We were only passing through heading towards Florida but decided to get some rest. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Not a big variety in the breakfast but it filled us up. The lady in charge of the breakfast area was very accommodating and saw that my son wanted biscuits and gravy but they were out of biscuits mainly because we got down to the room just before breakfast ended. She asked my son what he would like and he told her "biscuits and gravy". She came out with a big plateful and he was happy. All in all, a good place to stop for the night.
The overall appearance of the hotel was great, it was very close in proximity to shops, and where I was vacationing. They also have great amenities: a spa/pool, fitness center and wifi. The only bad experience I encountered was on my last night. My family and I were leaving the pool area and two gentleman (who I assume were either property owners/cleaning staff) came in very abrasive and made my family feel uncomfortable. They seemed to look us up and down and when my husband went to retrieve our kids from the bathroom one of the gentlemen acted like he was bracing for an attack. I assume they were acting in this manner because we were black, but it made my family very uncomfortable and I hope no one else encounters this.
Ms. Sheryl the breakfast attendant made our stay better. She was customer driven and made sure my family had all we needed. Housekeeping needs work. Everyday we had to get 2 extra sets of towels because they would only put in 3. The reservation was for 5. Overall it was a good stay. Very convenient to shops, restaurants and the Macon Mall.
Very clean hotel, shower heads are very nice with different powerful settings. Large flat screen TV, good size fridge and freezer + microwave. Everything in perfect working order. Beds are decent for this road way traveler I was happy to have picked this BW out of any other choice between Atlanta and Macon. The staff was genuinely nice and accommodating, Shay was great and a huge asset to this hotel. Breakfast was very good biscuits and gravy were spectacular.
We were driving home to Indy from Orlando after a week at Disney. Nice hotel. Well kept and clean. Nice and friendly staff. Only complaint was a cheerleader group were also staying and were practicing outside in the parking lot outside our roombut we were so tired, we didnt really care. Breakfast was excellent!!
I was surprised by how nice this place is. This is an older hotel with outside entrances (the only drawback). As a female traveler I was very appreciative when Stephanie volunteered this information when I was making my reservation so I knew what to expect. The parking area was well lit and sheltered from the adjacent businesses so it felt very safe. The room was immaculate with comfy beds and nice pillows. The big bonus was the indoor pool and hot tub.
My stay was pleasant considering i was not able to obtain a room accommodated for wheelchair users due to all of them being booked. The front entrance to the lobby does not have automatic doors for people with limited mobility. Sidewalk ramps are only located in the front portion of the building where the lobby is located. Ramps would be advised to be installed on sides of the building so wheelchair users won't have to roll all the way around the building. The location is pet and service 🐕 dog friendly when booking a pet friendly room.
I meet my cousin in Macon about every 6 weeks or so, because it's our meet in the middle spot. We usually stay here. The remodel is lovely, I love the tile they used! And the adjustable shower head is the bomb! The breakfast is spot on! And they do a great job of refilling the pancake machine and keeping the rest of the trays refilled too. Everyone is pleasant, even the guy that cleans and doesn't speak English. I feel very safe staying here! Two women traveling have to be careful!
I didn't give 5 stars because some of the new carpet was installed badlyi.e. Fraying because it was cut too short and doesn't butt up to the tile.
Will be back next month!
I stay at this Best Western once a year on my way to Savannah. Awesome pillows and the rooms are super clean. Great night's sleep every time I stay!
Great stay last weekend. Staff was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Grounds were kept clean and the pool and hot tub were nice
With only one person at the counter it took me 45 min to check in. While Other in front of me were coming back time after time with keys that would not work. There is no elevator. Then in the morning 8am while I was eating breakfast a guy(cleaning guy) walked into the room without announcing himself. My wife and daughter were still in bed. He did not speak english. I went down to the front desk but all they had was sorry. I will never stay at a Best Western Inn again. I doubt they will post this.
This was one of my best stays. The front desk is very friendly, have free breakfast form 6am to 9am weekdays, rooms were clean with reasonable rates. Rooms are usually availabe but recommend booking for weekend stays.
Pet friendly rooms are clean and didn't smell with microwaves and fridge. Quiet even though close to the highway. Breakfast included real scrambled eggs and sausage biscuits. A bit higher priced than other nearby hotels, but the DOG fee was only $10. There is a VERY good Indian restaurant a couple of miles away.
