I'm so happy they upgraded the theater seats. For a while I was going up to Castleton. And thank God we can purchase and pick our seats!
**UPDATE 11/21/17** be aware that the Imax theater seats have NOT been updated.
I would give a 5 if they switch the nacho cheese back to the previous brand. I know this sounds silly, but I LOVE the pretzel bites and even though I live Nextdoor to another theater across town I come all the way to traders point because the food is much better. Or at least I used to. The new Tostitos cheese is runny and has a bad flavor that I no longer want to order the pretzel bites. In which case I might as well go back to the theater near my house. Sorry AMC but your new nacho cheese lost you a loyal customer.
I have been coming to this theater since I moved here in 2006, and it's always clean and the staff is friendly. In all my years watching movies here I only had one bad experience due to another patron being obnoxious. I complained afterward and the GM followed up with me and gave me a free ticket to any movie and offered to let me see the same film again for free as well.
Since they upgraded the theater with the new reclining seats in 2016 the experience has improved tremendously! I prefer to come here over any theater in town.
I like AMC quite a bit, this theaters chairs were extremely comfortable. The staff was actually really engaged with my wife and I about what movie we were seeing it was different in a good way. Passionate people working at this location.
Took my family to see a nice movie. Seats were awesome. No large crowds. I recommend this location!!
Movie is good, love the seats but for there popcorning being as expensive as it is and not having refills on brings me to believe that people should go to another movie theater. That's just my honest opinion. Everything was good besides that. I just feel like if I spent $56 dollars at your establishment and i cant get a refill on my popcorn like most other places do. Well that brings down my rating off them .. take it how you like it. Like i said just my opinion
All of my previous experiences at this theater have been good, a movie theater like the rest. It is relatively well maintained and typically crowded during peak hours. Today we came to see an advertised matinee and so far no one has opened the doors for us (regardless of our advanced purchase of tickets). Hoping they can see that we are here and would like to come in and watch the movie.
Update: we got in and will be seeing the movie. Really nice upgrades to the theater and all of the amenities.
This place use to be nice.. I wish they made a membership and only allowed people who bought a membership to these theaters. I went to see "Get Out" yesterday the 5:15pm show and we weren't made aware of our seating numbers.. that upgrade was left out the memo I guess.. so this lady, that brought two toddlers girls to see this rated R movie just comes up to us and said we were in her seats and we said nobody is in their assigned seat.. anyway we just scooted down to be polite and everything was cool. So then 10 minutes later her raggity a@@ kids started crying and talking and being all "post road"! I wish they wouldn't sell R rated tickets to people with guest under the age of 13. Anyway the theather there is "Thug Life" trash!
Who the heck thought that reserved seating was a good idea? This is horrible. People reserve seats with gaps, so others can't sit by twos or more. Horrible!!!!
The young staff member was very rude and cold. I haven't been to a movie theater in about 8yrs. My boys wanted to see The Lego Batman movie. I guess you have to reserve seats in advance. I didn't know that. Prior to coming I had called the store at least 3 different times that day because I had questions about the website information. Also the guy said they didn't have any seats together, but scattered. It was me, my 11yr old and 5yr old. I offered to pay for everyone and the little one could sit on my lap. He said No we only have one seat left. You just said the seats were scattered now you saying it is only one seat.
I love the new laz-z-boy type chairs in the theaters. Makes the movies worth seeing again. The filthiness of the old seats stopped me from going before. However, the management is still clueless about cleaning. The bathrooms are disgusting as it smells so bad in there and urine surrounds each toilet. But the most obvious, and simple to solve, is the rudeness of staff and amazing amount of trash and food all over the snack counter and behind it on the floor. I can't imagine it would cost more than a few bucks to make sure someone is cleaning up popcorn and butter that spills. And a simple training exercise to help the staff know that guests should be treated with kindness and respect would go a long way. Bottom line: I'll go there when I really, really want to see a movie, but if I can avoid it at allI will. Please clean this "what-could-be-beautiful" theater up just a tiny bit and it will be amazing.
Love this movie theater, I've been going here pretty regular since I was a teenager, there ate a lot of places around this movie theater that make for a fun night out with friends or a date night. (Cold Stone, Monica's Pizza, Chilli's, Chocolate place). They have done some remodeling and I could be more pleased, the seats recline ! I am extremely comfortable here. Always first choice for a movie theater.
