Overall, I had a great experience here. I stayed for 3 nights, and the hosts were very accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure I had a good stay, often made recommendations for experiences, and would call anytime I needed a restaurant reservation. In the mornings they would make breakfast B&B style, or you could enjoy a cold continental type breakfast (e.g.: cereals, fruits, yogurts).
I'm not sure about all of the bad experiences posted here, but I witnessed the hosts interacting with a multitude of diversities, and all seemed to be friendly/positive interactions Indian, Chinese, local, and American.response / report this review -

ALERT
This accommodation provider were notorious as known as extremely hostility towards Asian guests or suspected asian-looking guests.
Think twice before you book your stay here if you an Asian or look like one.response / report this review -

I heard about how you tread Asian tourist, and you must apologize to them. I am living in NZ for 10 years, but never have seen such a rude people like you.

Great B&B. Lovely hosts, with a good sense of humor. Good location, wonderful breakfast food, excellent rooms. Nothing negative to say about this place, I'd gladly return. Highly recommend.

My husband and I concluded our honeymoon in New Zealand in Wanaka, and spent three nights at Wanaka Springs Lodge. John and Glynis were wonderfully hospitable, and great to talk to. The space is very well kept and perfectly relaxing. We were welcomed with a local sparkling wine, which we enjoyed in the property's hot tub (outside, in the gazebo - VERY relaxing). The nightly "happy hour" was a lovely way to talk to other travelers and to John and Glynis, with local beverages and small bites. John and Glynis were very knowledgeable regarding the restaurants and activities in the area - they had great recommendations for where we should go/what we should do, depending on how much of an excursion we were looking for and also depending on what type of food experience we were looking to have. They booked us an incredible dinner at Bistro Gentil, and led us to a winery in the area and to delicious scones on our walk back from the winery. They also recommended this fantastic flight adventure that my husband was very excited about (and it did not disappoint). This was a great spot, and we definitely recommend it.

I would happily recommend these accommodations to anyone staying in Wanaka. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are recently renovated, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. Our hosts were excellent and they prepared a delicious breakfast.

I love staying here - though I must admit I'm biased as this is my parent's place.
It's a beautiful lodge with great gardens, super close to town, very clean, and my parent are a bit of alright too!
I would definitely recommend staying here, and not just because Lyn and Murray are my folks.response / report this review
