This was a nice hotel . Clean rooms and a Denny's located right below. I was pleasantly surprised. The value of the room is good. They will board bags if you have a late flight. Very close to Universal Studios.
This Best Western is a great location for visiting Universal Studios. Easy access to the highway and surrounded by great restaurants. The hotel was quiet, clean, and we felt very safe. The Staff was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel.
Absolutely amazing hotel. Was my first time in LA and couldn't be happier with the service and this is coming from a true New Yorker. Room cleans, decor great and pool was just perfect. Denny diner right inside the hotel. Just perfect hotel.
I chose this hotel because it's convenient location off the freeway. I also got a 10% discount by registering online. It's close to many stores and restaurants. The check-in staff was professional, fast and friendly. The property is well maintained. The guest rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. I especially liked the lighted mirrors in the bathroom and in the vanity area. The express process was great! I'd definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Pros: Convenient location if you are going to be visiting Universal Studios or Hollywood attractions. Interior was newly renovated and decorated. Nice sized tv's with decent channels. A Denny's is on location which was convenient. Staff was friendly and courteous. Price was reasonable. AC/Heat worked great, beds were comfortable, and had ample mirror and counter space for getting ready as well as two sinks.
Cons: We had no hot water the first morning, likely due to it being a popular time to shower. We showered earlier the remaining days and didn't have any issues. No breakfast included, but having the Denny's on location was nice and the prices seemed average for Denny's.
We started at two Best Western Carriage Inns on this trip. This property was not able nice as the other. That said, the design of the grounds is pretty nice. It has a Spanish/California feel. The rooms are clean and pretty spacious. The price is very reasonable for the area. The location is convenient for Universal Studios. Parking was bad when we got back late, but we did find open stalls on the opposite side of the property. The stairwell in our wing smelled like someone urinated in it. Granted, not many people use the stairwell, but I did. And I would not want to become in there during a fire. The inside walkways do not feel air conditioned. Maybe they are, but I couldn't tell. That's how I got to four stars. Quite a few good points and a couple of cons. Bottom line: I would stay here again.
The room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable, but smaller than expected -- We were okay with that since we planned to be out most of the time. The bathroom ventilation fan did not appear to be working so the bathroom got a little smelly at times. We had to cut our stay short (from 3 nights to 2 nights) because one of us was not feeling well and we needed to go home. The hotel staff was very helpful with changing our reservation and not charging us for the extra (unused) night. We really appreciated that and will come back again soon!
The neighborhood has gone bad. Helicopters flying over, sirens, loud cars. Last night, at 1:05 in the morning we woke to Los Angeles police officers directly outside door screaming down the ground hands up, don't make me shoot you. officers with guns drawn and people on the ground and screaming and yelling and confusion followed for the next 45 minutes. No thank you. How about the security guard? How about a gate around the property in this dangerous neighborhood? How about $130 a night on hotwire! Horrible value and dangerous neighborhood. Will not return . Suggest you consider your safety and require a security guard, preferably armed to ensure your safety in this area.
The room is spacious with a king size bed. Nice tv set with decent channel selection. The bathroom is very nice, with the hot tub and the toilet in a separate room. Equipment looks all new.
Lots of parking. Very convenient location for Universal Studios Hollywood if you cannot afford north of $200 a night.
I stayed overnight arriving after work and leaving @ 5am. The check in was efficient and the staff were professional/friendly enough. Everything worked and except for the stained carpet the room was clean. I especially enjoyed the hot rain head shower! My bed was too soft, but I managed. If I were to stay longer, I would've asked for a different room with a firmer bed. Room was surprisingly quiet of street noise since it's on the main street. Overall good experience.
Nice people. Good service. I took 65 students and chaperons there. No problems at all!
Rooms were clean, they got maintenance there asap to a toilet issue and fixed, saved parking places for our 2 buses! Breakfast vouchers we fine to get kids off for the day! (Denny's eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage with milk or orange juice.)
I have stayed here several times and it is always a wonderful place to stay! Front desk staff was gracious and timely. Rooms are quiet, large, clean and tastefully decorated. Room service is offered by Denny's, which is located on the property. There is also a vending area for quick snacks and sodas. I always enjoy staying here.
