When we checked in, I looked closely at the sheets to make sure they were clean. The pillow cases were dirty and smelled like old drool! I have never had one of those "Dateline" type experiences before, and am apauled. Staff brought me clean sheets which I changed.no discount or apology. Would not recommend this place! Not what I would expect from my go to hotel chain!

Bed hard as a rock. Both wife and I tossed and turned. Staff was very nice and helpful though. Good breakfast. Nice shower pressure Actually very nice. Clean place that we inspected thoroughly for bed bugs as Macon hotels have quite the reputation for them. Bed bug reports is a website. Check it out. You're welcome. Deuces xoxo, Illinois

Room was good and bed was comfy. Check in was quick and receptionist was really nice. Breakfast was normal hotel fare. I was surprised at the tip jar. Never had that before at any hotel I've stayed in. Its not waitressing service so don't really think it's appropriate. But not a deal breaker and I would go back for future visits.

During our stay, we witnessed a cleanly atmosphere including our room to provide a relaxing environment during our travels. The parking was close to the door for beneficial access as we carried multiple bags in through the treacherous rainfall. The most memorable experience we encountered was our arrival to breakfast the next morning. We were surprised to see such a great variety of options including healthy and sweet treats. The staff was helpful in replenishing the breakfast items as they ran low and making sure the correct items were staying hot as expected. There was a large seating area for all to enjoy their breakfast. Overall, Holiday Inn Express did a terrific job of helping us to feel at ease during our travel.

The front desk staff were very nice. The breakfast was the same as it is at most holiday inn express hotels. Though I will say the food did seem a little more fresh at this location. The pool was clean for the most part. Small gym, two treadmills, exercise bike, universal weight machine, dumbbells, and a few other items. The guy gym was clean with towels and a tv. I did like the business center very nicely put together.

Negative: bathroom cleanliness found long hair on the mirror. I am bald so likely it was not mine. When flushing toilet rear water tank shot water all over the bathroom floor. Fixtures had rusty on them as the exhaust vent was not operating. One of the lamps in my room sounded as though it were going to catch on fire. Electrical sockets were not properly installed they would sink below the sheet rock.

Overall not a bad experience. Few things to be worked on, that would absolutely improve my rating for this location.

Excellent front desk service. Beds were comfortable enough. Building felt very secure and safe. No fan in the bathroom though and breakfast was pretty mediocre. But other than that, no real reason why you shouldn't stay here.

Good beds. Outdoor pool only. Customer service lacking. Had tv issue in room, and took over an hour to get someone to check it out, then another 1 1/2 hours to resolve issue, as he had to wait on Supervisor to fix the problem. She was the only one that knew how to fix problem, and she wasn't responding to the person that had came to fix issue originally. No apology given or anything. I just wanted to relax and couldn't!

We spent less than 12 hours at this hotel to sleep in the middle of a long road trip, The hotel was clean and nice, BUT I would not stay here (or in this area) again for security reasons.

My first clue should have been when we called a local pizza place for delivery and was told that they "no longer deliver there since the shooting of a pizza delivery guy." We were traveling with our camper and parked in a well lit location on the lot that could be seen from our room. Although we did not notice any problems upon loading our car in the morning, once we arrived at our destination eight hours later we discovered that our luggage had been stolen from our camper overnight.

As Platinum Ellie member, and seeing 5 cars in the parking lot,I asked about an upgrade. The guy at the desk told me the system usually automatically does the upgrades. I asked if that means there were no upgraded rooms available. He repeated himself, not answering my question. I asked if he could check, he said the system usually signs them so he figures they must not be any available. I asked if that meant they were sold out of suites, he said that he guessed so. Did he not know how to check what is available?

Turned on the A/C unit and black stuff came out.

    Won't stay here again.

Hotel was older, but still nice. Staff seemed nonchalant about its guests. The stay at this hotel gets a rating of O.K. from me

    This. Stay. Was. Awesome!
The new building was beautiful, room was a king size bed and perfectly accommodating with a nice coffee machine to mouthwash.

An employee from there named Cedric really set the tone as he went above and beyond, helping myself and another stranger to the point that I later will call and ask how I can praise his incredible efforts in a more practical way.
