A fabulous property smack dab in the middle of Brooklyn. So modern and cool. Good amenities, very comfortable rooms with upscale touches all around. 5 stars for me!

Stayed here for two nights. Great service, cozy rooms. The hotel is very Brooklyn means you have very little space in your room, but it’s ok. You’ll love it if you decide to stay here. I liked the lobby the most: a fireplace, pool table and a DJ was playing on Friday evening (pic attached). Recommended.

I waited 45 min to check at midnight b/c they said my card was declined-impossible I think I know I made a deposit. Lo and behold the hotel had a pending charge of $ 700+ on my card from the previous day-that's why it would not go through. I showed them charge to woman at desk and she says she can't find it on her computer. Soo they're trying to charge me 2x and I haven't checked in! But somehow I'm wrong because she can't see on her screen never mind it's on my debit card. Ugh. She proceeds to call their merchant to resolve the issue -I'm melting from exhaustion. No water offered, no upgrade lots of excuses. She says we didn't have a card on file for you-obviously you did because the charge is on my card. When they finally figure it out after I push her to admit that the wait was wrong and it was their mistake -pulling teeth here. She gives me the key and here I am typing at 1am. Awful

Nice, trendy hotel. The room is very clean. The beds were a little firm for my taste. The pillows were not comfortable at all. The location is perfect. Parking was quite expensive, but this is New York City so it's expected. Don't park at the garage they suggest. Use the garage across the street. The attendants there are much nicer than the ones at 388.

I did not stay in the hotel, this is a review for the Kimoto Bar on the roof. It's a cool place. Most cocktails are about $10, but that's pretty standard. The view is great, but the outdoor space is a bit small. A third of it is taken up by the smoking area but it's still a great corner! Would come back.

I enjoy the Aloft. I've been staying here for about 3 years. It's very quick to check-in and get situated. The location is great, there are many places to eat around the area now. It's walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge and waterfront. Service has always been good with polite workers.

Fun hotel in a good location. The rooms are pretty small. Pretty much only had space to walk around the bed. The outdoor sitting area (near the gym and lol shared with the hotel next door) was right by AC vents so it was too hot to sit like we wanted. The rooftop bar was extremeness busy with people from the neighborhood so not exactly encouraged to come back as a guest. But it was very hip looking, and if nothing else, the location makes it worth it if you've got stuff to do in Manhattan or the surrounding area.

Cool hotel but not up to my expectations. They did not refill the water at the front desk or have cups available. Our carpet had a disgusting stain in a very obvious place. The room was modern and cool but the service was lacking. Not terrible but not what I expected.

Aloft is a decent cheaper boutique hotel. Rooms have just about everything you need; comfortable bed, wifi, large TV, shower (only), mini fridge. Though if you're not traveling alone storage space might be a bit lacking. The only thing missing, for me at least, is a microwave. Not the end of the world but it would be nice to have when staying for a few days. Bar area in lobby is a bit tiny but the bartenders have been nice. Room service has improved since my last trip here. It's an Italian restaurant now instead of maxican. Food is decent but nothing to rave about. Overall would, and will, stay again.

Great value for a cool atmosphere. Secret benefit is that they let you bring our dog at no additional charge with us which makes a trip into the city so much easier.

Update: the fire alarm went off again, at 4 in the morning. They made an announcement this time, saying it wasn't a fire, but it went on for about 20 minutes. When I went down in the morning, they gave the person before me in the elevator a lackluster insincere apology, so I complained about both incidents. I was told the manager would get in touch with me, but it's been 24 hours since and I haven't heard from them.

The ethernet cable provided is broken. The plug on the phone has a broken latch so it pulls out very easily. The fire alarm went off and the hotel was evacuated. We couldn't go back in. I left the area for a while and eventually called to ask if the hotel was okay and if I'd be able to return, because they never contacted me to tell me things were okay. The person on the phone denied the fire alarm had even gone off.

We had multiple issues with our stay. When we arrived, we could not use our credit card to check in despite calling ahead to resolve any issues before we arrived. Finally we were able to get up to our room. The elevators and hallways we're dark, with the hallways having tight turns and spaces. The couch in our room was run down, and we could hear the elevators moving up and down whenever we are in the room. The ac/heating was very sporadic and unreliable. At one point, the cover on the ac/heating unit fell off. My coworker, who was rooming with me, also noticed mold in the shower. As a positive, we ordered room service and it did arrive quickly and was good. Once we sat down to eat though, we realized we had 2 desks with 1 chair in the room, so that wasn't ideal given how small the rooms are.
