This is a fun place to eat, our chef was funny and outgoing, he put on a good show. The food was pretty good. This is a pricey restaurant. They give you a ton of food so sharing a plate is definitely doable however they do charge you over $8 to share a plate. It took a long time for our chef to start our food after we ordered. Our server did a fair job at refilling drinks. It says that tips will be added to parties over 5, we had a group of 4 and were charged almost $20 for our tip.
They charge for everything, even if you are going to share a plate. The sushi didn't taste fresh. The teriyaki chicken was very dry. They have automatic gratuity which I don't like since they don't have great service to begin with. There are way better sushi places in the area to spend your money.
I work here. It's a pretty good place to work. If you have a complaint, don't insist on speaking to the manager. Go to one of the hosts. Don't complain to your server, your chef, or the manager. They probably won't understand or care. Going to the hosts is your best bet because they can actually do something. The food is pretty good and the show is so worth coming. All you can eat sushi is a great deal, but realize it's a lunch item.
We always go here for family dinners! Great food! Sometimes can be a little on the salty side, but still delicious! And whenever I order steak medium rare, it's ALWAYS well done. Kind of annoying..
The chef didn't seem happy to be there. He barely spoke to us and put way too much soy sauce and butter in our food.
We ended up we stomach aches and spent $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids because they added $18 gratuity :(
It was a fun experience! I can't say it was the best Japanese food I've had it or the best chef cooking at our table But, he was nice and tried really hard. The food is a little pricey. I've been to better Japanese restaurant a lot less expensive.
The experience is very fun, the chefs cook in front of you, some of the chefs are very funny and cool some aren't. Good for parties or events. I enjoy the noodles and veggies but otherwise I think it is average food.
"Don't come here if you don't have money" was screamed at me as I walked out the door of tenpanyaki on a Saturday night. My boyfriend an I came here for date night and we're greatly disappointed when we had lack of drinks, lack of quick service and a lack of a quality meal. As we were preparing to leave they added a $10 tip with out any authorization. We were planning on a small tip because it's expensive as is and we did not get what we paid for, however when we asked them to take the $10 tip off we were interrogated as to why and after explaining decided we didn't want to leave a tip at all. After we told the waitress that we were not going to tip she changed it and screamed out the door not to come here if you don't have money. So unless you want bad service and to be yelled at when a waitress doesn't earn a tip. DO NOT GO HERE.
Always great food! Super fun experience. Very kind staff. Never had a bad meal here. I love it!
Been eating here for years because the food is always great. It's cost a lot but is worth it. But they get the one star review this time because my wife and I just finished our wonderful meal and when the waitress came to take our payment she opened it up and counted the cash. She didn't think it was enough. Not because she couldn't count, there was enough money to pay for the meal including a tip. Her problem was that I didn't tip enough. Now I know most places require a tip if you have a big party, but as I said it was just me and my wife. She showed me what the 18% and 20% tip was because it was printed on the receipt and said that I needed to pay that amount. I told her that I had given the amount required for the meal plus some extra. After she insisted several more times I got up and said this has been my favorite place for years but I guess I will never eat here again. So the food is great but plan on paying 20% tip on top of your costly (but very good) food.
The server we had was horrendous from the start. It was obvious she did not want to be there. She got our order wrong and because of her mistake we were over charged by 50 bucks! We constantly reminded her about splitting the check and she just doubled my order. Additionally, every time we made an effort to clarify our order she dismissed our efforts without slowing down to listen. The best part was that there were only two other full tables and the restaurant was not busy at all.
Dont go here! Service is terrible and if they get annoyed with you they will overcharge you. Thieves!
The food is good, but they raised the prices and its not worth the $50 for two plates. There are better places to go for the price.
Way overpriced. They added gratuity based on tax and overcharged. The soup/salad was inedible and the food tasted like sugar. Really odd experience. A kids meal with a drink cost $13. We will never go there again. Absolutely terrible experience.
The happy hour sushi is the best! Excellent sushi artisans and the food is really great. Our kids love the entertainment when we sit at the flaming tables too. There could be a little training on hospitality though, the service is excellent however their attitudes could reflect that they actually enjoy it. ;) Thanks for the great grub!
Sushi was actually pretty good despite the wait. It took 2.5 hours just get all the sushi we ordered. Everyone's drinks were almost always empty. We wouldn't have waited but by the first 1 and a half we had already paid, but we wanted to make sure we got our money's worth. I wouldn't go again, especially because they force a tip, even though the service was crap.
