I will not stay at Best Western Riverside Macon. Ga again. Over the years I would stay there while doing genealogy research. I had a wonderful experience with the front desk.
I called and made reservations for a room with walk -in shower. I have been fighting multiple myeloma for 5 years and this is my first road trip in a car. The front desk told my husband I did not tell them we had a dog and we had to stay in a room reserved for dogs without a walk-in shower. The room was in the back of the hotel and it was so small I could not use my walker in the room. The bathroom was so small the only way I could close the bathroom door was to step to one side. I was so tired I went to bed with out a bath. I had made reservations two nights and it was my mistake not to leave the next morning. When I approached the desk, the clerk informed me that I had not told them about my 20- pound cockerpoo yet my husband told her when we checked in and paid the 20.00 per night. She was very rude and I told her I have travel gift cards. She keyed in the numbers and said they were disabled and she didn’t know why. She finally offered to give me a 16.00 discount 0n a 232.00 bill. I paid with my credit card.
I next stop was Best Western in Athens. I ask the clerk to check my travel cards and she said they were disabled. She offered to call the main office and found out my cards were good and all she had to do was call they would approve them. We got a walk-in shower and cheaper than Macon.response / report this review -

While I can tell that the hotel staff and owners are trying very hard, I will never stay here again. The hallway smelled, it was in a sketchy part of town, has a pretty rough bar in the front parking lot, and the room was not very clean. Worse part of all when I was getting ready in the morning a roach crawled across the bathroom sink. YUCK! I could not get my family out of their fast enough.

Very friendly and gave us a good rate! Lounge next door has karaoke and live music depending on the night. Met Robert Lee Coleman who use to play for James Brown and Percy Sledge. His band plays live on certain nights. Room was clean and quiet. Can't ask for much more!

Very good location. The room was on the back side away from the street noise and all rooms were close to exits for easy when loading or unloading luggage. Beds we ok but not as comfortable as I am use to at a Best Western but doable. Breakfast was really good. I had scrambled eggs, a bisquit with gravy and link sausage. Coffee was pretty good also.

The staff were friendly and caring and the property and room was clean. Breakfast had a great variety. I can't say enough good things about how friendly the staff members were. The price was more than reasonable. Overall, a flawless stay without any problems.

The rooms are nice and clean. Even the bathroom is clean. The rooms I stayed in appears to have been updated recently. Nice comfy bed. And it is quiet here. I would recommend staying here.

Two story hotel with NO ELEVATOR. They should let people know that before they make reservations. No staff there to help get your luggage up stairs. Also, requested non smoking room, could smell smoke when I entered room. Then found ash tray in room. Told front desk & she said they just recently converted into a non-smoking room and she would remind cleaning staff to remove ashtray!

My parents and I stayed here for 4 nights for our JW regional convention. The hotel room was clean and well kept. The free breakfast was plentiful and well stocked. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. We notified them of a bad toilet valve in our room and the problem was rectified that same day. The hotel is in a great location, near restaurants and grocery stores. I would definitely recommend and most definitely would stay again at the Best Western Riverside in the future.

Wife and I traveled to Macon for my business and her a little time away from home and enjoyed ourselves. We stayed for two nights. The room was updated and my wife commented on the bed being as soft as ours at home was. I put some leftover food in the mini-fridge after dinner the first night that I had at work the second day. That was very convenient. The pool and lounge on premises were great additions as well. Wes and Benita were very kind and helpful throughout our stay and all hotel personnel were friendly and offered a smile. I didn't personally go into the breakfast area but my wife did and brought me coffee and food as I readied for work--we enjoyed the convenience during our stay. Thank you--I come down every couple of months and will stay there again.

Nice and clean place. Staff at check in very friendly. Bed was too hard for me but that's just me. Breakfast is just ok but satisfying. I have stayed here twice while in town for medical reasons and would stay again. Internet kinda slow.

We enjoy our stay everytime! Staff is friendly & very helpful. Love the free breakfast! Rooms are always clean and easily accessible to the pool/patio and parking. Will be back soon!
