This hotel is in a great location in Newmarket and the rooms have a nice kitchenette and bathroom. They allow one parking space per room (right outside your window, ground level) and it is numbered, which is nice. Plenty of good food and shopping nearby within walking or driving distance. For me, that's where the positives end.

In April, this place had mosquitoes out the wazoo! As soon as we arrived in our room, I noted a few of them. I closed the window and killed the ones I saw, assuming that would be the end of story.

Nope- woke up with SIX bites!

Now, here's the other part: if you're a person who gets itchy and swollen at moz bites, but also haven't been bitten by NZ mosquitos before, you're gonna be itchy and red and swollen. That's exactly what happened to me.

Walls are incredibly thin and there is no sound proofing at all. You can clearly hear any conversation happening in the surrounding rooms, flushing toilets etc. Not great if you like sleep.
Is in a great location and the rooms are very clean, tidy although quite small.
