We were in a one bedroom unit that had been recently renovated. The bathroom was very big with a large jacuzzi tub. There was a large walk in closet. The bedroom was also very spacious with a very comfortable bed. There was a gas fireplace in the living area. The kitchen was nice with a pantry and a closet for the washer and dryer. All employees were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Rooms are nice. We had issues with our gas fireplace but maintenance came immediately and fixed it. Indoor pool and hot tub are nice. Sauna wasn't working. Great hills for sledding.

Nice place with a lot to do on property and close to a lot of fun things. Bathtub had a blue ring or I'd give it 5 stars. We will definitely be staying here again.

Pros: We had a unit that was fully equipped and beautiful. The grounds are amazingly beautiful with mini-golf, tennis courts, fishing pond, trails to walk, basketball court, heated indoor pool and saunaetc. Many, many perks and comforts set in absolutely beautiful surroundings. Sadly, by the time our weekend came, the weather did a massive turnaround and it was 20 degrees colder than what it showed it would be at the time we made our reservations; so we didn't get to enjoy all the outdoor niceties as we had originally planned -- be sure to reserve your stay during decent weather so you can enjoy all that is available to you! (Don't forget your tennis racquets and fishing poles!)
The security guard was super nice and very accommodating! He escorted us to our unit and talked about some of the things to do - he told us about a bear being nearby and if he comes out, just make a lot of noise 'cause they're more scared of us than we are of them. ;) He made sure we had everything we needed, advised us not to leave any food in the car (bears have been known to break in), and told us how to get a hold of him if needed. Very friendly and helpful fella.
There was a well-manicure mini-golf course we could see right out our window, and a beautiful trail on the other side of it. There are picnic areas everywhere, but due to the cold, I didn't venture out to get any more photos. All in all, it's an incredibly beautiful place, jam-packed with plenty to do - you wouldn't have to go anywhere outside the resort to have a full, fun, and memorable getaway.
Cons: We didn't realize we were going to be getting a one-bedroom unit (with one bed) with a pull-out couch. We had to use the extra blankets provided since we had to use the pull-out couch and had to request not to be charged for using them, as at the time of booking we disclosed there would be 4 people staying - and we weren't all 4 going to sleep in the one bed. (Also, as this is a resort and you may be charged for extra things, do not leave any dirty dishes - and you'll want to bring extra bathroom necessities.)
** Also, if you need to check in past 8 p.m., you will have to talk to Security in little security building right there in the front parking lot. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN QUITE BENEFICIAL TO US HAD WE KNOWN THIS because we ended up coming in late and the main building was locked. It was freezing outside, and we did not know what to do. (This is the kind of information people should be privy of upon reserving a room.)response / report this review -

I have been to the Blue Ridge Village on many occasions and it never disappoints. We have even created some annual family excursions here about 3-4 times per year! Our son even calls it his mountain home! The amenities, customer service and accommodations are top notch. If you’re looking for an overall great place to stay no matter the season, Blue Ridge she has it all!

If you have never been here this is one of the best resorts to stay at in the Boone and Banner Elk area! They have any amenity you could think of, they're close to waterfalls skiing, hiking, gem Mining, and even just a leisurely drive on the parkway. All the units are fully stocked and everybody is friendly but keeps to themselves. I highly recommend checking it out!!

I stayed with my family for a week and had a great time. Very nice property with lots to do. While they have signs that warn of possible bears on the property, its different when you actually see one. One night around 11 or so we were sitting by the fire pit and saw a bear just stroll by the fishing pond and pavillion and head towards the putt putt course! Very exciting and fun. Had a wonderful time and would highly consider visiting again.

The rooms are very nice. They are two story with then master bedroom upstairs. The kitchen has all the amenities, and even has marble countertops. However,, the associated amenities leave much to be desired. The advertised Internet works only occasionally, if you can connect at all. They also have ah pond that is supposed to be for fishing, but in the three days we wet there, we fished tried fishing a total of seven times and caught only one fish. I would estimate we spent twelve to fourteen hours trying. The rest of the amenities were adequate at best. The location is somewhat hidden in dense forest, hiding most of the beautiful scenery of the blue ridge mountains. Our view from our room was just a bunch of trees about twenty feet from our room. While the rooms were nice, overall we were pretty disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful resort in the heart of Ski country. There are fabulous restaurants, art galleries, and even a little night-life to enjoy. We ate wonderful food, listened to live music and drove over to Blowing Rock. Great little getaway. Our unit was amazing and even more than we expected. We will definitely return.

Nice place to stay. Close to many attractions- hiking, skiing, shopping. Resort had things to do as well. Quiet and restful place to relax with enough things to do to have fun.

Really enjoyed the stay. Clean and comfortable place. Only problem was a ground floor room has no balcony, no large glass door to enjoy the view and makes the room dark. Get a 2nd floor room!

Love this cozy resort! Always a nice little vacation when we come here. Peaceful area with nice grounds to walk! Banner Elk and Boone are neat little town nearby to check out.

Great Stay, my only real concern was the extremely small shower, I am not a big person, 5'3" and 140 LBS, this was a tight fit for me. Otherwise this is clean, well set up, rooms are cozy and comfortable, plenty of space, great kitchen and the whirlpool tub was amazing. We loved the pool and jaccuzi as well as paddle boating and Putt Putt Golf. This is a great place to stay, excellent bang for the buck, family friendly but quiet and secluded at the same time. We will be back!

Wow where to begin. Great staff. The rooms are like a 1 or 2 bedroom apartments. Nice fireplace (gas). The grounds are beautiful, you have a indoor pool and hot tub, nice Lake you can fish. Paddle boats, only 2 in the water when we were here. Putt putt course. Fitness room. Playground, corn hole boards. Great place to bring the family. We had about 15 people there. So come enjoy. Oh the bad. Our room phone did not work. They do not do room cleaning unless you ask. You have to ask for towels when you need them. No swings for the kids. The showers are very very small, room for one small person. The road is very close and road noise all of the time.
It is a place we will visit offense. So don't let the bad in here stop you from coming. It is a great place. We enjoyed it very much.response / report this review
