My mom needs to have her gallbladder and appendix removed ASAP, but she is being denied the surgery they're claiming is so important because she has to get an ultrasound done by her regular doctor, when they have the staff and technology to do it there. Absolutely horrible hospital. I recommend spending money elsewhere rather than here, that way you get exactly what you need except unanswered questions and lies.

I went in for a UTI and kidney pain. Did a urine test showed a small amount of blood in my urine which the Dr said it was nothing. When I asked about the kidney pain if any test could be done to see if I had a kidney infection since my pain was a 9. She had the nerve to look at me and ask me what do you want me to do about it? This is the ErTold me that there was nothing else she could do for me. That I'd have to go to my PCP then they would referral me out. So basically sent me home with a med treatment that she wasn't even sure I needed. Had no sympathy for the pain I was in or even cared to find out what was causing me pain. They didn't even give me a Tylenol for the pain or naproxen for my inflammed kidney. Sent me home in the same pain I came there in. Do not go there. Horrible patient care.

Some of the nurses are rude and unfriendly, especially the over night crew. They take their precious time when called upon and catches slight attitudes when asked to do there job. There were 5 nurses I liked and I loved doctor Topkis but that's it.

Cruel and incompetent emergency room staff. Do not recommend to anyone needing or wanting good care, or even mediocre care, unfortunately. Medical staff here, especially in the E.R., is burned out and should take a leave of absence or leave the medical profession altogether for the sake of the patients. Drive to the next nearest hospital unless you want CRUEL and UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT that could kill you. This hospital should be closed down and the Emergency Room staff fired and arrested. I recently moved to Rockledge, but learned the hard way why locals call it Worst Off instead of Wuestoff. You are definitely worst off when you leave, if you get out alive.

a good place to deliver your baby. large rooms with nurses that tell you what's happening with your body and they don't try to keep you longer than you need to be there. personally I hate hospitals and I never want to be in one longer than needed, so it was a great relief to see them work on getting me in, slowed my contractions, educated me on how to keep them manageable until my due date and the warning signs, and released me.

Good Doc's. Horrible administration.
Wuesthoff was recently sold. What used to be a patient friendly hospital has now been turned into a medical gulag. Asked to speak with patient advocate and was refused. Maybe that would fly in North Korea, but in the USA. SADresponse / report this review -

Wuesthoff is a scam and should be shut down. They are responsible for my father's death with the pills they gave him, my dad died a few days after they gave it to him and they are still billing him 75.00 that should have been covered under Medicare or the VA. They lie about treatment for payment, like saying people are Baker Acted when they are not to collect funds. Then when asked to send itemized list they sent extended ER stay nothing about baker act and the stay was under an hour and there is proof but extended stay under their minds is under an hour and cost over 2k for no treatment just sitting on a gurney. They harass for payment and the doctors are lousy. One doctor talked badly about me to my daughter who defended me, to his surprise, guess he thought she would stick up for him and another doctor told my daughter to watch GI Joe for her slip disk issues.

I would give a ONE star if I could. I live out of state and my daughter who is only 20 was admitted. I called with the permission of my daughter (to speak with the doctors) and was told her nurse was with a patient and would call me back in just a few minutes. Also her doctor only does rounds and was NOT there. I waited HOURS and no nurse called me back. When I phoned hours later the nurse never even existed and I was switched around 4 times to 3 places/floors. Finally, an extremely RUDE English man names MARTIN got on the phone telling me he could not and would not tell me a thing. I had to wait until I spoke with my daughter. He couldn't even tell me what floor she was on and if she was admitted. Now I explained, I was mom living out of state and I had permission and had the nurse called me hours previously like planned this would not be an issue. He didn't seem to care or want to help. He "DIDN'T LIKE MY TONE OR INSINUATION"! I can see why this hospital has a rating of 2 stars, they have no idea what "hospital-ity" actually means. How about actually caring about the fact that a parent may actually be frightened for their child and can't reach them in a quick car ride. Martin must not even own so much as a dog or gerbil as he was as heartless and cold as a brick. A hospital is the last place he should be working and a nurse is not the profession for him as you need to be caring for that line of work. I was finally helped in the end after calling back that night requesting the nursing supervisor. She was most helpful. But, I certainly went through several phonecalls, an entire day of waiting and being passed around to multiple people who were clueless and uncaring. Extremely frustrating and unnecessary stress added to what we were already dealing with.

I wish I had read these reviews beforehand, but I was alone and in an emergency state when I visited and at least I know now. Maybe someone else can learn from this. Treated like cattle, ignored and left to writhe in agony from a kidney stone while I waited. I couldn't handle it anymore and eventually got a ride out of there. I was also charged for checking in and nothing else. This felt like an urban wasteland hospital. To top it off, I arranged payment and the idiot on the phone screwed up the paperwork and my account was sent to collections. I'm an insured, clean, working professional that makes an excellent living and have great credit. I feel sorry for folks that are in tough financial straights and end up here. Avoid at all costs.
