Service was excellent. My husband was provided some samples of draught beers before he picked one. The food was really good, and we left feeling very satisfied. We'd definitely cone here again.
The blackened chicken & bread pudding was good. My office & I had a great time there for our Christmas party. The team working there did a great job.
Great staff and wonderful service. The bartender was polite and attentive, our glasses were never empty for more than a second or two. There are tons of sites to see and visit in and around the area. Good food and great service! We will definitely be back again soon!
First time at this restaurant; came for happy hour. Got crispy chicken fingers and hard cider. Good prices, FRESH food, pretty fast. Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. Will visit againsoon!
Service, service, service. It drives the whole going out experience and the reason we're willing to pay the premium for the nicer spots. Blackfinn was once in that category, but no longer. We actually had to ask for a quick wipe to the table after it was cleared from the prior drinkers. Such a pain in the ass we are, I know. The food has potential still as the sliders were great, but unfortunately we won't be back.
The whole place needs a once over. The tables in the bar are permanently sticky.
The restaurant is is open till late which is a good point. Service was okay. Food came out pretty quickly. Ordered nachos like appetizer which was really good, the burger was fine.
Standard pub/American happy hour bar; nothing too special. Service can be slow, but that's probably because there are way too many people frequenting happy hour locations in downtown DC. Either that, or there are just way too many people in the DC area in general. Probably the latter.
Unique selection of food. Came on a Sunday night, not busy took forever to have order taken then food took a half hour to come. Very nice environment. Food tastes great but because the servers were so understaffed the food must've sat for a while Bc some of it came out cold. It also took FOREVER for us to get our check too. This restaurant has lots of potential but terrible service. Also servers are kind, just too busy and don't stop by enough.
I can't say anything bad about this place, is where I met my wife and where I watch my Northwestern Wildcats on Saturdays. Although the Saturday college football crowds get big, the staff seems to always keep up and keep the net pitchers full. Food ain't half bad either.
I'm a creature of habit and always get the same thing, but that same thing is great. The chicken parmesan sliders are a must, and their fries are well done, too. There was one time when my chicken tasted fishy but it was a to go order so I didn't notice it until I was home. I don't know how they would have reacted had a brought up the issue (I hate fish). You absolutely must get one of their desserts. The vanilla ice cream with cubes of cookie and brownie, whip cream, and caramel sauce is wonderful and if you get to go, it's a large portion.
Drinks are strong. Service a little slow. Seemed to be a friendly late night crowd when not much else was open.
Fish and chips was great. Even my friend who is a vegan found something good and satisfying. Waitress was extremely sweet as well
Great bartenders. 'Smalls' is the best, but you gotta like sarcasm. Chicken tacos and yin yang shrimp will keep you coming back. Come here to watch any game live.
A great Pub. The best parts are the owner and bartenders. Super nice, easy to talk to, but don't over burden you. The drinks are on point for a pub. I went with my wife for food, and the portions were huge, so that was an extra bonus. TVs everywhere for those who like sports, and sometimes other channels (music videos) for you and a date to generate conversation about. I will be back!
My experience was a unique one of being 12am on a Wednesday when there were max 3-10 other people at the bar. We came to here solely to get a beer and expected the kitchen to be closed, which is was (at 11pm I think). We ended up having a good, solid hour long conversation with the bar staff and bar manager, and they were also nice enough to change Pandora radio stations for us (but likely only because there were so few people there). Beer prices were pretty standard and didn't really get a chance to study the menu. Overall though, I'm giving it 5 because I see no reason not to return and maybe make it early enough to get some food next time.
