Decent venue for large events. Being open air causes minor issues that are weather based. Parking is ample, but it is placed in the next town over. Lol. They do offer a tram if you're patient enough to wait on it. There are also a ton of bike rickshaw workers but they are priced very high and after the expected tip can easily cost more than the ticket for whichever show you are there to see.
Being a new track, CoTA is amazing! Very well laid out walking paths around the entire track provide views from any corner you want, and the shuttle from the infield to the main grandstand makes it very easy to get from vendors to seats and back. Very helpful and friendly staff in all areas I encountered them. Multiple parking lots to choose from so no walk to your seats is that far if planned properly. Even the city of Austin plans traffic around the track well, with the county sheriff directing traffic and shoulders opening for through traffic. Great overall experience at this track.
World class! Great track for motor sport buffs, excellent venue for other events. I’ve been here a few times for motorsports - road track makes for excellent racing. Been to several motor sport venues throughout the states and this is definitely the one that caters the most to all but specially foreign visitors.
Every event has a wide range of pricing tiers, from unassigned “grounds entry” tickets to reserved assigned seats and all the way to first class - exec suite. If you want a better fan experience : take it up a tier or two on pricing and you’ll see the difference in service and quality of offerings, track view and ambience.
Still my favorite track to watch some of the world's greatest racing series. So many great viewing/photo spots around this circuit that can be walked to with a GA pass.
Watching MotoGP at this track is amazing! So many great corners and tons of elevation changes throughout the lap.
Can't wait to get out on this track for a driving event!
This is a great outdoor venue that accommodates all needs. Getting in and out of the venue is much easier than most other venues I've been to; and I've been to venues all across the country, big and small. I took an Uber to and from. I was a little concerned about getting out and having to wait a long time but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. It was really great! We saw Foo Fighters, which was probably the best show I've seen to date. I definitely would love to see then again!
Beautiful track! Great viewing even if you have general admission. The beer is pretty pricey but what do you expect? Also a surprisingly good venue for an outdoor concert. Sound quality was superb.
The facility is amazing. The track is incredible, and the views you get are pretty great. One of the better general admission tracks out there. What keeps it from a 5 star rating is the lack of water stations around the track. I feel that do a track it's size, water should be more accessible. Another factor is the price of the food. It's nearly twice as expensive as it needs to be. I've been to this track numerous times now, and those are still my biggest issues with it.
Great venue in a great city(kind of). Food and drinks overpriced but what do you expect in a place like this. Parking sux and is why didn't get 5 stars. Did I mention the parking? Its in the middle of nowhere is the only issue I don't think this place is actually in Austin on the outskirts its a bit outside the city. Travel to the countryside is worth it for your event. Staff inside and out a little pushy but they are probably overworked and underpaid. There was short security guy named Jesse who worked by the entrance checking people who was exceptionally cool. I will be back.
Came here this Summer to see Cheap Trick and Foreigners 40th concert. I had 3rd row seats and it was amazing. I might say that it was almost 100 degrees that day in the shade. I had VIP tickets and waited over an hour in the full sun, on concrete waiting to enter the venue. That part was a nightmare! But, once you get past that, there's plenty of seating among the shady oak trees, to grab a bite before the concert begins. There's many, many vendors for food, drinks and treats, and of course special events, concerts and bands will have their booths selling t-shirts and memorabilia! They do need to think about the Texas heat, and maybe put a few tents up near the entrance. Still,a great time and awesome venue. Great time, and I will definitely be back!
Decent venue, but they GOTTA add more bathrooms. I had to wait in a line about 20 people deep, and that was a short line I went upstairs behind the stage and found. The main bathrooms had lines about 70 people deep Besides that they had decent fair food selections and a really good craft beer selection for a concert venue.
This review is for the track and not the high dollar events there. I raced chumpcar here and the facilities and staff are top notch. Amazing experience. Would love to do more track days when the funds allow or someone donates a few
Very will layed out. The staff was courteous and professional. They ensured a safe and enjoyable time. All areas were clean, bathrooms were spotless. Concessions were reasonable. Can't wait to return.
Beautiful venue super secluded! No shade what so ever!! not sure what the builders were thinking building the outside venue in Texas ?!?! Staff great, plenty of restrooms beer vendors walking around selling you beer, popcorn, waters and more. BRING PLENTY OF CASH TIP TIP these guys hustle!!!
Our most favorite place in TX! we visit very year and it gets better and better! we'd like to see a formula 1 race but working on it! the grounds themselves are okay a hike to get to from the upper parking lots. they do have a shuttle and that's helpful. could stand more choices for food shops but it's all good.
until next 2018 MotoGP!
This is a large track with some great elevation changes. I was there for Formula One. Its was an awesome time. Even if you do not have stand tickets, the general admission (lawn) is really good. Lots of great places to view the track. To get to the event, do not drive, as you will be gouged for parking. There are many shuttles from Downtown to the event. Fair priced!
