Very grateful for the excellent care I received after having surgery. The OR and ICU staff gave me the best care I could have asked for! Exceeded my expectations and I was very nervous about having the surgical procedure.
Before Dec 4th I had a different review on this sight. However after having an Emergency C-section to bring my little girl in this world, I have no choice but to change my review. The Labor and Delivery staff were AMAZING.I was terrified when I was told I needed a C-section. The staff calmed me down and basically told me everything was going to be fine, and it was. The recovery and the stay were even better. The staff was nice and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend and come back to have my next baby at this hospital.
Not too long ago my husband had an accident at home that left him with his fingertip nearly amputated. We went to the ER at Arrowhead Hospital and he was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. The physician on staff that night was very sympathetic to my husband's injury, but also joked with him and tried to distract him. The tech on duty that night, Tyler, was so gentle with my husband's hand. He was very careful when they had to position the hand to try to clean it up, and he was very gently when it needed to be wrapped up. Rob in X-Ray was awesome as well. He was very thorough and told my husband step by step what he was doing. The staff at Arrowhead are amazing. I will come here for anything needed in the future.
My father Bruce C. has been in arrowhead hospital for three days now with gallbladder infection. He is 92 and the staff have treated him like royalty! Very patient, gentle, caring and respectful. The staff on the third floor are especially great. In particular Heather. Every time I asked for an explanation or clearification she spent as much time with me as was needed to help me understand. Dad liked her very much, she was so patient with him and made sure he understood all that she was doing for him. Thank you Heather for making his stay as pleasant as possible. We need more angels like you.
Took my wife in to the ED and had a wonderful experience. In and seen within minutes. Great nurse's. Very kind and compassionate. If I ever need a hospital this is where I will go.
Back in 2003 I had a renal exploratory surgery at this hospital because I had some renal cysts on my kidney. The urologist recommend this hospital long story short I wake up without my left kidney 3 days later here comes the urologist in the room with a 6 foot four male intern and tells me that the pathology report was in and there was no cancer on my kidney. He pulled a pink functioning kidney out of my body. Then two weeks later I'm suing him for malpractice and gets another pathologist to talk to the pathologist and he recants and adds another diagnosis to the original report saying he did not know this kind of cancer existed. What a crime and they got away with it. Stay away from this hospital I'm warning you.
I hate this hospital! Every time I've gone in there I get the worst treatment ever. Nurses are nice but my god the ER DR? Makes me wonder if the even went to med school. I went in today for high blood sugar 394! I'm type one diabetic, all they did was give me IV, took blood test and discharge me, and told me to follow up with my Dr. Even though I was very dizzy, blurry vision. They didn't even bother to try and bring my blood sugar down. Very disappointed as always. Even the nurse was shocked when he told her I was being discharge. They didn't even bother calling my Dr.
Worst experience at a hospital or ER, ever! My pain goes beyond a google review, but I did also feel it necessary to leave a review here. My entire experience at the ER with my 5 month old son was awful. Most of the staff seemed uncaring- with the exception of a few nurses. The MD and PA who "saw" my son were not only incompetent but they had horrible bedside manner. They never took into consideration how horrible it is for a mother to see her baby in the ER, they acted coldly and rude. In addition, they subject him to procedures that weren't even needed nor were they equipped to handle. after several hours I was discharged with no answers. They didn't care, they were rude, and they did not provide proper care.
I am writing this regarding my husband Joe's care. He had surgery on Tuesday and only spent the night thank goodness. The admission person and Oregon nurses were great. Also the volunteers at the post of waiting room desk were very helpful. Then he was moved to his room. When I went up to see him the bed was a mess blankets from post op still on him and the covers were not straightened. I asked if he could have some water I knew he could but was told by the nursing assistant only the nurse could clear she made no attempt to find the nurse we were told she had come on shift early. A nurse came in the room I asked if he was my husbands nurse and was rudely told he was not he was for the roommate and going off shift in ten minutes. Then the IV started beeping called the nurse she came and fixed it still no water.
It beeped two more times during the forty five minutes I was there. He finally got some water
I was told delay because of shift change sorry that's not a good excuse My husband was out of it due to the medication from anesthesia. What happens to the patients who have no one there for them? He called me the next morning and said his night nurse was great. He asked the nursing assistant if he could go for a walk around 4:30am as of 8:30am he was still waiting, He did say his breakfast was good. I came to get him around 11am and the assistant and nurse were very helpful and kind. Please do not say you are striving for better care. Care starts with the staff and their attitude which some really need an adjustment. This was our first time at Arrowhead and if we have our way the last. Cathy
I took my son to the emergency as he fell off the scooter and that time I didn't have the insurance handy. So, I paid on my own. I was charged $500+ I sent the receipts to my insurance co for reimbursement but the receipt did not have any details on it. So, they asked for itemized receipt. I have been following up for a month (called 8 times so far) with the hospital business office but every time they say it is been mailed but I did not receive it so far. Now I got an answer saying it will be faxed but yet to receive that as well. I called again today and wait till Monday for the fax. Not sure if ever I will get the itemized bill for reimbursement. It is very frustrating to keep calling the call center and explaining them again and again.
My husband and I went in today to take a look at registering in the labor and delivery for the birth of our upcoming 2nd baby. I will say I just stopped in #1 nobody could tell us what we would have to do to register so that would be a problem. However, we both agreed on one thing, the ambiance of the place was not only creepy but it was dirty, smelled like urine and a hospice mortuary mix. Also seemed like they don't take security as serious as other hospitals as the nursery area had 3 newborns and there was no nursea or anyone in the room with them the second time as we were walking out, then the nurse rushed back in so there was only one but she must have left to go do something quickly before returning which to me is completely horrifying as a parent. Couldn't wait to leave and I will definitely not be birthing at this facility.
The nursing staff has such an amazing staff, that i was completely blown away. They talked so well about each other, they all worked amazingly together, they were super happy, very informative, super easy to work with, very caring, very sweet, and just over all not one complaint! Best experience i have ever had with a delivery, stay, and everything else. The entire staff, along with the Dr's make a huge impact on lives and mine was very well impacked. I am still so amazed. This place sure did help me. With this experience, i will carry with me for life. Thank you everyone!
This is our 2nd visit to this wonderful emergency room the staff is so friendly and caring. It's a very clean place. I'm so impressed!!! Thank you very much to all of you for being so knowledgeable and treat my son injury so professional.
An absolutely horrible experience here for a false labor. Thankfully I switched hospitals -and even obstetricians because I was so frustrated by my experience here. (If you desire natural childbirth this is NOT the place.) The nurse assigned to me at Arrowhead was rude and condescending and even now, 6 months later, I'm dealing with the nightmare that is their billing department. I've made three calls to get an itemized bill which never arrives. Yet their bills threatening collections arrive with no problem. I was charged an outrageous amount for sitting on a fetal monitor for 2 hours yet no one will provide a justification for the charges.
Great experiences here over the time of the birth of our son. Care was exceptional. The nurses and staff are friendly and so helpful. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the facility is a little sub par. Had our first baby at Del Web Hospital and their facilities are newer and nicer. No complaints though. Would come back here again.
