Our experience at Candlewood has been outstanding each time we've stayed here. Most recently we've stayed for over a month and the service and support has been consistently excellent regardless of which staff members have been on duty.
The hotel is very close to UT Southwestern, Parkland and Children's hospitals as well as Love Field and all are easy to reach quickly from Candlewood at any time of day even during rush hour due to the location.
The rooms are well appointed, very quiet, and the views from the inner hall rooms (which face the inner courtyard) are really great.
The beds and living room furniture are very comfortable and the dressers and cabinet drawers offer plentiful storage.
The laundry (included free with your stay) features really nice equipment and really helps with longer stays. The kitchenette in the room features a well stocked selection of tupperware, pans, plate sets and just about anything you could want as well as a glass top stove, dishwasher and full refrigerator.
The convenience store off the lobby is well stocked with pretty reasonable prices especially considering the convenience of not needing to leave the hotel :-).
The center courtyards (including the pool and a grilling patio) are wonderfully landscaped and a great place to relax or just take a brief stroll.
Probably most impressive to us, all the staff members we've worked with from the hotel manager to the desk managers and the housekeeping team have all been incredibly helpful and quick to address any needs or requests. In fact I don't think I've ever seen a hotel staff so consistent in their obvious desire to meet your needs.
We highly recommend the Candlewood - you'll enjoy your stay!
Isaih was extremely helpful and caring about our situation of going through open heart surgery here in Dallas for my son. He made sure we had plenty of towels and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and as comfortable as possible. The other staff was also great. They all pay attention to security and are even helpful with computer needs, faxes, and printing. I will recommend candlewood suites to anyone. Keep up the great work and thanks to all the staff!!
The rooms were great, spacious. I love the couch and full kitchen. I really like being able to brew a pot of coffee instead of a tiny little kcup. I like the ceiling fan. Courtyard is big and pretty. Almost everything was spotless. The curtains and hairdryer were dirty.
Super great hotel, every room is a suite that comes with a full kitchen, pots and pans included. Nice beds and bathrooms, mulitple rooms. Only unfortunate thing is rooms are cleaned once a week if you stay in them for that long. Great hotel
This hotel was very accessible to were I needed to go. It's a little tricky to get to at first but after that Greatness.
We stayed here because Southwest Airlines put us up after an afternoon of late flights and mechanical issues. We missed our connecting flight home. The hotel is old. Low ceilings, outdated, tired. When we pulled up, there were 3 cop cars out front. This is a hotel where people stay for extended periods of time. The bed was tiny but comfortable. The towels were great. It was a bummer that no coffee bar was available and there is no breakfast. This location is close to Love Field but surrounded by undesirable, sketchy neighborhood. Upon leaving to get back to the airport at 4am, we had to wait outside in the drizzle for the shuttle service driver to finish his cigarette. He would not let us in the van so there we stood, waiting.
Except for the recent renovations, it was a quiet stay. The construction work was done only during the day time and for one day, I was there. The staff was very friendly and the guests were nice too!
They rented us a room knowing the toilet was broken. I know because maintenance woke me up in the morning to fix it, but I never reported it broken. After they fixed it, there was a bunch of dirt in the Bathroom from maintenance. I asked for new towels on my 2nd night at night and they told me they only had 2 left because of the unexpected room rentals from the hurricane. It's a Saturday nightthey should plan for being sold out even with no hurricanes. I called and asked if they had DVD players, they said "Yes in every room," so I rented a kids movie for my nephew. Then I got here and there's no DVD player and they said some were broken.
I still gave it a 3 star because it is clean, the beds are comfy, it is really close to the airport, has a shuttle, and is less expensive than many other hotels nearby. They did have a nice pool that my nephew enjoyed (only gets 4 feet deep, good for him) and it feels pretty safe here. I'd still stay here again for the price and location despite the inconveniences.
Service was great and everyone has been pleasant. My room was nicely furnished and spacious. My only issue is that the washroom doesn't have a fan and the shower is extremely harsh and there doesn't seem to be a way to change it. Besides that, my stay has been great
Stayed here for two days. Had a four person suite. Enjoyed the stay. Only issue was the size of the rooms
Nice, basic, no frills hotel. The 2 bedroom is great for a family. The kitchenette is nice. The staff is helpful. The plumbing is a bit loud. Free shuttle within a 5 mile radius, including to a DART stop. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
It was everything we'd hoped it would be. For the price, it was phenomenal. We didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of all the amenities. I guess we'll have to come back! :-)
Had a great stay. Rooms were clean and Izzy at the front desk has great. Close to a lot of great restaurants as well.
We stayed one night due to a layover. The front desk service from Dominique was amazing. She was so helpful and accommodating! We were celebrating our engagement and she was sweet to us. The hotel is beautiful with a modern and clean feel mixed with historical architecture. Would definitely recommend!
