My indian friends don’t expect the taste to be an authentic indian taste coz, its modern adaptation of centuries old kitchen. That being said make sure u have a reservation before showing up at restaurant, or else u might have to sit at the bar. Elegantly decorated and upscale restaurant, great for business meetings for lunch & a date night for dinner. Lots of wine options. Could use a better service.

Worst dinner ever in my life. I had tried so many Indian restaurants, but this place food quantity was so low and not a great quality. Poor service. I just had a dinner and left from this place and writing review at the same time because of the worst food ever. They have so many reviews, I bet they all are fake.

It’s not about the money. It’s so stupid to go there and funny part you need a reservation. omg, this is crazy

Not recommended at all. Please don’t waste ur money

Food is delicious and service is consistent. If you can't get a reservation or want a quick meal, eat at the bar. Full menu and bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly.

If you like Indian food, then you should try Rasika. The Palaak Chaat salad, potato samosa and chicken tikka marsala are our favorite dishes. We try to stop here every time we are in town.

This place was super-hyped by friends and colleagues. I usually do not like Indian food at restaurants in US, since they don't make the ultimate use of spices that actually should go into food to maintain authenticity.
Well, food at Rasika impressed me and my fiance. I would recommend trying one of their fancy drinks named after common woman names in India. I would also recommend the goat-cheese naan for all the non-vegan folks out there!

I love this restaurant. Amazing food, stylish presentation, and a pleasant ambiance. Rasika offers creative, modern adaptations of Indian dishes. It is also surprisingly affordable: this is first-rate dining at an middling price. Entrees are less than $20 ($25 with tax and tip). If I lived in DC, I'd want to eat at Rasika every week.

What a great atmosphere. The decor is great and really adds to the experience. Our food was great, and the portion was plenty for a filling meal with some leftovers to bring home. The Korma was great, and the garlic naan is fantastic.

The reason for 3 stars is we waited 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table after being seated, and the server that did eventually come only stayed for part of our meal. This was again followed by no service for a bit until a very friendly server took over. This is unacceptable for an $80 meal.

In summary - great atmosphere and food, but on our visit the service was somewhat lacking.

This isn't your typical Indian restaurant. It's an excellent restaurant that just so happens to serve fine dining quality Indian food without the price tag. We got there early and took advantage of the pre- theater dinner menu, which included a choice of an appetizer, entree and dessert - fantastic deal for INCREDIBLE food. Two of the salmon pieces were just about the most perfectly cooked pieces of salmon we've ever had and beautifully seasoned. The cardamom vanilla ice cream with the honey soaked fried donuts and mango sauce was so good my husband wanted to lick the plate! Staff were pleasant and the ambience modern, hip and trendy.

I got lucky and was able to snag a reservation for lunch that someone had cancelled last minute and I was glad I did. The table we got in the back was very cozy, I loved the use of books in the decor. They had the restaurant week menu and everyone in our party of six ordered something different. The fish dishes particularly stood out. They were all perfectly cooked and well balanced, the other ingredients never overwhelmed the fish which can be hard to do with curry.
