I was up all night with my almost 2 year old who was running a fever and throwing up. Once I noticed at 4am that the left side of her face was swollen we decided to go to the ER. I always go to Phoenix Children’s but because I was so tired and didn’t want to drive that far I decided to come here.. such a huge mistake. It is 11am and I am just now being discharged with no real answers and a doctor who said my daughters face wasn’t really swollen YES her face is swollen I can see it. Do you think I would waste my time and money if it wasn’t? Basically I was told to follow up with her PCP but besides the fact that my daughter isn’t any better and we have no answers.. the ER doctor, Dr. Zarrinkelk has horrible bedside manner and really shouldn’t have become a doctor at all. We were waiting on my daughters urine test results for hours and when we asked if they had received them the nurses were like “oh yeah they’re right here” okay thanks. Didn’t even give us the results but said we were free to leave and it would just take a few minutes for the paperwork. Well an hour later we walked out ready to go and told the Dr that we were told it would only take a few minutes to be discharged. Dr. Zarrinkelk’s response was “do you see that all the nurses are busy (pointing around the room), all the rooms are full, unfortunately you’re just going to have to wait until we get to you. Are you kidding me?! The nurses were clearly not busy but back to our room we went.. 20 minutes later a nurse comes to clean our room and says oh I’m sorry I thought you guys were discharged. After we told her we had been waiting for hours she said well let me see what I can do for you.. TWO minutes later she comes with our discharge paperwork!!! Again are you kidding me?! It was just sitting there and I think because we were being impatient the doctor and nurses didn’t care if we waited.. well I’m sorry but it is now noon and I have been up with a sick baby all night! I would like to get home so we can get some rest. Again.. some doctors should not be doctors. I will make the drive to Phoenix Children’s from now on.

It was an awesome experience having our baby boy born here recently. The staff was incredibly helpful and caring. Thank you for all you do.

Amazing staff made me feel very welcome and took care of me to the best of their ability. Not too impressed with some of the timing estimates as they were often underestimated or took twice as long as we were told. Otherwise everyone was very friendly and helpful with treating me for multiple issues over the last few months and with the birth of my baby. Very impressed with how they handled most of my questions and even offered pamphlets if they couldn't find an answer/ if I had more questions than they could answer at the moment and offered AMAZING recommendations for doctors when I asked them to. Definetly much better than experiences I've had with hospitals in the past as they actually took the time to answer my many questions and explain my medication to me.

Brought my mother in for UTI, the nurses kept trying to get her into bed. My mother is scheduled for hip replacement in 10 days and cannot get in bed. Must stay in wheelchair. Then they started treating my mother like she was a burden. Unacceptable. Complete attitudes. I suggest you check Cheryl longs chart for the name of her nurses and then have a long discussion. I'm very disappointed today. Never have been in the past.

I sit here reading bad reviews in shock and awe. I ended up in this hospital after the paramedics took me from a 911 call. I had a blood clot in my lung. The nurses were amazing made me feel at ease and like a king. The doctors were caring and personalized my whole visit. No-one was ever rude or made me feel uncomfortable. I've only been to the hospital 3 times in my life time and I was humbled by the visit. I wish I could do more for their nurses and staff. Thank You for your hospitality, and help.

I had my son there 9 years ago, NICU was the best, every nurse that was in there was right up on my baby. They even took a pic of him for me because I could not get out of bed. After I got to take him home, I donated a lot to the NICU for the other babies. I would love to talk to the nurses that where there on the day of 10_23_07. God bless you all

This hospital used to be nice clean and safe with caring staff. Now is dirty and things are falling apart the rooms are full of things that are out dated and not in use, the workers are careless but I'm sure they are over worked due to the hospital being under staffed. It's sad because I cannot leave my loved one here with these people who do not care, I have to be here to make sure they do their job.

Worst experience. I was there 5 hours. The first nurse scoffed and slammed down urine collector on tab and huffed out when I said I couldn't go yet. None of the nurses spoke to me when they came in the room. They just went about their business. The one that gave me an IV said " I have to give you an IV." that was it. It was cold. Not one hello.. very bizarre experience.

Service was beyond expectations. From the moment I checked in to the moment I was discharged personal was efficient, friendly, helpful, and truly cared about my needs. The hospital is clean and very modern. I've never been so relaxed at a hospital. The food is excellent and the rooms are very quiet. I would recommend this hospital 100%.

I am 37 weeks pregnant came to the er for shortness of breath and dizziness. I've been sitting in the bed for 3 and half hours no nurses came to check on me, they didn't monitor my son one bit. The doctor came in twice over the 3 hours. They had people crying In the hall way. They told me they believe I had a blood clot in my lungs but didn't rush to get anything done. I will never come here again or deliver my son here.

I have been to banner Estrella many times and let me tell you, this hospital has really gone down hill since the last time I had a child. They made having a baby an absolute nightmare this time, don't think I will ever come back. I can't believe that the service fell so far in only a year and a half, since I have been there last. The staff was rude and in cooperative. The employees, especially the nurses used to be great people, but now they don't even act human, they are like robots and leave the patient feeling unimportant a d without hope. Having a baby is supposed to be a pleasant experience, like it was with my first, but the staff at banner Estrella left me and my wife running for the door. When we were finally allowed to go that is They made sure to drag on this suffering aswell

Our toddler was having difficulties breathing and we took her to Banner Estrella ER. From the moment we got there we were treated very well. The front desk staff was kind, we got in quick, the doctors, nurses, X-ray techs and respiratory therapists we saw were very sympathetic and helped figure out our toddler's problem. We were impressed with how quickly everyone worked to help us and we felt at ease during this stressful time. Thank you!

My experience was good they helped me in everything . The only thing that they got wrong was i asked for my doctors note and excuse for my job . I really need that note for my job so I won't get fired. They told me they would give me one . And I never did I had to go get my prescription and see my dentist that same day . But I never got my doctors note and now it's impossible to try to get it what can I do so I won't get fired.

This hospital was the WORST that I have ever been to in Phoenix. My husband was feeling ill in the middle of the night so we went there because it was closest to us. We arrived at 1:30 am and by 4:40 am he still hadn't been seen. He almost passed out twice sitting in the waiting room..smh! Long story short we just ended up leaving to go be seen somewhere else. If your really sick and need to be seen promptly this is not the hospital you need to go to PERIOD! I wish I could tell you about the DR's but we never got a chance to see one. We will NEVER go back there again.
