Gym has a good options of weights and machines. However, it is almost always PACKED. Gone here for four years. Staff is friendly, gym is always clean. They have a pool and basketball court. People frequently play games on the court, I've even been asked to join when they were a man short. Never experienced feeling judged or anything like that.
But the crowd. I never go after work, too busy. On weeknights I wait until 8pm or 9pm, otherwise I wouldn't get a parking spot. often workout Friday nights to avoid the crowd. Ridiculous. They have sold way too many memberships and don't appear to care.
This is a great gym for the price for gym normies (treadmills, machines, Pilates, other things that won't get you Gains).
If you're a Powerlifting Übermensch, this gym is still great if you work out anytime between 10pm - 10am. If you don't like those times, check the Google Maps Popular Times graph and don't go during peaks.
Downside is they only have 4 power racks that are full except for the above times, and TONS of machine weights barely anyone uses. Seriously, the footprint of the machines is 10x the power racks.
This gym would get 5 stars if they took stock of their machine weights, got rid of the 20% most unpopular ones, replaced those with more power racks, and addressed their shortage of 2.5 lb. plates.
This is a very nice location with pool and basketball court. It can get busy at peak times but so does every gym. When I travel to Austin this is the gym I use. 24 hour is very convenient when traveling around the state. It's nice to pull over and take a break
Not the best location. Hot tub didn't have bubbles sauna wasn't working steam room was turned up to insane level. Limited parking at peak hours. William Cannon better bet.
Extremely dissatisfied with everything from beginning to end and it hasn't even been a month with 24 fitness. I have been billed not once not twice but three times in less than a month incorrectly. Upon touring this gym my bf and myself we offered a trail period for $10 each. Great right? Not so much, wasn't told it automatically signs you up after the 7 days. I go in to the gym let them know and they say I am in a 1 year contract! I thought ok that's fine I guess but come to find out after they told me its $35 plus taxes for myself monthly I wouldn't be billed until a month later and my boyfriends is actually month to month so they can cancel it and said they did! Well they didn't!! When not one but to representatives that work at the front desk confirmed they will only bill me for mine. As of Today I have been billed $213.37 and I first went in on 09/11/2017 not even a month! and I have paid over $200 for this smelly, crammed unprofessional and dishonest establishment to rip me off of my hard earned money. I called customer service and the women said there is no notes indicating the month to month membership was requested to be discontinued. I am so frustrated with 24 Fitness. I recently moved to Austin and wasn't expecting to have such a horrible and dishonest experience. I need someone in charge and honest to contact me asap to cancel all services and be reimbursed for all of my charges.
Great gym but because of people hours and germs we rent ours.
Yes it's packed after work. Yes it's small compared to some other locations, but honestly there isn't a lot of options in the area. Gold's is more geared towards meatheads so I have always chosen 24. This location has great staff. The trainers work hard and the kids club staff is amazing. I like this gym a lot because I come here to train. My kids stay in the club as long as I need because they are having fun so I get time to do what I need to do. Ignore the obvious folks who aren't there to do work writing reviews, nothing will satisfy those types of people.
Overall a good value. Nothing amazing. Nothing terrible. Funny how people complain about every gym everywhere being busy after work. Try going at a different time and the gym has plenty of equipment available.

Disappointed with the direction this gym has gone recently (I've been a member for over 2 years). They took half the TV's and made them a consistent 24 Hour fitness commercial. Two corners of the facility are dedicated to special classes or training, none of the machines / equipment have been updated since I started going. Even though I went fairly regularly, the majority of the staff are less than friendly. There are few classes I actually enjoy, at times I'm actually available, and even then there may not be room for me. I could go on, but suffice it to say that raising my monthly payments (again) doesn't help their cause.
Constantly packed. Don't even try to get near the free weights. They are all taken. The staff is nice, but who the hell cares, when you have to park at HEB to go workout? Just not worth the price.
