Cozy, charming, comfortable! Perfect location. Room 303 was our room and we'll ask for it next time, because I love that I can see the beach! Great staff too. Love this place!

Our family booked several rooms because of the proximity to a wedding we were holding at the Marina Park Event Center. Any reservations I had about the hotel were diminished with my first phone call. After several calls thereafter I realized it didn’t matter who I spoke to, as every employee went out of their way to assist me, regardless of the request. Upon arrival, we received the same extraordinary customer service. Every person in our large party had the same pleasant encounters. The suites were perfectly suited for our wedding prep needs and the single rooms were very comfortable. The free breakfast was extensive and it didn’t matter that the breakfast room was small, since the rooftop seating was to die for with a 360 degree view of gorgeous scenery. We will be back.

Warren, Donna, Ralph and ALL of the housekeeping staff are to be rewarded 5 stars.

    It is always the same
Same great people, same great housekeeping, freshly baked cookies everyday . Free movies for checkout. Free breakfast daily. No need to bring or buy beach supplies. Towels, beach umbrellas, boogie boards and beach chairs as well as sand toys, are provided. It is not a resort, but good old fashioned hospitality. We are looking forward to next year at Bay Shores.

A perfect little beach hotel! Bay Shores Peninsula is conveniently located 1 block from the beach, close to restaurants and the pier. It's an older building (small rooms, old-style elevator with accordion door), but is very nicely updated and well maintained. The thoughtful amenities, cosy vibe, and friendly personal guest services made our stay quite comfortable. The rooftop deck offers great views of the ocean and the inlet. We will definitely come back next time we're in Newport Beach.

Love, love, loved this adorable hotel with such close proximity to the beach! We happened upon this hotel as a last minute adventure, took a chance on it, and were certainly glad that we did! The atmosphere, decor, cleanliness, breakfast, and most of all, the friendliness of the staff were top notch! We will definitely be back! ❤️🏖🌊🌅🔆❤️

It was my first time in the Newport Beach area, and I had one night to stay after a business meeting. I desperately wanted to stay within walking distance to the beach, but there aren't many chain hotels in the immediate area. Being a loyal Marriott guy, I would have been stuck staying closer to the airport or Irvine. So, I decided to escape my comfort zone and take a stab at the Bay Shore Hotel. I was very surprised with the friendly check-in process (Donna) and the amenities offered, like beach toys, etc. The room was nice and clean, and I was very comfortable. I highly urge any of those who are traveling for work to take a chance on this place. I know it's tough missing out on those Marriott points/stays, but it will be worth it to spend the evening on the beach.

The best customer service from the time you arrive until the time you leave. I'm so happy with the team here and the views. Parking is a pain but they made it work. I will stay here again! View from the top deck was well worth it and you're on the beach. How much closer can you get?

Stayed three nights. One block to beach and nice boardwalk. Friendly and helpful staff pushing home baked cookies on you, so expect to gain weight ;) You can rent dvds and they will pop popcorn for you. Town is small and not super interesting, but beach walking was nice and there are plenty vacation rentals to admire on the beach. Breakfast was not my favourite, with mainly starchy and sugary foods. There were hard boiled eggs though.

This is one of the best small hotels that I have ever stayed at. The rooms are comfortable and, as someone else has said, like your bedroom at home. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is abundant and excellent. Cozy and warm would be two words that best describe Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel.

This place was passed over by time. You walk into a lobby with fresh baked cookies. The two owners give you a welcome card and a tour. The place is spotless and like a beautiful home atmosphere. The rooms are like bedrooms not hotel rooms. The beds are so comfortable if you lay down your gonna take a nap. The forth floor is an open area to watch the sunset or sunrise or just chill. They have free DVD's but who needs that your within walking distance of town shopping and the best restaurants in Newport. They have free beach toys; chairs boogie boards everything a local would use at your disposal. Your minutes away from the best beaches in Southern California. Don't waste your money thinking more stars on a hotel will be better. I never do less than 4 stars normally but this is now my favorite getaway hotel in the world. I guarantee it!
