It was a great tour! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We took the personal golf cart your which was two hours long. The only disappointing part was that we couldn't go on the track because an event was going on. The museum was interesting and had many race cars - old and new types. There were a couple of exhibits about specific drivers which were interesting as well. We ended up spending three hours there altogether. Well worth the visit even if you aren't into racing (like me).

After missing attending in '20, the facility looked great. All I saw sparkled.
The men's room experience didn't make me lose my lunch.
Mobile signal was strong enough on site for dependable access.

How was Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the 500? Let me tell you. It was awesome. The race was historic! The winner won his fourth INDY 500 and his next Indy win and He will stand alone at the type. The race took our minds for three hours and enjoy being back.

We were at the speedway for the Indy 500 and it was fabulous! At 6am it was just starting to get busy, but parking went smoothly. The North 40 lot is perfect if your seats are in the NW Vista. The staff are very friendly. The race was awesome from start to finish. We got out of the parking lot fairly quick and it only took about an hour and a half to get to our hotel.

In case you just want to see the track, take tunnel 2 to the museum and you can get out and take pictures. The museum is amazing though if you have time. You can pay to have a driver take you around 2 laps at 180 mph. You need to sign up in advance. Fun place. I hope to catch a race there someday.

We went for the Christmas lights at IMS and it is a great experience. We paid $50 for our vehicle which included the speedy pass to avoid the lines. I highly recommend the speedy pass as the line was over a mile long to get in. You drive through the infield on the road course and on the front stretch of the track. Beautiful lights.

Fantastic. Huge fan for years. Stopped in only passing by on my way across country. Did not have time for a tour but was able to get a couple pictures of the track. No hassle gift shops for people looking for quick gifts on the road. Was in and out of there in less than an hour. Can't wait to come back later for actual race!

This place is huge! There was around 50,000 people when we were there and it almost felt empty. The Museum in the infield was great! There was a pipe band that came through and everything was super clean and we'll kept. The food and drinks were also really good and not over priced (for a race track).

A fun place to visit even without a race going on. A very nice museum with race cars including back to the earliest days of the track. A cute movie about how the track came to be and a nice bus tour of the track where you can get off the bus to "kiss the bricks." Additionally two very nice gift shops and a restaurant is also on the grounds.

We went for the Red Bull Air Race twice now, and really enjoyed the experience. You can see the entire race from any seat. Some seats can have trouble seeing the big screens which can be an issue.
If you are interested in camping, the grounds are right outside the track and your pass includes parking. Highly recommend it.response / report this review -

This was my first time in Indiana. I loved the speedway and thought that the museum did a great job with their exhibits. I think that the tour and museum should offer a combo price for only $30 instead of $20 each.

The museum was great. Easy to view everything and the guides were very informative but not intrusive. If you had a question they were willing to answer. Asked us if they wanted to take pictures of us in front of a few displays. Our only complaint is the signage on how to get to the museum from the main roads on outside of the speedway.

Always a good time to be had at the IMS. If you don't care for racing no problem. There is lots to do and see. We love to watch all the people. Trust me when I say it is entertaining.

Always a good time at the race track. Decided to up the ante and take the behind the scenes tour ( if I remember correctly an additional $10) for me and my family it was well worth it. Got to stand in the winners circle, see the press room, got to go to the top of the pagoda (beautiful views of down town Indy). Kiss the Brickyard and all. very nice tour. highly recomended

First of all, we are out-of-towners from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
LOVED THE EXPERIENCE.
If you've never been here
Go earlyreally early. Parking directly across the street cost us $20 and was well worth it.
Do your research on the potential weather for that day & plan ahead.
Do your research on what you are/aren't allowed to bring in & plan ahead.
Buy seats under the awning or you might get baked if you are out in the sun during the nasty part of the day.
None of the seats are padded but they more you pay for your ticket, the higher you'll sit, the more comfortable they'll be (hard plastic fold-down versus aluminum that doesn't move).
Food and other vendor prices are ATROCIOUS. Smart move says to wait until AFTER the event has finished to buy any merchandise as it'll be 30-50% off and you might be able to haggle even more.
The museum was pretty cool and well worth the price/time.
If you've never been - put it on your bucket list.

Once you experience the atmosphere of the 500, you will understand why Indy 500 is called "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing." My first 500 was back in 1994, I was watching at the back stretch. When the green flag dropped and 33 rockets roared passed me, I was instantly hooked.

I chaperoned a school field trip for my son. This was a very educational and fun tour experience. They brought us around in the pits, winners circle, Pagoda, museum and many other places. Each place had someone teaching about every aspect involved in race day. I would highly recommend this experience and would go back myself.

Feel the momentum of the Indy 500 even before the race. Well maintained auto racing facility. Full of history. Just Fabulous to be there even if it isn't the main event.

This place is iconic. It has a nice museum that kids and even non-car buffs can enjoy. The track tour gave a good behind the scenes look of the speedway. The races here are always fun to watch. I visit multiple times a year for various events.
