We went to view the property as a referred guest. We clearly communicated the date that would work for us but were booked for another and unable to attend our tour. I would love to actually review this property, but they started off on the wrong foot with me. Attention to detail is part of the first impression.
We stayed in a suite instead of one of the town homes because all the town homes were booked way in advance. Our suite was nice with fire place kitchen and a balcony to look at the Smokey Mountains. We brought our children with us so they stayed in the room next to us. There was a door we could open between the rooms however there was a concern with them having their own kitchen. The location is really close to down town Gatlinburg which is nice being close to everything. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful with all of our needs. The one thing I noticed that was lacking was a resort shuttle to down town. Parking is available in town however other resorts we have stayed at in tourist destinations have a shuttle service to drop you off. Definitely not a deal breaker just a heads up. Over all the stay was quite enjoyable for our week at the resort.
Me and my wife stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with our 9 month daughter. Our building was a little hard to find even with the map they gave us. But we found it. Room was clean and cozy. The snow on the trees was so beautiful.
I'm an Elite Diamond member of Choice hotels. I love traveling and with that being said I've seen a lot of excellent and terrible hotels. But let me tell you, this hotel is located in the absolutely gorgeous spot and is extremely cozy. It's perfect for romantic or family getaways. We stayed in one of the cabins. Upon the arrival check in was fast and easy. As soon as we got to the cabin we were very pleased with the overall appearance. Fireplace created a perfect touch to our getaway. I was personally very impressed with the cleanliness of the room, kitchen, and bathrooms. The kitchen had all of the new appliances and all of the supplies needed (pizza cutter and wine opener were very useful). Pots and pans were brand new. Hot cocoa and popcorn were our welcoming goodies which were a very sweet touch. We were truly happy with how clean and fresh the place looked. And one more thing, after you wake up you can step out on your private porch to enjoy your coffee. Sadly, one thing I'm not happy with- we stayed only one night I would definitely recommend at least 2-night stay to enjoy the beautiful Smoky Mountains at Bluegreen Vacations Mountain Loft.
Staying a week for an anniversary. Our stay was comfortable, and the staff has been very friendly throughout. Staying in the townhomes don't provide the same views as the main lodging building but you do have views nonetheless. If you go to the town's enjoy as much of the touristy stuff as you want but don't forget to go to the small shops the locals enjoy as well. We went to lil black bear Cafe and enjoyed that more than the pomp of some of the other restaurants we tried. Crockett's breakfast camp was amazing if you are looking for a great breakfast to rival your own hometown fair.
We had a really good experience at Mountainloft resort. The units have all been recently renovated and everything was nicely done. The leaves were just starting to turn and the mountain view was nice.
Amazing staff. Left an early anniversary card for my parents waiting on the kitchen table. Nice, clean rooms.
Cons: the guide button on the TV didn't work, the shower curtains would be better if they were rounded and if the washer has a sample detergent they should also have dryer sheets
Our family has bluegreen timeshare.. while the resorts are nice, and it's fun to spend time here and have our own little kitchenette and home away from home, we aren't very happy with the resort itself. It isn't worth becoming owners in the timeshare.. the maintenance fees go up every year.. a lot of times you don't have first pick because they save rooms for people who aren't owners. This past stay was great minus the woman who was supposed to give us our tag for our car she was a bit nasty about us saying no we didn't want to do a tour. If someone says no, it needs to be respected. After making a few snide comments, she sighed heavily then turned to her co worker and started complaining about something else, instead of taking care of what we needed, and then go about her personal life when no customers are around.very unprofessional. Everyone else was super sweet that we dealt with. Rooms were cleaned and well stocked.
Second time staying here. They've made improvements in the last few years. Very nice to work with. Made sure we had connecting villas with inside connecting doors. Also, accommodated or request for top floor.
We are Bluegreen owners, and are very happy to be.
My family and I spent 5 days at Mountain Loft with my brother and his family. We shared a "cabin" and really enjoyed it, however don't think it'd be nearly as enjoyable if we had to share the cabin with strangers. There's 2 doors that separate the sides of the cabin like those found in a hotel, but it doesn't block out all the sounds. It located just a few minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and is far enough away that you feel secluded. The pools are nice too, with one that is an indoor/outdoor pool
This place was fantastic!! We stayed for a week with our family on vacation and we absolutely loved it!! I would definitely come back and inwould also recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic vacation spot!! The terrain is just beautiful the view we had from our villa was so majestic!! Good job guys you all are awesome!!
The hotel is really nice. All the rooms are really nice and well kept. The pools are both clean and fun to swim in. The clubhouse will also give you games to play if you want. The roads can be a little confusing at first but it's a really nice place to stay at.
My parents have a timeshare here and we go here a lot when we go to Gatlinburg. I love the convenience of where this Resort is located. We have ran across some issues when things are wrong they do not replace them in a timely manner. We told them the dryer was not working properly in my room they said they would send someone to fix it. Never did, this dryer burnt holes in my two new t-shirts. For them to reimburse me they were going to have to send my shirts to corporate and then mail me a check. They could clearly see the shirts were burnt not sure why they needed to go to corporate a little frustrating.
Nice resort. Rooms are great. Love that you can make your own food with full kitchen or can use grills by pool. Must have a car to get around. Tried to do trolley when we first arrived but a long walk especially if in the back of the resort and not too much lighting between guard hut and registration building. Would def stay again
The location is wonderful, and the facilities are beautiful. My family and I did have the unfortunate circumstance of our unit flooding after a freak accident, but I'm leaving a 5*review based on the amazing customer service we've received and expect to continue while we work through the issue. The clubhouse and pool are both wonderful, and with that in mind, I would recommend staying here if given the opportunity. Bluegreen is a timeshare, however I won't go into specific review about those programs, and only suggest you take some time and do your homework so you can make the decision that's best for you. Enjoy mountain loft, and enjoy your time here in Gatlinburg, TN. It's pretty amazing.
