plsss be aware all
everyone purchasing from this auction needs to be aware of this fact that happened to me last Friday 11/3.
purchased a green light BMW "ride and drive" with no announcement.
I decided to arbitrate to be on the safe side because i was on my way back to GA.
After the car is delivered to my shop we found out that its smoking and burns oil and has a massive oil leak.
Inspect the car yourself and never trust their garbage service department.
Good breakfast sandwich. Not a restaurant. This is an auto Auction with a little standup kitchen nook. It's good for what it is
Purchased a car online and asked for an inspection. After recieving car there were multiple issues that i was not aware of. I would not be upset except for the fact that it cost more to purchase online and an additional inspection was paid for, and all they did was drive the car and turn on ac to make sure it works. i would not have purchased car had i known the condition it was in
Excellent auction. I have bought vehicles from numerous auctions, and Charleston Auto Auction is by far the best!!!! In fact, I buy 90% of my inventory from CAA. I would highly recommend CAA to other car dealers looking to stock their inventory
I purchased a 2013 Nissan Altima via simulcast October 28, 2016 and it was in arbitration for over 2 months. I have spoken with the arbitration manager as well as the Assistant General Manager and the General Manager, and have not been able to find common ground. I have found the arbitration manager to be rude and dismissive, as well as unwilling to work with me outside of re-running this car through the lane. In speaking with the Assistant General Manager, he has been professional and courteous, but states that the solution I am seeking is beyond his level of authority. After speaking with the General Manager, she did not apologize for all that has taken place nor for her unwillingness to respond to our 6 voicemail messages and numerous emails over the course of the past 2 months. She also reiterated what the Arbitration Manager stated which was without a Post Sale Inspection, Green Light purchases are to be treated as Red Light, which we are not OK with.
Issues
- Purchased car via simulcast, green light without announcement, that wouldn't drive when I had it delivered. Seller is responsible for disclosing transmission issues.
- Was advised to re-run car, but car will not run through lane due to transmission issues that the Arbitration Manager originally denied. He stated, "How did it drive through the lane when you bought it?".
- Assistant General Manager advised that the car now has further damage that occurred while at CAA since purchase.
- This went on for 60 days and I have $8250 in this car.
Based on my experiences thus far with the Charleston Auto Auction and its staff, I do not expect them to do anything about my circumstance. My goal with this review, however, is to prevent anyone else from having such a poor experience with such a disgusting company.
Buyers Beware.
Touchdown Automotive Group
Friendly staff overall, but don't expect them to admit a mistakeit just won't happen. Had a vehicle that was supposed to have run red light, they ran it green light and wouldn't take any responsibility for it. I've also noted that they typically only run about 60-70% of the number of vehicles that they advertise will run.
Everyone is very nice and helpful at this auction.
The service and the staff are top notch. A pleasure doing business there. Chip Johnson used car director Nalley .
Great vehicles, amazing variety, awesome staff, unbeatable deals. Not to mention the tasty complimentary breakfast.
Scrap cars!!! Arbitration results are based upon being friends with the Operations Manager and how many cars you buy. This Auction is for Franchise dealers to dump their junk on Independent dealers. However I doubt that anyone will ever get to see this review because all of the reviews are from current employees and my reviews are "mysteriously" deleted.
