Nice bar - restaurant top floor! Lovely for brunch but make sure to have a reservation. Rooms are nice as well

Comfortable room and bed. We had a shared balcony/seating area which was nice and colorfully painted. Walkable to the LACMA.

The hotel lobby looked really nice. We ate at the rooftop bar but, didn't stay as a guest. The food was delicious and there were great views.

Great staff. Comfortable room. Cool rooftop restaurant, bar, lounge, pool. Pro tip: If you're arriving after 10:30pm on a weekday, don't plan on eating a late meal there. Kitchen closes at 10:30pm and there is nothing open in the area.

Love the hotel. It is in a great location to drive anywhere in the LA area. The staff even found out that it was my girlfriend's birthday and surprised her with a prosecco bar and a personal hand written note in our room after we checked in! Would definitely stay here again.

I visited California for the first time last summer and we stayed at this hotel. The room was amazing and all the staff was genuine & so so sweet. It happened to be my birthday when we came and they brought me this cute little tray with fruit & dessert. They were also very helpful when it came to what sightseeing tours to go on and what tourist attractions to go to. I hope to come back to Los Angeles for my senior trip and if I do, I will definitely try and stay here.

We stayed here in Aug 2016 on the last night of our honeymoon the staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing and made our last night one to remember. Even with a cute little personalized note with a hand drawn bride and groom. The extra touch was definitely noticed. Would highly recommend this hotel to anybody thinking of staying here.

Decided to stay here despite my better judgment from reading the many bad reviews. Only giving one star because that's the lowest I can give here. Easily the absolute worst experience I've had at a hotel, period. Worst hotel in LA. The general manager Jessica Rincón and her subordinate Cesar, charged me (400+ dollars) for damages I had nothing at all to do with. We had video evidence proving that we didn't cause any damage at all to their run down hotel, and they ignored that and maintained their false, baseless claims. Not to mention the hours we had to wait for the GM to even show her face. I've stayed at other Kimpton's previously and had a great experience, but this place has made me take them off my list for future travel. This manager needs to be terminated or at the very least retrained. I'm honestly amazed at how bad her (Jessica) service was, how do you hire such inept people to run a business? Do yourself a favor and scratch this place off your list. There's too many good hotels in LA to waste your money here.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Nice rooftop restaurant and bar. Suite was spacious and extremely clean. Valet parking staff courteous and efficient.

Visited The Roof bar/restaurant for a late lunch in a group of three on 1/16/17. We picked this place because we've previously enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our visit the other day was really disappointing. Service was so slow in between each and every server interaction, starting with us having to track someone down to be seated, and ending with us taking our card to the bar because no one came back to pick up the check. The food and drinks also seemed to be just okay, when usually they're delicious. Not sure if this was an off day because of a staffing issue or what, but we were pretty disappointed in our whole experience. We'll probably visit again, but it's not going to be our go-to any more.response / report this review -
