Customer service unbelievable nightmare
The employees and owner proved to be unorganized, incompetent, dishonest and accusing during a visit in November '17. The food there is good and we have been to Nuch's a handful of times per year since it opened. Two weeks ago, we ate there early (there are only about 6 tables in the space) with our two children. After eating, my husband gave his American Express card to pay to a waitress. A half hour passed after she picked up our card and bill. We then inquired about signing our bill so that we could leave. At that point, we were told that the hostess was having trouble with the credit card machine. An unreasonable amount of time passed again and we offered to pay with a check instead. At that point, we were told that they in fact, could not find our credit card! My family even looked under our table we sat out in hopes that our card had simply dropped out of the bill holder. Not to worry, we were told-"dinner is on us." -feel free to leave! Wait, what about our American Express card?! We suggested they take our phone #, and they suggested we cancel our card. The next day, my husband, who was traveling out of state in the next few days, called the AMEX and they told him that someone had made small charges (under $50) at a nearby Smiths and liqueur store. I called Nuch's to let them know what happened and asked that the owner give us a call. When I asked the person on the phone, who identified themselves as the manager, (who told me the owner was gone for weeks to a funeral) to confirm our phone number-it was a digit off! Needless to say, we were never called by Nuch's. Today, when I called to let the owner know about our experience, I was told that "I never quit talking" and that this was "not the story he was told, "that they told us to call the police" and that he thought we were "scamming them!" I hung up on him rather than further add insult to injury. We will never set foot in the restaurant again. A simple check in and an apology from the owner could have a had a whole different outcome for all involved. Watch your valuables if you dare to dine at Nuch's; we feel it is likely an employee who took our card when they saw an opportunity in the chaos.response / report this review -

Absolutely delicious food! They make everything (pasta, sauces, etc) in house and it is so good! Would recommend the speacialty dishes. Not very much seating inside the restaurant and they are often booked so call ahead if you want a guaranteed table or take it to go. 10/10 would recommend

I love this place. Very intimate and comfortable. Always great service and the food is wonderful. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

For the second time our take out order was wrong. The food is good, when you actually get what you order. I was in the mood for Alfredo chicken fettuccine and that is what we ordered among other items. I got marinara instead. Who wants to pack it up and drive all the way back to the restaurant and then wait for them to prepare the food you ordered.
I guess we eat in or order take out somewhere else.response / report this review -

Just left this restaurant after hearing great things and moving into the neighborhood. The service we received was nonexistent. Sat at our table for an hour and watched tables who were seated and ordered after us receive their appetizers, meals and bills. In the entire hour of sitting there, our waiter Eric brought us a beer which we ordered, Parmesan cheese and red peppers for our meal that never came. We were never offered bread, a second beer or updated on our order. We eventually walked out after paying for our beer. All Eric had to say was that the kitchen was "backed up". I find it hard to believe that a backed up kitchen prevents a waiter from offering us bread, a second drink or an update on our order. This is unfortunate because the patio was a great setting and the food looked great but, unfortunately the service was not anything worth visiting or dealing with.

I dined at Nuch's yesterday evening and it was incredible! Everything was incredibly fresh and artistically plated. You can tell they take pride in their dishes. I loved the ambiance of the outdoor patio as well. Food heaven!! It was perfect! We will be back!

WORST SERVICE EVER!! Waiting on hold for 5+ minutes to talk to the mgr Health/Keith (?). Rep Bobbi was AWFUL and I wanted to speak to mgr about terrible service. While on hold, Bobbi had 2 personal audible conversations on her cell phone, and when she finally came back in the phone, she said she hadn't had the chance to tell the mgr I wanted to speak w/him. Called back and finally spoke with mgr who was completely disinterested in discovering issue, immediately defensive, and gave the excuse "we've had an emergency here", "what do you want?" I've since learned that mgr is the owner - his business to treat how he wants but he won't be getting my money!

Came for pizza. It was great! Bubble bread is really good, too. Skip the side salad—overpriced and very stingy with the dressing. Dining experience would have been better if not for a broken shade—had sun in my eyes the entire time. Would come here again for the pizza.

I have been dining here for years every experience I can expect the same quality customer service, as well as spectacular knock your socks off food. Our waiter on this last dining experience, Jeremiah was very attentive courteous and helpful! The food, most of which is made in house from scratch, is amongst the most authentic Italian cuisine you will find in Salt Lake City. I highly recommend Nuch's for small gatherings as it is a small dining room so call ahead and make a reservation. Enjoy!
