Would give ZERO stars if I could. First of all, my dad got put here with a hemorrhage stroke and on life support about 2 weeks ago. Throughout everyday they tried to talk my mom into pulling the plug as she would beg them to be left alone. He was in ICU and the nurses acted as if you were bothering them every time you asked them a single question. My mom had to tell nurses repeatedly that he was choking, and gagging. The doctors said there was no movement yet every time we went in there he’d be moving his legs and heart rate increasing. Everytime wed walk in wed see someone saying something. Like “oh he’s still here” or “he’s a vegetable”. The doctor flashed his phone flashlight in my dads eyes right in front of all of us as if he was dead. Today we get a call saying they want to give him surgery for his brain to get puss out. but may lead to death. We said no. Few hours later we “suddenly” get news his blood pressure dropped and he’s about to pass. HOW DID THIS SUDDENLY HAPPEN!!! So every movement and all didn’t mean ANYTHING? This hospital slowly but surely killed my father and when his heart stopped we saw them laughing and smiling in the room while performing “cpr”. They were in such a rush to get rid of my poor father instead of helping him out. Then we went downstairs and a NURSE LEADER said “he’s in the mourge now.” They were in such a rush to move the poor man. I’ve seen regular hospital patients get treated better at other hospitals than this one ICU!! Very VERY poor staff and behavior. I’ve been in many hospitals across the US and this hospital has got to be the WORST! Not to mention constantly having to ask security to let us in all the time. Also a police officer sitting outside the hospital should tell you what kind of hospital this is. SERIOUSLY AVOID THIS ONE!!! Thanks for nothing!

They sent me home without any help. They don't listen to you and the staff are the worst I have encountered. I am a disabled vet and they are already on the VA hospitals do not visit hospitals for vets. Unprofessional and gross because it looks like a ghetto hospital with trash everywhere. Worst ever hospital that I have been to.

I delivered my baby here and I really wish I would have looked more into it beforehand. When checking in, I was told that there was no issues with my birth plan and that they would be able to meet all my wishes. During my delivery, they went against what I had asked for. They didn't delay the cord cutting and I didn't get immediate skin to skin. My son came out and the cord was immediately cut and he was taken by the delivery nurses before I could even speak. I wasn't even the first person to hold my baby (as I had asked to be) I asked about my baby repeatedly while the doctor was stitching me up but they all ignored me. After they gave him to me at asked to see a lactaction consultant and they told me they would just send in a nurse. What kind of hospital doesn't have a lc?? After the nurse "helped" me breast feed, all the nurses left.. For hours. I was left sitting in a pool of my own blood, no pads, naked, no bed to lay my baby, nothing. I had to hobble to the bathroom on my own. I could have bled to death and they wouldn't have even known. And I was practically ignored for the rest of my stay, nurses hardly checked on me. Gabby is the only nurse that did her job correctly. I wish she could have been with me the whole time I was there. Also, I was told when we were leaving that my son's birth certificate would be sent to us. Lies! I wasn't told that I had to go to the health department to apply for one. They don't do circumcisions at the hospital anymore, I was not told this until the day after I had my son, and I had to ask them.about it at that. This labor and delivery until is just pathetic and I will never come back to this hospital

100% Neglect
I was transported to CFR in regards to heat stroke. When the ambulance picked me up, I was incoherent, extremely weak, and almost unconscious. I was unable to move without assistance and struggled to speak.
I was seen by a female "Doctor", whom I was later informed was a PA. She asked a few questions which I struggled to answer. She then informed that I needed an IV, blood work and urinalysis. She left the room without hooking me to the machine which monitors vitals.
AFTER AN HOUR AND A HALF, WITHOUT ANY FOLLOW-UP OR IV, I regained enough strength to get dressed and go to the nurses stand. The Head Nurse Allison wanted nothing to do with me and was plain rude and dismissive. Although she did have the insurance intake clerk respond followed by Dr.Goodman and a nurse.
Although Dr. Goodman was apologetic, he was unable to make up for the extremely long time delay for treatment. He advised, "there was shift change, 2 traumas and another issue, the original PA who ordered fluids and tests had gone home and they didn't know I was there". I couldn't help but to explain how serious heat stroke is and I could have died without anyone knowing I was in the room, nor hooked up to any machines to alert the staff. I further explained I could have received more fluids if I stayed at home on the shower floor taking in some of the cold water.
By this time I was very angry. I told him I wanted to leave for lack of medical treatment. Dr Goodman advised that if I left it would be against doctors orders. He "would" provide me fluids, blood test, check my heart/kidneys/liver and possibly admit me. There was no way in hell I was staying there for any medical treatment! I reminded him that all should have been done an hour and a half prior and luckily I took a turn for the better. He made me sign a RMA, due to the treatment he was offering way past when needed! I told him I didn't RMA, but instead they didn't treat; showing extreme gross negligence. His wheelchair blocked the pathway out of the room, therefore I had no option but to sign the RMA.
The other head nurse whom accompanied Dr. Goodman was extremely caring and apologetic. She told me she would add in notes about my incident and frustrations regarding paying for treatment that I NEVER RECIEVED.
This is not acceptable..this hospital should be shut down due to lack of competency, failure to provide emergency medical treatment, lack of communication and my near death experience!response / report this review -

This Hospital saved my life ! I delivered my son here after developing a near fatal rare disease.This establishment is professional and thorough when handling patients . The nurses were compassionate and attentive.The doctors are on top of your care plan. My surgery was carried out without any complications. ICU staff was amazing at accommodating me and making it a experience that was as comfortable as possible. The food was amazing and professionally delivered and savory. I spent 12 days there and had no complaints. After reading previous reviews I am so glad I didn't listen and went with my gut in trusting CFR!

Ive been to this hospital numerous amounts of times. The staff is always friendly and professional but unfortunately I don't believe the ER team works well together nor are they very pleasant with each other. After my husbands accident so many things were missed it was a car accident with visible bruises to his head yet for whatever reason a scan other than below his waist was performed. I know my husband didn't report pain but we found out later on he needed a total disc replacement that was so bad the specialist was astounded my husband wasn't paralyzed. I am a medical professional and when I saw the X-ray myself I knew something was very wrong. I hope their remodeling is finished and that they can get an ER staff that works well together and ones that actually care about the people and the job. The entrance clerks I encountered seemed annoyed to even be there. Not everyone uses a hospital as a doctors office so quit acting irritated towards anyone that comes in the door. Its a very stressful which is understandable (it is a hospital) but training on how to handle stressful situations and not carry it over to the next patient should be high on every ones minds. One minute a person can pass and the next a baby is born don't carry feelings from one patient to another. Unfortunately being able to control your emotions in situations like that is part of every medical professionals career.

The Cafeteria food is very bad. Visiting a patient daily for 2 weeks, the meats are very salty, supposed to be carb control and always get 2 carbs in the meal. No fresh salads, broccoli always over cooked, chicken breast very dry, just bad food all around.Today just got to me really bad. The salmon wonderful intent for the patient, but it looked like it sat outside in the hot sun for 2 weeks and was very very dry. They seriously need to get a real chef. I'm surprised they haven't changed their vendor yet. The staff is wonderful, no complaints there. Just bad food.

I came in for a pretty personal and sensitive issue on a Saturday and I was treated with such kindness and respect from every single person I came in contact with. Seriously, the triage, the nurses, the doctor, and all of the other technicians I had to see made my difficult time as easy as they possibly could have. The care was excellent, and the compassion was unexpected and much appreciated.

Horrible. My husband fainted in the bathroom at home. He cut his head open and broke his nose. I brought him into the ER. I understand that they were checking his heart to find out why he fainted but the next day they still did not address his nose or his head. Then when he was supposed to be released, the dr Came in at about 10:35am, said he would sign the release so he could go home. we were still there after 1pm. Ask when my husband was going to be released, they said when the dr signs the papers, he will do it in his own time. Really??? Night staff was great though. But not coming here again!! To update. The dr did not sign the paper work until 3pm. 4 hours waiting for him. And this was after I talked to the nurse, the head nurse and then went to administration. Never again!

A few days ago I went to the er with my 10 month baby and there's a young Indian doctor which I guess she just recently graduated because she gave my daughter a medicine that my daughter couldn't drink because of one of the ingredient that the medicine had which she's ALLERGIC to which made her have diarrhea for days , not to mention she gave me the wrong doze for the medicine she prescribed to her as well , and all this was all confirmed by her pediatrician which was so shocked they gave her such a strong antibiotic to a baby , and also the hospital was kind off full with short staff and they had a Phillipine lady running around not caring if my daughter was sick she just wanted to discharge her when my daughter had a fever of 105.3 now as a parent this hospital just completely disappointed me and I wouldn't step feet on it . I can't imagine what would of happened to my daughter if I hadn't confirmed with my daughters pd of the medication that was given to her and they have no excuse because that's the first thing they asked me if she was allergic to anything . So in responsible.

Nurses and CNA' 's good! Hospitalists doctors the hospital employs through IPC not so great. They try to discharge patients before their problems are solved and do not include the patient or family in the care plan with much information. They also have not shown a caring attitude . This has happened to my parents three times at that hospital. They also have not gotten a consult when needed each time and I had to call the specialists office and ask for it myself. Each time when the hospitalists doctors have tried to discharge early, the specialists have come in and said the patient needed treatment they had not received and kept the patient for treatment. I only have used that hospital because my parents specialists attend their patients there and not at Florida Hospital. The worse part was a hospitalist doctor covering for the first hospitalist doctor came in and said my mother wasn t going to get better anyway so he was just going to discharge her. He was rude, uncaring and had no bedside manners. I was advised to refuse to see him again by a hospital manager and to ask for another doctor which I did. I have never heard a doctor display such a rude uncaring controlling attitude as he had.

I feel the doctor put panic in patients, so they would go to the emergency room. All they care about is money. The doctor could have just told me to use an over the counter medication. The emergency room care is horrible. Even the lady who worked at the payment area said the cost for what I was seen for was ridiculous and agreed the doctor had poor quality care. Please avoid this hospital. Drive a little further to the Altamonte or Winter Park hospital, which I did to continue my excellent care during pregnancy. I was terrified to continue my care here for the birth of my daughter.

WORST. PLACE. EVER. I would give them ZERO stars, but since this is not possible - I have to give them one star. I would never recommend anyone, ever, let a loved one be taken or seen there. I have already reported this hospital to the Department of Health and Human Services and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and hope that something comes of it. I don't even know where to begin. They outsource their doctors and nurses. The doctors they use are incompetent and their nurses lazy and uncaring. I am surprised that anyone leaves that place feeling any better. If the person I took there for treatment gets worse, has permanent damage because of neglect, or passes, I plan on suing.
