I just wanted to Express my utmost gratitude and thanks to the ICU
nurse Jamey (hope I spelled it right). She was a God sent to my mom and our family! She took the time to not only take care of my mom but always kept us informed! In fact the whole ICU department was outstanding and I cant praise them enough!! Thanks again everyone at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, you guys rockespecially nurse Jamey!!!
Stay away from this hospital! I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here; service and care is very poor. If I could give it no stars, I would.
Horrified with the ‘care’ my brother received here. A few nice people on the bottom of the totem pole who were caring but not empowered to help us in any real way. The social worker Theresa could not have possibly cared less about what happened to my brother. Pray you never end up here with any kind of mental crisis because not only will they not help you but they will be totally incompetent and unable to get you to some place that can. They care more about their policies and processes than they do about their patients.
I would like to thank all the hospital staff that helped me through surgery last weekend. I was looked after with caring and kindness. Thank you Dr Goliath and your surgery staff for saving my life. I’ll be in soon to see you. Thanks again everyone I met.
I had a great experience at Bolingbrook Hospital. The nursing staff went above and beyond to make my stay as pleasant as possible (although let's face it, no one in the hospital is on vacation!). I also appreciated that someone from the administrative staff came around just to check that I was having a good experience and was being taken care of. And a special shout out to Brandy, I truly felt like you cared and went the extra, extra mile. Thank you.
horrible experience here. My husband got admitted and told them the medications he was allergic to, yet as soon as he was in his room one of the medications was actually handed to him. He was so out of it he almost took it. They said they had no clue he was allergic to anything. The following morning my husband took his heart monitor off and no one came to see what was going on for an hour and a half. The doctors don't return pages. We were informed his test couldn't be done due to low staffing. The girl that transported us didn't even make eye contact with us let alone smile at us. However, one tech Fern was very sweet. She has a heart of gold and was so compassionate for us. Too bad we didn't have her more. Won't return will definitely go to Edwards from now on
I had a great experience with delivery here amazing doctors and rooms! Great quality, great staff, so happy to deliver here thank you!
Unfortunately I have to rate this hospital with a star. The ER and the staff there are a joke. Nothing like being put into a room and forgotten about for hours. This hospital never should have been built. No longer will I make the convenient trip to this "hospital". I will gladly take the drive to Naperville.
Worst experience ever. The hospital itself is nice but I've never met such rude people in my life. The staff acts like you owe them something when they're supposed to be helping YOU. That's what we pay them for. I will never go here again over my dead body.
The worst hospital ever! Take the extra 10 minute drive and go to Edwards in Naperville. Bolingbrook does not care about their patients they are rude. My dad was having symptoms of a heart attack and once they brought him into the EMERGENCY care room a doctor didn't come check on him for over an hour. I went out and complained and the lady literally said "We will get to him when we get to him" We left and went to Edwards because he needed to be seen immediately and they still tried charging us $1,000 for checking in.
You know when I saw this hospital being built I saw this as a win for the community but after a accident I had to come here and while I say they took me in a timely manner they lost points with me after when the nurse tending to my care didn't offer me crutches or a wheel chair and all the nurses at ER desk watched me hop in pain to rest room when I got it of restroom they continued to watch me without asking if I needed any help. , their follow up care is even worse ,my toes were turning black a d wanted to seek follow up care i called the number they gave me for orthopedic doc and told to call back tomorrow gets worse you'd think they would have someone local ,nope 20 miles away in joliet is effete they want me to drive to. Not at all happy with this aftercare.
I told them I had discharge on my eyes in the morning and had pink eyes. My eyes were never looked at or got anything for them. Was their close to 3 hrs. Quick X-ray, checked my breathing and 2 hrs. Later I got released with an antibiotic. Once I told them if they can check my eyes the nurse had a bad attitude. Always rushed, don't seem to care or help by communicating what is really happening. Very bad experience.
Phenomenal level of care! Came into ER in severe pain. I was seen almost immediately. Within two hours I had a complete understanding of my condition.
Nursing staff is exceptionally fast, efficient and compassionate. Doctors take the time to explain in layman's terms. I never felt rushed or talked down to.
I don't live here but have elected to have my surgery here rather than at home because of the excellent level of care. I've never been to a hospital even close to a good as this one. I highly reccomend this care facility.
My disabled vet father (79 yo) came here recently at the request of an at-home nurse after discovering he was dehydrated. He'd also been pretty depressed, wasn't eating right, wasn't bathing enough. The nurses here were amazing, they gave him a sponge bath, brought him food that my dad is still raving about (lots of healthy greens and fresh fruit). He can be a little hard to deal with, unhappy as he was, but the staff here were still very attentive to him, and we're all grateful for the care he received and generally for the sustained improvements we've seen in our dad's mood and habits since his visit ended. This was a good place to start his recovery--very kind to elder folks.
Why does a business whose clientele are all presumably people not at their best but in need of care provide the best access parking NOT to it's customers but to it's employees. You should see the line of very expensive automobiles parked out front closest to the entrance and there are even a plethora of empty spaces held for other well appointed vehicles. I wonder, if this doesn't really show the mind set of physicians and what they think of their customers, you know, the ones who are actually blessing them with their beautiful rides. Walmart and Home Depot welcome their customers with a more thoughtful facade of caring. Oh, I forgot, the insurance companies are the doctors customers not the patients. Oh stupid me.
Showed up with orders for both an ultrasound and a mammogram and was told that they are unable to perform either because they don't do a full breast ultrasound and I am too young for a mammogram. I am now here for 2h waiting on my doctor to change the order to targeted ultrasound. The staff is rude and instead of contacting my doctor, refused service and waited until I got kissed off enough to call my doctor and request a change. Still waiting. Now that Alexian Brothers aquired this facility, they need to clean house Both staff and doctors.
WENT IN DURING THE NIGHT TO THE ER WITH MY DAUGHTER. ONCE I CHECKED IN A MALE BALD NURSE NAMED SCOTT CAME TO GET ME AND HAD THE NERVE TO ASK ME WHAT EMERGENCY BRINGS ME IN AT 3:00 IN THE MORNING??????? I THOUGHT HEY JERK ISNT THIS AN ER WHICH IS OPEN 24 HOURS????!!!!!! WHEN I TOLD HIM MY DAUGHTER WAS RUNNING A FEVER FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS HE THAN ASKS ME SO YOU DECIDED TO BRING HER IN NOW AT 3A??????? THIS GUY IS PATHETIC AND CLEARLY DOESNT LIKE HIS JOB. DR WAS NICE BUT THAT WILL BE THE LAST TIME I EVER GO TO BOLINGBROOK ER. I DONT WANT TO BE QUESTIONED WHY IM THERE BY A BALD, BIG EARRED NURSE.
Went to ER, the girl with the dark hair and glasses was very nice. once I was put in a room is when the problems started. the nurse scott was ignorant and so full of himself. worst nurse ever!!!!! Dr was nice. if I ever go back and that scott nurse is there im leaving and going to Edwards.
Just had the birth of our baby boy over there. The maternity staff was very warm and courteous. They helped us with all our needs and showed personal affection and care. Our labor nurse was super nice, she helped my wife through the labor by checking on her every 30 min, helping her to restroom, water etc. Post partum care was great as well. They helped us with all the breast feeding and showed patience and understanding through the way. Thanks a lot guys for all your hardwork!
My experiences with Adventist Bolingbrook have always been positive. I have not been admitted or ever had an emergency, so I can not comment on that.. However, I have been there several times for tests and x-rays. I found the front desk staff to be very kind and professional. The blood tests were done without any issue and the staff was friendly and the wait was not that long. The X-rays I had went well also. I was taken in quickly and the staff was also friendly and professional.
