I have never written a bad review about anything. This place deserves one though. The lobby and lounge smell like an old pub, the flooring, rooms and bathroom are filthy. I didn't even bother checking the kitchen based on the rest of the place.

They have a no refund policy as well so if you need to see for yourself do not book more than one night. It was bad enough that I took the hit and left after one night, I would have left the night previously but it was late and I was tired.

The best place to stay in Auckland, excellent value for money, fun & safe with great staff. Good wifi and cheap weekly rates. Clean and spacious and location is central. 10 out of 10

A better than average hostel, good location near Auckland's CBD, staff really helpful, they got me a proof of address letter to open a bank account. Nice kitchen and lounger areas, many people end up staying here longterm as they offer good weekly rates. Bathrooms are spacious and clean and beds have good mattresses. Well worth checking it out.

This place charged me even though I cancelled my booking with them within the free cancellation period. They also charged me when they claimed that no prepayment was needed. They will rip you off and try to scam you. No replies to emails. The guy on the phone was completely and utterly useless, clearly had no intention to help us out. Terrible customer service and clearly dodging our emails to keep our money. Save yourself the trouble, find another place to stay.

A well organized hostel, in the centre of Auckland. Friendly helpful staff and cleaners. Rooms are very spacious with large kitchen and cozy lounges. Nice art on walls, very cheap weekly rates and has fast unlimited wifi. A lot of guests stay here a longtime as they have good job boards.

Clean hostel with friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere. Not a party hostel. Cheapest hostel around the CBD which is just a couple minutes walk away.

I arrived early and was welcomed by the manager, he allowed me to leave my luggage and I checked in at 11am. The double room I had was quite spacious and had flat screen tv and very clean bathroom.
The common areas in the hostel were nice, especially the kitchen and the outside courtyard. Wifi was extra but was fast, overall a very good hostel

This hostel is an absolute nightmare. They charge an absurdly high key deposit ($50) and I witnessed the manager arguing with several groups about returning the money. My first duvet had dried mucous all over it, someone had obviously blown their nose into it. The long term guests stand underneath the dorm room windows all night smoking and drinking. At one point I overheard the manager refusing to do something about a room with bedbugs because "the guests had brought them"?? Do yourself a favor and stay at a YHA hostel or anywhere else. Oh they also charge you for the letter proving that you live there, a service provided for free by most other hostels. Internet is very expensive an slow as well.

I didn't have the best experience at this hostel. First off, they charge you a $50 key deposit. I had to catch a bus early, and when I went to get my deposit back there was no one at reception, even though it was within their posted hours. The lounge was a total mess with beer bottles everywhere and reeked of beer and smoke. They lock the kitchen at night, so if you need to leave early you can't have breakfast. And they charge you to use a mug in the kitchen! You actually have to "buy" a used mug. Also, there were drunks hanging out front when I left in the morning, and a girl who was staying there warned me that they had been acting aggressive and to be wary. Bottom line, don't stay here if you can avoid it. There are so many nicer places in NZ

When i stayed the whole place was so hot and uncomfortable and being in a 12 bed dorm didnt help! But it is right in the center good if you are young like late nights and noise

If you like nice people who aren't afraid of beer and also have a bit money, this is your place. It's got everything a hostel needs. Just one star of for pricing.

Hostel is good location near Sky Tower and the airport and intercity bus stations. Bedrooms nice and clean with good bathroom facilities. Only hostel in city with carpark so very useful for my car.
Staff were very kind and helpful and large Asian super market just across the road. Price to stay here very cheap

Its 2am and people are still partying under the windows and in the hallways. Drunk bogans everywhere yelling and harassing women.

Pillows and sheets are old and dirty. Same with everything in the kitchen. You even have to pay for mugs.

No management. No privacy. No respect.

I'm really surprised this place is allowed to run business. I wouldn't even call this a business, this is just a scam.
