I have visited many Indian buffets, and this one is my favorite. There are MANY fun and delicious vegetable dishes. They have brilliantly converted the delicious creamy dishes, usually made with heavy cream, to coconut-based! This is not only yummy, but also opens up the menu significantly for those who can’t do dairy. I hope to return next time I am in town!

Wonderful! This was our first time at The Kathmandu and we were a little unsure of what to expect, not to mention what to order! Everyone was so polite and helpful and they made some great recommendations. Everything was fantastic and we will be going back soon.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the valley. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is nice and the food is delicious. I usually end up getting vegetable Sampras and the coconut vegetable korma. Don't expect to be in and out of this place quickly; slow down and enjoy your visit. You can also call ahead and do takeout.

Best Indian lunch buffet I've ever had, today. Everything is delicious as always. Hard to imagine a better use for 12 bucks. And my 4 year old eats free. Love it!

Some of the best Indian Food I've had. Service is kind and helpful; they seem to take pride in their food and their establishment. It's authentic, so take it easy on the spice level on your first visit :)

I go here for the reasonably priced above average buffet.

It is rendered a little bit more palatable for people inexperienced with this type of food but there are plenty of great vegetarion options and it's always well prepared.

The staff are all wonderful as far as I can see.

The food was amazing! I ordered this item off the breads menu that was lamb stuffed naan (can't remember what it was called) and it was really really good. I'd go back again just for that.
My husband and I ordered the dinner for two instead of entrees and had way more than we could eat. It was a good sampling of the items available which was nice because the length of the menu was a little overwhelming. The meat platter had a Nepalese chicken dish that was really quite good. Spicy, but not too much (a 3 on their scale of 1 to 7).

I write this review with some tough love, in mind. We went here for dinner the day after Christmas, when evidently everyone in the world goes out to eat, at the same time. They were swamped. A kind, young girl took our order, and warned us it "could take a while." We ordered some garlic naan bread, but it didn't arrive until over an hour later. It took nearly an hour for anything to come to the table, and when our food finally came, it was less than dazzling. We went there specifically for the whole Tandoori Chicken, and we patiently waited for it, but when it finally arrived an hour later, it was a few thighs, legs and wings. Also, I must note that my dinner companion nearly hurled upon eating the white rice they bring to the table, which admittedly tasted bland but smelled, for whatever reason, like stale cigarette smoke. I didn't didn't believe her at first, but upon tasting and smelling it- I had to concur. You guys need to check your rice, and then some. That said: I normally LOVE this place. The staff is awesome, and they generously discounted our check for the above mentioned reasons. The moral of this story is: if everyone else is eating here, go some place else. If it's not crowded, sit down and savor the goodness
