burger I ever had. The gentleman who took my order was super friendly and even pointed out a scenic site Lake Gregory nearby to visit with my to-go order.
