I give this 3 star. Witch is hard because i work in health care. Although staff was always willing to help but we had to chase the help down first. We were there 12/15/17 My 75yr old aunt fell and broke her arm. 3&1/2 hour wait before even being called back for any kind of pain relief. She was not the only one. Many people in what seemed like agony and in excruciating pain. My aunt cried and cried and hollered out a few times I apologized for her and explain to them she has dementia. I gave her my scarf to wipe her tears and blow her nose. I asked for tissue and they said they will get us some. No one ever came with anything so she can wipe her face. Then when we do get back to a room in ER it was another 2 hour wait before any X-ray pain meds. I had to put my own aunt on a bed pan and then clean her. Absolutely not ONE pillow in the entire hospital. Not even when she was admitted and had her own room. It was exactly like I was watching a horrible movie. Now with that said I was extremely polite to to the staff. It’s not there fault. However the bedside manner with most aids and nurses could definitely use some improvement. 3rd floor 3 difference nurses rolled their eyes when I asked for a straw a straw for a old dementia lady who was thirsty. Unbelievable. I felt so bad for the understaffing and the manners of the nurses. The aids were the Most Polite always apologizing and doing the best they can. Sad to see this hospital used to be the absolutely best💔

Don't go! I use to work there. The Nurses make fun of the patients. The doctors dick around and harass employees. They OVERCHARGE for procedures. The observation unit is a TOTAL FRAUD! They charge you $1000 to sit in a room until you go somewhere else! You literally just sit there and pay them $1000. It's a total scam. Go elsewhere!

Went to Ob Triage 12/14 around 12p to get checked out, Tech sitting at desk did not bother looking up and rudely asked what I was there for. She made me feel very unwelcome and as though I was an inconvenience. I completed my registration and was told to wait for the tech to room me, waiting was not the issue, the fact that my husband and I just stood in the middle of the hall without her acknowledging us (again, just staring down) until she was done with whatever she was doing is . A little communication goes a long way, something she should definitely work on.

The nurse I had, I believe her name was Jodie, was very thorough and helpful. She made me feel at ease and let me know what was going.

I had a very good time there they were prompt on seeing me. Every one cared about me and how I felt. They took the time to listen to me. Now, the ER was rough. But I believe it seemed a long time because I felt so bad and didn't know what was happening to me. The kitchen associates also took the time to explain to me just what I was able to eat and why. The staff that handles the booklets and it's forms need to be a little more interactive so that the patient or they fill out the information (by what the patient says) so that the patient DOES know what the booklet entails.

We love this er. It is a long wait but you will be cared for by the best doctors and greatest staff! All my babies were born here and now my family is continuing the tradition. We love Thunderbird for their great staff and we love the hospital in general. I would never trust my family's life in any other hospitals hands. Banner is known for amazing growth doctors that care.

Being from out of state and having a medical emergency is scary enough. Unfortunately I had to be admitted to this hospital three times for the same issue that is still a mystery. I'm a retired nurse, in fact I was a nurse manager at a level 1 trauma center and I have never been treated worse. The ED is subpar. I had a fall risk on my bracket, they made me go to the rest room unattended and I fell, strike one. My husband had to "paint the scenario" to the ED doctor to get me admitted, strike two. My floor doctor was rude, condecending, uncaring, and actually combative with me and I assume that it's because she is in over her head. I know that when I return to my home state my medical needs will be attended to professionally by real doctors that actually care. Oh and since I fell under Banners care the legal aspects of "negligence" will be attended to as well. Stay away from this hospital at all costs and that is a professional opinion.

When I arrived at 7:30 in the morning there was no one in the waiting room. They got me right back which I was impressed with. They were very kind about that. When I went into the back after getting all checked in there was only two other people in rooms. It took four hours to get an x-ray, a shot for inflammation, and pain pills. My largest issue with them is after I told them I could not have Percocet that is exactly what they gave me for my pain. I threw up all the way home and have been nauseous ever since. Paying attention to your patients drug allergies should be of your utmost concern. I will never go back to Thunderbird Hospital again.

I went to the emergency room last night and I was placed in the hall because it was busy. I have to say that this was the best emergency room I've ever been to. It was extremely busy but my nurse Bridget in the blue hall was so amazing! She was sweet and is excellent at her job. By far the best ER nurse I've ever met. She actually does her job well and cares about your well being. My doctor on duty was Samuel Johnson. He was super sweet and funny. He saw that I was anxious and worried and he kept me laughing.
I do say, the workers at the check in need to be more friendly! Over all an amazing emergency room.

Great experience! The staff was caring and thorough! Very attentive and patient (no pun intended). The nurse Krista took amazing care of my wife! Dr. Johnson was very informative and straight to the point. Definitely recommend here over Honor Health.

If I could give them no stars I would. My doctor sent me over for tests, and the er staff treated me like I didn't need to be there. The doctors are rude and your lucky if you get to see them. Usually its just a pa. Nurses are never around. Never felt so unwelcome in my life.

Beautiful service taken my daughter there when she was only a month and half old due to she stopped drinking formula so doesn't get dehydrated they were prompt and attentive along side caring enough about the new mothers emotional condition and built up stress. Checked up on time, promptly answered to when ever and what ever called for. Couldn't have asked for anything better. My experience at this hospital was just wonderful. Than you all who helped me and my daughter there with such love and care.

Unbelievable! Worst health care experience of my life. (I am not the type to write reviews, but I am furious) My daughter was having serious internal pain. We arrived in the ER at 1:30 in the morning. We were finally admitted to the ER at 4. Then we were told we had to wait for for the doctor to see three other patients. We could hear the nurses and doctors communicating amongst themselves right beyond our waiting room. The level of incompetence was astonishing. (I have seen third world health care clinics opererate with more efficiency and professionalism). We decided to leave after waiting all that time to go to another hospital. My daughter became extremely uncomfortable after hearing the Doctors talking amongst themselves.

One of my children was born at Thunderbird Hospital. I cannot believe how it has gone downhill. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS HOSPITAL! Drive to anyplace but here.

Would give 0 stars if it were an option. My husband was admitted this morning at 3 in excruciating back pain, had vitals checked within 5 minutes which is good except he wasn't acknowledged again for 3 hours all while barely being able to breathe. On top of that he was completely disregarded and disrespected by every member of that staff that he came into contact with. This is the worst hospital that my tax paying, employer-based(not accchs) insurance paying family has ever encountered. I will do everything in my power to see to it that my family, friends, co-workers and review readers never have to deal with this so-called hospital in the future.

Dr's were great! Nurse Judy and her aid Monica on the third floor were absolutely wonderful. Can't say that about the aids at the nurses station! They were rude and unprofessional. Lack of communication skills and team effort! Banner should be more selective when hiring, and offer continued training throughout their employment!
