Adorable setting. Gorgeous gardens. We stopped for a quick bite. The drinks were great. The Wild Blueberry Strudel was the best ever. It was almost $7 and after eating mine I went back to buy two more that's how amazing it was. If I'm ever in Big Sur again I'll be coming back.

Many People recommended this place to me so I had high expectations. Very nice ambiance appetizer was great but we waited way too long for a pizza (other table received theirs quickly) which could have been from Dominos - or a box from Ralph’s. Expected a ‘gourmet’ pizza and I️t was tomato sauce drowned in melted cheese. Not impressed at all.

This is a magical spot with beautiful food and warm service. Got there too early for dinner and just sat outside with some coffee to kill time. The wait was more than worth it an i would even say the wait outside enhanced the experience as it gives you time to let that Big Sur magic sink in. The bread and olives were excellent and the pizzas wonderful as well. They even gave us a few baked treats for the ride home that they had in the cafe. Hope the road gets fixed and the bakery and town get up and running again. Truly a wonderful place.

Nice for Lunch and Dinner. Very different menus for each. If you are are there for dinner late, you may get free leftover pastries.

This was on top of my list while I was down there as I read many articles that featured the restaurant. After a long drive on CA 1, we finally made it. I'm glad my friend spotted the sign as we had no cell phone service to GPS the location. The converted ranch house is charming. We were seated outside at a communal table, which was nice as it was shaded.
I ordered the avocado toast with goat cheese and honey. It also came with a salad. The meal was light and tasty, but the food is overpriced. Something I also did not care for was the fact that they allowed dogs. I prefer my food without dog hair.

We stopped here for lunch after getting frustrated with the insane parking situation at nepenthe. Happy with the decision. Yes the food is overpriced but expected in big Sur. I had a chicken salad sandwich on grilled sourdough, very good and huge- two could split it. Great drink and beer selection, service was good. The outdoor seating is a bit cramped but overall a charming little place. I would recommend a visit.
